I own this Blue U50 and it’s the most unique and technically capable modern watch in my collection. The only thing that initially gave me pause was the potential wear to PVD/DLC coating. Apparently, the tegimented steel that backs the coating, prevents dents that undermine the structure under the coating and (mostly) prevent flaking and wear that you see on non-hardened steel cases. Very cool!
Thanks, that was a very good comparison! I think both watch ooze cool vibes equally but I give the overall win to Sinn due to its proportions. Great taste and another great video from you! 🍻
I own a Sinn U50 and it is indeed a fantastic watch. But if I could change anything on both watches, it would be their hands. The Tudor snowflake hour hand and the lego hands of the U50. I really enjoyed this video. Excellent work as always!
I just bought the U50 fully tegemented (not black) a few days ago. I have had the BB Ceramic for about a year. Both are terrific and keepers (for me), but very different. The U50 is a little tank. VERY solid and heavy (for its size). Being smaller in every dimension, its much easier to wear with long sleeves, jackets and tight cuffs. I just love how it wears on my 6.75 inch wrist. Legibility is excellent and the date function subtle. Bezel action is very stiff and just OK. A little bit of play side to side. Running at +4 seconds per day, which is great. Bracelet and clasp are fine. Not Rolex Oyster comfortable, but feels strong and functional The key is to get the right combination of links and mico adjustment. If too loose or too tight, I can see how the edges could be a little sharp. The BB Ceramic is (in my opinion) a great looking watch. If you look closely, there are cool little details, like the very slight sunray on the dial and the minor distortion from the curved crystal. The ceramic case is light and comfortable hot or cold. However, at 50mm lug to lug and 14+ mm thick, it just barely fits me. With any type of rubber band its nearly unwearable under a tight cuff or jacket. For me, it almost makes it a summer only watch. I bought a fabric strap to wear it with in the winter. The movement is nicely decorated and is running at about +2 seconds per day. Bezel action is great with zero play. Legibility is fine despite stealth dial markings. I always look forward to wearing it.
The tactical black case of the U50 looks tactical and utilitarian, or at least it would do if it wasn’t combined with a very un-utilitarian blue “moon burst” dial. It needs a black dial IMO. But that’s subjective, and tastes differ! 😉 I love your videos though, excellent work as usual, thank you!
thats good just saw rubber b support for BB Ceramic. will order soon, im in a area they dont ship to…. is it comfortable for hot and cold all day wear?
Apart from which one is more beautiful, because that is a personal matter, Tudor wins in every area (better timepiece, better material, etc.) except functionality of the diving ring.
Some of the Tudor watches because of the domed sapphire crystal that adds 2mm... People assume it's thick. The BB Chrono 1st gen is” thick” almost “15mm” The ceramic is about 14.3mm. If you measure without the domed crystal it's 12mm. The beauty of the domed crystal in certain light settings I believe is why Tudor keeps it there.
I have that watch and it is so queer! On the other hand it's super functional, but then again, the MOP dial isn't the most functional, especially in the dark. It's a beauty, though.
@@Ossory88 it suits well with several outfits and I'm not going night diving with it. It is interesting. I've thought about getting the basic model to go with it, but I have several other watches that I want to experience. This blue model would be less controversial, but I don't know... The tension there is certainly not dull.
There is no comparison between the two watches. Sinn is a utilitarian naval dive watch practical daily use of German origin that is in a league of its own. The Tudor BB Ceramic has a far superior movement METAS COSC that is competing with Omega's 8900 series with a higher level of accuracy and anti-magnetic Gauss specification more for occasion casual wear as opposed to a real practical daily robust wear. If one can afford it, get both as you cannot go wrong. It's a Sinn for any true watch aficionado not to get one but it is not a sin for anyone not getting a Tudor!

Love the Tudor it’s timeless plus the movement is on another level
I really like that Sinn. The bezel on the BB doesn’t seem very useful as it‘s hard to read.
the Sinn is wicked.
I think we all know the truth...Tudor looks amazing! This will be a collectible in the years to come.

Awesome comparison.
Both great picks. The Tudor is a hidden beauty, and the Sinn is a beautiful fume dial. Where did you buy your straps?

Tudor will be very sort after in time because of its looks plus materials great looks
Interesting, as they are at the moment selling at significant preowned B +P these days.
I think you'd love the Tudor FXD, very similar to the Sinn. It's basically a mix between these 2 watches.
Yes, I hesitated a couple of times picking it up
But better!
I own a Sinn 756 ( which isn't a diver but is 200m WR) and a Pelagos LHD so love both brands, but in this line up I'd have the Tudor
Love my Sinn BS..
I have my Ceramic on a military green rubber b. give a try!
Both are beautiful!

@@Geniusclicks I just got it in December. In my country is winter, but it’s comfortable and it wears pretty good!
Sinn u50 for sure
Stunned by how much I liked that U50 yesterday. Going to be hunting one down for myself.
Sinn for me.
Sinn U50 ♥
The PVD on the bezel of the BB is so easy to scratch unfortunately

Ps I have sinn but the Tudor is a better watch is my opinion.
Still love that Tudor. Do you find it too thick in day to day use?
No, not at all. Really a great watch that feels special
i agree the black stealth makes it wear very small
I have a 6.25 inch wrist and it wears fine. Light weight and all black makes it wear smaller and more comfortable than the steel version.

If u want it even thinner you wear it without the nato underneath.
Check out the mop u50!

@@ollik8192 sooo.. yes or no?
Have the very same Sinn (plus 2 variants of the 556i). Prefer this U50 to my Seamaster 300 and 42mm Pelagos
How come?
@@K.J.H_ mainly the thickness or lack of, as it melts onto the wrist.
@@cosmojames7710 right, yeh wearability makes a big difference to how you feel about a watch.
Tudor1 , Sinn2

The Sinn would be my choice - much more legible.
U50. Easy choice for me.
Both are nice but I won’t buy them, the Sinn is still available here in Germany
Sinn much more a tool piece no matter the movement accuracy.
