Cool little project , Everyone loves a shorty 🤙 I have a shorty landcruiser and one of the best mods i ever did was removing a leaf or 2 from each corner. New lift kit didnt help, only once i removed 1 or 2 leafs from each side i finally had a comfy ride. You can remove the leaf 2nd from the bottom or 2nd and 3rd from the bottom to give you a smoother ride without effecting the ride height too much.
I’m loving this series! Who’d of thought you would see Rowan Atkinson and a Patrick Swayze build a car together on RUclips 😮Those old Patrols are cool and you’re right it looks sick without the flares and leaving a bit of poke. One tip, go and get a spray tin of weld through primer and spray the back of those patch panels before you weld them on or you will be having rust come through again in no time. Also get down an epoxy primer on the bare metal before you put any bog on it, the body filler absorbs and holds moisture and will cause rust, but if you put epoxy primer first it will seal the metal. Also any bits that are still a bit rusty around your repairs, hit it with some rust converter or rust encapsulation before just priming over. Even if money is tight, find a way to get a few products to do the job right or I reckon you will be kicking yourself when your little red wagon starts to sprout rust spots all over again a short time down the track. Good luck boys and keep up the good work!
go grab a $50 hammer and dolly kit, or start getting creative, thick still tray whatever try and dress your panels after folding them, doesnt take much to beat to about right leaving a much better result for minimal effort. that and with steel try not to mix gal with mild. will promote rust at the welds as the two steels wont work with eachother.

Great work guys looks amazing
925 for the turbo sd33 is a steal. That’s not bad for first time welding and grinding.
Definitely reconditioned too, the engine is spotless and runs and starts so well, pretty happy so far-
absolutely awesome build! you should come and help me fix mine😂
Should have had a go at pollising the porsche in the back ground first.
