I bought a 2020 SL navara i got the Nissan upgrade black pack Rims not sure if its the tyres or suspension but it handles terribly in the wet, very tail happy.
Changing tyre size will affect your speedometer. There is a website that gives you a rough average of what it will be. Going from the standard size tyre 255/70R16 to a 265/75R16 will roughly be out by 3-4km/h however your standard speedometer isn't completely accurate from factory. Fuel economy will be affected however since it's not a massive increase in tyre size it will only change 1-1.5L/100km on average
@@JakeFromSnowFarm that's wrong mate, i have 265 75 r16s on my nav and it corrects the speed. When I set my car to 100km cruise control the GPS speed is 100 aswell
@@trent4439 Nissan's Speedos come out of the factory 4km/h slower to comply with ADR rule 18 (the 10% higher or lower). Such that this is a 4wd vehicle, it is expected that people will do tyres and a lift. That's why the Speedos read higher than true "road speed".
I think my navara came with 255/60R18. I changed those to 285/55R18 (Cooper AT3). Now the speedometer is spot on (compared with my GPS). Fuel economy has gone down about 5 to 10% - seems to be less affected on country roads and more on motor way.
stock rim is 16 inch so stock tires are within the 31 inch range, pretty sure the new tires are 33 inch as per the "minimal lift". good place to start though, keep up the good work and great vids
Don’t expect to have any new car warranty if you fit any accessories including genuine I had a rear axel seal fail any Nissan Australia would not cover it 48500klms just under 2years old
Daniel Van der Meer they have to prove that any faults to a specific part of the vehicle are caused by the modified parts. Always get assurance and documentation from the parts supplier that their parts will not avoid warranty.
Right or wrong, legal or not not... a lift in ride height and bigger wheels is gonna see many people defected. QLD cops currently going after all lifted 4x4's - for no good reason of course. SA cops are going after legally fitted lift kits with no need to prove their claims.... sad state of affairs....
David Forster I thought they scrapped operation lift in qld after that many petitions from the 4x4 community and because the government had no statistical evidence to back their claims for the operation
posts a 4x4 mod video doesnt list the car and gear
What's the price on this setup I have the same car
for people love modification; i recommend ARB Air Locker andDobinsons MRR (but pay attention to PROFENDER MRR adjustable shocks)

Did changing the tyre size affect the speedometer/odometer accuracy? What affect did the modifications have on fuel economy?
I was thinking the same!

What size rim and tyre did you get ?
What size rim and Tyre did you put after the suspension lift ? Just got my SL 2017 and looking to make like yours without the crazy engineering.
You need wheel alignment
Looks good and all how much did it cost
I love the Navara but I would love to see these mod comparisons with the Ford Ranger/raptor.
How's the ride quality after the modification? Did it become bumpy?
What size of tires... What models of Bilstein shocks absorbers? Can you give more detailed info please!
The tyres look like and most likely are 265/75R16 and the bilsteins shocks are standard 2" ones, meaning no adjustable dampening.
@@JakeFromSnowFarm any idea on the offset of the steel rims?
What wheel offset you went ?
So u start by saying all it can do then u modify it so what it's suppose to be able to do it will do?
Brakes also stronger steering ends and also comprods. LSD differential helps wit the fwd
Got a white new Navara for towing too :)
2:16 bigger piston in the shock... You sure lol they look the same OD 🤣
2:53 the air bag corrects the spring rate.... Yea righto what ever you recon mate..lol

How does a Navara compare to a GU Patrol offroad?
What size tires did you install?
Looks like 265/75R16
@@JakeFromSnowFarm that looks a bit small for 265

Hi caradvice. Can you post a picture of thr upper control arm of this navara? With the 2" lift?
This is accurate to the engine , this modified

Yea they know what there doing...lol working with floor jacks on the ground lol
How can they sell a car as a 3t tow vehicle and then not fit equipment that can put up with it? There’s a rat here somewhere...
