SNOW ! Lived in upstate New York for one winter if I never see snow again I will be VERY happy. Mid 60’s here in Florida and I’m happy. Enjoy your videos. 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸
I'm sitting here in Florida in March with a jacket on and complaining about the cold. If I lived where you guys are well . . . . . . . . Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
I don't get snow, but my brother who's further up North still does, he has a roller in front of his tracked farm vehicle. It's just light enough that it doesn't crash the thing, but heavy enough to pack the ice so it doesn't bottom out. As long as he keeps constant speed and doesn't turn sharply, he tells me he hasn't sunken in yet. And he depends on the thing, because during winter, he (also) has to go deal with solar panels. Dust them off of snow and make sure the heaters work properly and all that.
Well... I saw a title saying "trying to update solar system" and I thought "Dang, the Pateys figured out a way to add a planet between Mars and Jupiter.,!" 😇
I’ve seen guys out there with wider tracks on them that seem to work better in deeper softer snow. And, the front of the tracks angle upwards a bit in order to get a better bite and up and over things better.😊
For deeper/unpacked snow the Apache Backcountry LT tracks are a better choice for sure. The major downside is that they are snow-only tracks, so can't run them in the summer or low snow situations.
Mark, if you only use the tracks for over snow travel swap out the four season tracks for the Can-AM Backcountry LT tracks and you would have had no problem in that deep snow..
A 2-inch lift does wonders. I live in Alaska and have Ranger 1000 with a 2 inch lift on tracks. I know the snow is different down there, but I have yet to find something she won't chew through this way.
Things that are designed with tracks work, things that have tracks added on never work or they don’t work for long unless it’s like Mark said , hard pack trails or lakes etc, everyone I have ever seen either get stuck , break or flip a track.
Did you get your new solar panels and batteries installed before winter hit? Just curious how big a system you put in, and how well it worked thru the winter months.
We love videos like this Mark... give us some more... that was a fun ride along !!! Thx 🌵🌵💀💀👍👍🌵🌵
With you, Mark! Not brand loyal. I buy the best that works for me. Great content!
Life on an unlimited TOY budget! Gotta love it 😊

Here in Phoenix, it is 68 degrees. Watching you all working makes me feel COLD! Time for another cup of tea!

This was great. Thanks for taking us along. 🍻
Great video, makes me miss Alaska even more.
Great video
Just call Matt's off-road recovery. He will recover the can-am. 😂
Fantastic work boys. More of this content please. 🇨🇦

Solar Panels + Batteries + StarLink sounds like the ultimate setup of being able to get away, but not be totally out of touch.
What engine is in the Snowcat? Sounds like a V8. I'm in England, so have no experience of these vehicles, but they look awesome!

When was this filmed? You mentioned "stuck all winter until March" but was posted almost in April....
Outstanding....

Was that Mike Semanoff with you trying to get the snow out of his pants? Too Funny.

What I heard on the capability of your tracked SxS, If you use common sense, they're great! LOL Just like most things! Great video!

Ohhhh, YOUR solar system, not THE solar system 🙂 Neither would have surprised me.
Post a follow up in depth technical video on your solar upgrade
Tracks over tires in snow! Get a SXS with tires high centered, it’s a bear to get it back out!!!
Both Patey brothers submitting videos today. Must be terrible weather day not suitable for flying in Spanish Fork. :)
Yay 👍
Up grade the winch to a 8000 lb winch and 100 ft of cable on it
Is there no end to the Patey toys?

Glad to see I'm not the only one. Shtf
There is no food in the cabin? You should store a box of MREs
Well it is March so looks like your prediction came true, except it was your video that was stuck. 🤣
Shoulda borrowed Mike's ripsaw!
Does your "snow machine" make snow?
Where is the ripsaw from Cleetus???
Dave Sparks posted a video where he said he bought it back from Mike.
😁👍🏻
