Excellent post; solo seat well worth it! Service seemed skimpy to say the least. My preference is to cross the Pacific with a series of short hauls in business; enjoying the lounges and short stop overs along the way... retired and taking the time!
Newark terminal B gives reminds me of being a small child and staring out the window and watching planes take off and land. Now i have my private pilot license and instrument ratting. I am working on my commercial pilots license
I flew from JFK-SIN and back once and never do it again on premium economy. It was so long and exhausting. I only fly the same rout business class which I scheduled to fly in December.
9:55 I love how all Singapore Airlines' planes have bright red paint at the tip of the pods attached beneath each wing. It mimics their female cabin crew with red-painted nails! I am loving this simple yet distinctive signature look!
Wow - one of my family members also has a severe nut allergy and I had never realized until watching your video the precautions that one should take prior to choosing to fly. I really enjoyed your review - you are very clear, articulate and balanced. I've now subscribed to your channel. Thanks for sharing your experience mate.
I took same seat (41C) on SQ 21 and 22 on January 2019. I’m planning to take these flights again on October 2023, which I am picking 35A as I take a chance not having anyone sitting next to me. Should I opt to 41C again as I have to shell out $126 to pick 41C? Thank you.
Great review Dan! Sorry to see that the experience didn’t live up to expectations in a few ways, disappointing for Singapore Airlines for sure both pre and during flight. As has been mentioned by other viewers, food allergies are not uncommon and people who have them should not be made to feel outcast or have to provide their own options for meals due to only being given fruit. Sad state of affairs but congrats on a great review my friend, great stuff and all the best to you and your continued success. Cheers
I got to fly on that special 757 livery transcon from EWR-LAX. This was the day after the snowstorm so Newark was a mess. We were just caught up trying to make it back to Australia 😂.
I'm glad you had an amazing experience in Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal B. The new Terminal A was opened to the public two weeks ago, and Port Authority of NY & NJ which operates the airport is in the study of replacement of the new Terminal B. I used to work at the old Terminal A and it's completely out of date and so glad they closed it for good and for future demolition..
Just happy DJ U managed to fly SQ on their long haul and I do apologise on behalf of SQ for their treatment of you due to your allergies...but hey you were in Singapore. How did I miss this video? Stay happy and safe❤
I am flying this same route in Sep-Oct, BOM-SIN-EWR and back. Will take advantage of the upto 96 hour visa-free stay in Singapore on the return leg. It's helpful to know your experience so I can plan living and surviving the world's longest flight. Thanks for sharing.
Great flight. Btw I hate when I am forced to close the window blinds. If I can I always try to avoid airlines where the cabin crew forces passengers to close window blinds. When I fly I always prefer to watch the Earth and record a flight. It always should be the decision of the person who seats next to the window. If someone wants to sleep then an individual eye mask can be used.
Ground staff, particularly from an airline's non-home airport, are contracted companies which do not undergo the same rigorous training. Your allergy situation was a clear mishandling by the ground staff, in which led to miscommunication to the inflight staff, who were clearly "hesitant" at first due to this misinformation. It would be stronger for your video to point this out, as opposed to lumping everything under the umbrella of just the airline, which skews this review into an unbalanced rant.
To fly for so long you couldnt choose a better airline that Singapore its hospitatly is something that American and European airlines can only dream about . Imagine having to fly for 19 hours on a United Airlines or Transavia flight lol just shoot me now and be done with it .
Years ago after a series of disappointing experiences n Singapore Airlines I put the airline on my list of "airlines to be avoided wherever possible". Now, even with Qantas/Jetstar joining that undistinguished list I saw nothing in this flight to change my mind.
Yeah if you fly a350s economy so cramped no space so limited movement i flew from singapore to Copenhagen service was ok Fas i ask for coffee but she never comeback after an hour she ask me about the coffee i said i am already upset she just turn around no apologies so sad but i am giving them another chance this February 2024
Good flight review video 👏 I recently flew FOUR Emirates flights over the Christmas and New Year period, and was similarly underwhelmed (I was a little angry in fact, especially with cost of flying today) by sluggish and intermittent service on board. These are both premium branded airlines and the flying public must not stand by quietly when service is like this. But even more importantly, I hope you stand up, complain, and are heard, for how they treated you in response to your nut allergy. As a disabled (visually impaired) person, I rely on passenger assistance and good air crew when travelling solo. Any ill-treatment of someone, over a health condition (allergy) or disability, is a big red flag to me and the ally I try to be. Singapore Airlines, that crew, and any involved Liberty gate staff, should all be held to account and hang their heads in shame for this disgusting behaviour. Besides, nut allergies are not uncommon; how on earth can they not be prepared to deal with this correctly??!! Please do share any follow up to this with us your followers.
I didn't like this Airline; I got a Panic/Anxiety Attack inside their Airplane. They literally put people in Sardines position for the Longest Flights, trapped in there like Animals, and Not Humans, but for a 1 hour Flight You Get inside the Airplane with much better Leg Room - So the people that PAY the MOST MONEY, are treated like worthless Animals and their Comfort not taken into Account; but the Cheaper flights Get the Best Airplanes.
The direct Singapore to New York flight only flew to JFK during the time that the A380 didn't fly Singapore-Frankfurt-JFK so that SQ could use their JFK slots, the direct Singapore-New York flight usually flies in and out of EWR.
I Have Not Try Out Singapore Airlines A350 ULR Yet.General I LIke The Product.Premium Economy.Great Work
Thank you for sharing your video clip on your flight to Singapore and changi airport. Thoroughly enjoyed. 🙏🙏🙏
The Building at the start of Top Gun Maverick where his P51was being worked on, is the same one that I got my Private pilots license in. :)
That's awesome
Great and informative video. Thanks 👍
Nice review! I think I will take that flight next December. Nice tattoos too man!

