Nice
😁😁👍
Honestly I don't understand some of your complaints. Whenever you get on a boat there is a chance of getting sea sickness, that’s why there is medication for it in case you need it. High winds and big waves … sorry but that's just nature. Look up the weather forecast before you go there. And even then it's the ocean, weather can change quickly. Sorry that nature doesn’t care about your scheduled trip. It's the same when people go whale or dolphin watching and then complain when they don’t see many whales or dolphins. The animals aren't there to entertain you 🤷🏻♀️ there is always a chance that they won't show up. It's not an enivorment controled by and tailored to humans.
@@myeyesburn641 appreciate your comment but a lot more happened than what's mentioned in this video, the blog link explains more. They are a long, expensive trip and just want to let people know things that can affect your enjoyment, so not to waste your money. I have taken this trip a few times and this was the only one that was bad for us, otherwise it can be a nice option. Although the deterioration out there is more than other pontoons. I booked this trip in advance, so when it came to finding out the bad weather, I couldn't cancel without losing $600 for Matt and I. I took medication the night before and in the day, but still with 200 people throwing up in the same contained area and a baby throwing up over itself right in front of me, it's enough to make me unwell even with medication. I tried to escape outside, but manager told me it was too dangerous with the waves and had to sit back inside with the vile smell. Once there, the snorkelling area was reduced to maintain safety and control and Most novice swimmers only spent 10 minutes in the water because of the waves and swell. Yes, this is all apart of nature and something the tour company can't control but Overall, I thought the company should have cancelled the trip. Especially since it was too dangerous to sit outside the boat and reducing the snorkelling area.
2 questions; Did you have to use any 4WD gears or just a high clearance car would do? That snake freaks me out, do they attack us if we encounter one in the pool? Lovely video. Thank you for all the tips.
@@EdgePereira for the water level in this video...just high clearance and no need to engage 4wd. However, different conditions and higher rainfall could change that. That snake scared the crap out of me 🤣🤣 at first, but generally more scared of you, than you are of it. Just wait for it to move on first Thanks for watching 😁
As a Canadian who's lived in both for an extended periods of time. Sunshine Coast will always be my favourite place in the world. My wife and I are thinking about moving there in some years time.
@@Master.Cheeks that's awesome to hear..thanks for sharing 😀
That’s not correct about Bribie Island, its vice versa, the surf is on the east side and the west side is the calm side. Is that woman corrupt?

Great video Chris, don't know when you found time to film it all. I never saw you doing it. To the other reviewer, I don't like big crowds either but coped alright. Just get onboard and enjoy yourself. 🎉
Filmed it in bits and pieces throughout the journey, but getting better to find a balance between enjoying myself and working LOL
Great video Chris, must be one of your longest yet? Am yet to experience a cruise, we are not really into crowds so may not be for us. Thanks for sharing your experience. Happy New Year to you and Matt. Cheers Phil xx
HAHA, Yep - Longest video and took forever to put together. I even deleted some tips as I felt it was too long! The crowds were a bit of an issue for me, but definitely ways to work around it! A big happy new Year to you too .....lets see what adventures we can both get up to in 2025!

With these winds and currents, they should have cancelled it. I fully understand your point of view. We also had strong winds, but not as strong as this. I liked my day very much, although the 4 hours were a bit short. If you want to spend more time on the reef, you have to start in cairns instead of Airlie Beach (6 hours vs 4 hours on the reef).
@@_RTheBruce thanks for the tip... I've done the pontoon trip from Cairns and Port Douglas too and while the weather was better on those trips, I still found them too short in comparison to the money spent. I'll probably do more inner reef trips next time 😀
Thanks

@ ha ha I know! Gonna need a few Jerry’s of fuel to drive the top and back if it was that big 🤣
@@pinni74 Your right about that 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for showing a less than ideal day out there. I would do it just because I had an amazing day out there this month. It was more than what I hoped for after watching you video. Plan according to the schedule and you have time to enjoy all the included activities. 1 to 1.5hours in the water is fine with me, by that you time have seen most sea creatures. Most visitors on my boat trip did not bother to venture out and see more anyway so the pontoon operator did not even need to restrict the swimming area. Mind you that was a 34C day with no swell or wind.
@@Guoenyi I'm so glad you had a good day and got to see what you wanted. I have done this trip several times and this was the only bad experience, so if the weather is great then it can be worth checking out 👍😀
