    Great video matey 👏🏻. I'm a registered Aqualisa Installer and saw this come through from their marketing team a whole back. It's a great idea and certainly makes like a lot easier. It's a shame there isn't something similar for a concealed shower valve but I think that might be asking too much 😂. Similar to other comments, remote working is a strange concept. If you have a bath filler you still have to put the plug in to fill the bath. If you have a shower enclosurer you still have to close the shower door before you flood the room! So I've never really been convinced about smart showers. But heh ho. Thanks for taking the time to put the content together. And enjoy Croatia 🇭🇷

    James, you are a legend for making me aware of this product! 😍 At first, I was thinking why the hell do I need to control my shower from my phone?
    But this actually solves a big problem I currently have. My shower is leaking behind the wall and down to the room below. I’ve deduced that it is leaking behind the connectors on the wall where the pipes connect into them. I can only assume that the last homeowner / plumber didn’t connect the pipe behind the wall to the 150mm spaced fittings properly. I was thinking that I need to remove a tile or 2, re-connect the pipes to the 150mm spaced fittings properly, then put the tiles back on. A job I have been putting off for a long long time. However with this product, I can just disregard those 150mm spaced fittings, and install the new shower through the loft. Absolutely awesome! Now I just need to find out if it’s compatible with my Stuart Turner pump...

    Like the easy install. Be good for new installs where you can't or don't want to cut into the wall. Changing temp and on/off from a phone is a bit pointless but usage info would be interesting.

      These have been popular in replacing bar showers when renovating bathrooms for years due to one pipe feeding the outlet from the processor and this model can be fitted after tiling. I've fitted many of these processors and they normally go in the airing cupboard or loft space. There is a pumped option available when you need dedicated stored cold and hot from the hot water cylinder. There are non pumped options for unvented systems, dual outlet and wireless buttons. Many options are available from other companies where bath fillers can be set to fill to a certain amount . This isn't an example of a professional installation but a how to install and an advertisement.

    You regularly tell us to fit a water softener I live in Lincolnshire where the water is so hard it comes out the tap in lumps. But my plumber says I can’t fit a water softener with my idea boiler as it will wreck the heat exchanger. Is this true?

    • @tomstrutton4351
      @tomstrutton4351 2 года назад +1

      If your boiler has an aluminium heat exchanger ( most modern ones do) then you can’t have the heating system filled with softened water, if you have a combination boiler you simply by-pass the water softener ( they come with some valves you turn to by-pass it) that’s then hardened water filling it up. Once the system is filled with hardened water you turn the water softener back on and the domestic side will now operate with softened water

      @@Nickbaldeagle02 good question Nick, the App potentially wont tell you that (unless it does, not checked) as you can have a high pressure system, ie combi boiler or system boiler with an unvented cylinder, in this scenario you can place the Brain/main unit anywhere that suits your particular installation but if you have a system boiler on a gravity fed system, ie header tanks in the loft and a venteted cylinder then you will need to site the Brain preferably where you get the most head of water, ie the airing cupboard, and run your pipes accordingly, hope that helps.
