- Pakistan's 'Mother Teresa' passes away
The woman who became known as "Pakistan's Mother Teresa" for devoting her life to saving others' lives has died at the age of 87.
Doctor Ruth Pfau opened Pakistan's first centre to treat people with leprosy and in turn helped to transform the lives of more than 60,000 people.
Al Jazeera's Caroline Malone reports.

I would be offended if I was remembered by somebody else's name, I read the title and thought, well doesn't she have her own name? Why can't they call her by her own name instead? This seems rude and disrespectful to her memory.

She was a missionery and this is what missionaries do, they give their lives away to help others.

She was called “Mother Teresa” of Pakistan probably because she is also Christian Catholic nun. Her congregation was that of the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. May she intercede for us now.
I hope that part of her that followed the example of Our Lord Jesus Christ be not erased, and influence future Pakistani generations to do the same.
