Hi Chris, Daintree National Park sure looks like an area we would enjoy. Great tip on paying attention to the tides when booking the croc tour. I was shocked to hear this area is 180 million years old, that is so cool! I (Jamie) would have to try some of that fresh fruit ice cream 🍦😁
You guys would love the area...it's so pretty and expecting that mango Ice cream would have been your first choice. Older than the Amazon too...I couldn't believe when I heard that and why this rainforest is so popular compared to others. I have another heritage listed rainforest area right near my home... not sure how old it is but doesn't look that different ....lol
Another great video Chris. Brought back memories of the last time I was there but that's over 20 years ago now - time flies. Stayed at PK's and it was stinking hot. It really is a beautiful part of the State though and we might have a day trip up there from the upcoming cruise when it ports in Port Douglas. Still deciding on that one. Take Care and thanks for putting this together.
It wasnot hot at all for us and that surprised me. Nice temp all day and needed a jumper most nights... I know it was winter time but still seemed cooler than I thought. It is a lovely area of the world and I could see myself living there, but not sure i like the crocs waters and lack of places to swim ...lol
Very cool day trip! Looks like it was relaxing, even though crocs were in the mix. Nice of you to include some drone shots...that location looked lovely, but shame about the cloud cover. Great thumb and work getting the Mitsu on the map. ;) Cheers Chris!
Hey nate...it was a very nice day trip , but yes, was a shame about the cloud cover. Was interminant throughout the day so we did get some sun...but at least it wasn't raining....lol
Ok, seriously, your guide was AMAZING! How the heck did he spots all that wildlife? Everything you showed today was so gorgeous Chris! Sucks it wasn’t clear skies but at least that keeps it cooler! Nothing worse than running around sweaty all day 🥵
Only time to explore North Queensland is in Winter, otherwise you are sweating big time. I think the guide much know the common hangouts and just tries them all, some of the crocs were so tiny that you would never see at a distance..LOL It was a brilliant day trip to head further north and we got so much else done doing it that way,
We started at Port and ended at Cape Trib for this trip... but it is possible to drive back to port, will just take longer to get back over the ferry 👍👍