Good review. I am going to be doing SQ flight from SIN to JFK later this year. Looking forward to it
you should do more of these dude these kind of vids are awesome
The extra bin to your left reminds me of the 747 upper deck!
Newark terminal B gives reminds me of being a small child and staring out the window and watching planes take off and land. Now i have my private pilot license and instrument ratting. I am working on my commercial pilots license
I love the new United livery, but I also love blue
Dj's flight review
errr great video, but you didn't have the chance to play the games during yr 18h?! 😂
Another great video by the great Dan!
Is a solo seat worth it if the flight is lightly filled?
I flew from JFK-SIN and back once and never do it again on premium economy. It was so long and exhausting. I only fly the same rout business class which I scheduled to fly in December.
good review..really details
Great video thanks J

Nice flight ✈️ review ❤❤
Agreed on the ULH flights. I'll take a stop over any time vs 19 hour on plane even if business or first.
I flew from SIN to EWR before COVID. I'll be doing it again in June.
2:11 screen sorted according to destinations not departure times 🤔?
Isn’t it easier to find your flight this way?😊
Tip: wipe clean your camera lens to prevent the haze in your photos and videos
Good job on the review!
Great review. I saw some 747’s.
Is that a a350 ulr
Nice video. I just took the same flight last august. Overall great experience. Almost like a recap for me too. Thanks for sharing
Dan all tatted up!!! I wonder if he’s in a motorcycle gang!!!
Try Qantas A350ULR from Australia to US!
Need more flight reviews tbh
United new livery is outstanding I would say.

Great work mate, a surprise flight vlog is always welcome
You presented a very good flight review Dan 👍 Pretty exciting flight!
22:08 is that 9V-SKI ? 22:40 Qantas A380

If you have any allergy is especially nut allergy, you have to inform the airlines at least 48 hours before boarding regarding food selection.
That wing view

Newark Airport To Changi🙏♥✈🌎🌸🌙🗽🌃☕
A350 900 Singapore🙏♥✈🌎🌸🌙🗽🌃🌛
Top Gun Maverick is a SUPERB FILM!! Highly recommended!!
I feel like people with allergies shouldn’t complain about them not wanting you to die during flight
This is by far one of the best flight reviews I've seen, entertaining while informative. Also love the fact you let us hear the engine during take off
Why were you almost denied boarding?
He's nuts 😂
Does United still provide a beating? It was a perk
Very enjoyable report. I am not sure about the big storage box. I would rather be seating next to the window...
Out of JFK, LGA and EWR, EWR is my favorite airport in the NYC metro area.
The lack of views on this video is criminal!
I got to fly on that special 757 livery transcon from EWR-LAX. This was the day after the snowstorm so Newark was a mess. We were just caught up trying to make it back to Australia 😂.
Since you where so concerned about your peanut allergy, they should have left you behind. Just to error on the side of caution.

This was great, Thank you for making this flight report. This flight is definitely on my bucket list!

I experienced a flight from EWR-SFO in a United Boeing 777-200 in the 2019 livery I was legit happy knowing I wanted to fly in it

london to sydney is most longest flight
It has a stopover, not non-stop.
The flight stops in Perth and/or Singapore, the direct flight isn't set to take flight until 2025 with modified A350-1000s.

The nynjpa should be ashamed.
Bro it is February 2023, why are you still wearing a mask?
Long flight is jfk to Singapore. Not Newark.
I thought so as well

@@heidirabenau511 ur wrong. The direct Singapore to JFK still flies now. Look it up. I’m booked on it Nxt month.
@@Disco_r1 Are you booked on SQ23?
@@heidirabenau511 yes. Jfk to Singapore. The longest flight. Not Ewr.
Embarrassing to act like a international terminal.
