This video saved me £170 thank you. I rang aqualisa, sent them a video (via drop box) of my shower. They confirmed it was the cartridge and it was an Aquarian E96. Seems almost identical to yours. Thank you. Brilliant video. Especially going to the stop cocks. Well done.
A lot of the time you do not have to replace the whole valve,Just buy an O-ring replacement kit from E bay which comes with good instructions saved me £90 yesterday fixed the leak.
I've bought the rubber seals too, there are 4 o-ring shaped rubber seals. I'm planning to fit them this week. I'm just not sure where to turn off all the water supplies taht's why I've been hanging on 😂
Hi, I have s similar tap, an aqualiser one like yours but looks a bit newer and a chrome version. So my shower pressure is rubbish, I was wondering if there is a restrictor/filter anywhere inside that I can remove? Or if I can drill any parts to increase the flow?
@@Charlyfarly2 hi, yes and drilled the restricted out In the head. On the explosion drawing ofbthe aqualisa i have found some parts - . Rear outlet assembly 11. Inlet filter x 2 12. Flow regulator Im thinking Maybe if these are modified or removed some flow will be increased.
There are filters on each of the hot and cold pipes, exposed when the mixer is pulled off, these plastic cone shaped filters were filled with scale deposit all removed now which should help.
why did'nt you cut in a gate valve on the cold service to the shower while the tank was empty? would save you having to drain the whole tank again if there was a problem! other than that was informative.

Same problem (seemingly), thanks for doing this video it gave me the confidence to give it a go.
Thank you you're a lifesaver!
Very useful. Thank you. I just need to figure out my shower model now…
I know it was done a while ago, but I didn't need the guidance until now; nice video.

There is nothing to restrict the flow. Have you tried cleaning the shower head?
