Simi, you made me feel that I was in the lounge with you both, quiet with my ears open. Your gentle probing and sharing of the anecdote of dumb charades is epic. It was quite obvious to me that you share a personal relationship going back years, and you both are, while comfortable in your skin, equally comfortable with each other. The other bit I liked was when speaking about old friends, and Ratan almost sheepishly admitted that he was not good at keeping in touch. All I could do was silently chuckle.
Gosh, I just realized that this interview is like over two decades ago and yet there is a sense of the contemporary, not just in the décor but also in the words. Brava!!!

Yeah & nowadays people exploit lives of others by propagation of fake stories, news & gossip because they realised that it's easier to attract eyeballs by planting or repeatedly glorifying negativity or bad behaviour. Hosts like Karan literally feasted on the destruction of relationships in the industry as it made way for viral news and kept elevating the TRPs but in the process the Indian audience lost out on so many beautiful people and so many beautiful stories which needed to be told rather than who slept with whom and who's a virgin. This is the reason I miss people like Simi Garewal because there were so many good things to learn from the way she treated her guests and never made them uncomfortable, her English too was a delight to listen to and I saw her as my English teacher.😁

He was standing in the immigration queue as any ordinary passenger. The officer spotted him and came up to him and called him forward. I was in awe of him then. Inspite of being such a great personality, he never felt like one and didn't take advantage of his position, unlike the other high and mighty. May his soul rest in peace and rise in glory.

Simi ji... the audience needs you back... please start your rendezvous show again... nobody can touch you in terms of class and warmth during your tête-à-tête... it’s not only enjoyable to watch but it’s where you learn your talking and listening skills... a finishing school in itself... you are unique in your interpersonal communications and hence you stand out... please start a new season... there is no one who can come close to you in this regard and I believe your new season will be awaited by many...

True Gem . Bharath Rathna must b awarded to him immediately . He is the true Pithamaha greater than Bheeshma . He went on his ventures ,making profit ,working tirelessly , giving job opportunity n earning back to people n n donating crores n crores of rs back to people n in times of crisis , he was always there even before government of India took first step n specially during the COVID ,he was the first person to keep aside on my suggestion n donate 1000 crores rs to COVID relief . His humbleness n humility n honesty n truthfulness what makes him gem . He was walking holding his shoes in hand when he was in Puttaparthy to meet Sathya Sainath . He has reached the highest heaven already . He has no rebirth again on this earth . God will bless him to merge back with him as he is the very disciplined devotional person apart from successful business entrepreneur. ❤

This show makes me understand the actual human being hidden behind such big names, watching this in 2022 reminds me of the things we missed and how badly we are influenced by Bollywood. Simi come back!!! ❤️

What an interview!! Two great personalities. Was feeling so proud to watch this interview as an Indian, as a resident of the Steel City - Jamshedpur ( or Tatanagar ) founded by the Tatas & spoken of in the interview multiple times, & as an employee of the Tata group . Long live the man. Thanks Simi ji for this.
