Obito is the most misunderstood character in Naruto series. Many make fun of Obito for starting a War because of a crush. But people don't realize that Rin was just a part of his plan. His main goal was to reform the ninja world through Project Tsukinome. His play was stupid but he cared for the world and wanted to reform it. If Rin was his only goal then he would have brought her back to life using Rinne Rebirth but Obito wanted to create a better world for everyone. It is good that he reverted to being good and helped in defeating Kaguya. Personally Kakashi-Obito parallel and story is the best in Naruto. Obito is a great character. Nice video, btw!!!
Rin had already died. You can't bring someone who has dies for too long and the only person who had the RINNEGAN AT THE TIME WAS MADARA and the person who mastered the seventh Rinnegan (the bring the dead was Nagato). OBITO CANNOT BRING RIN BACK TO LIFE.

A rival he didn’t like, he sacrificed himself anyway because that is what it means to have the Will of Fire. Yet through the death of Rin, and the misteachings of Madara, the once bright Uchiha fell to darkness. Swayed by Madara, he focused more on easing pain, rather then accepting it. Not really... obito didn't lose hope right until he saw the only positive memory in his childhood stabbed right through the heart, by his rival and closest friend. And also the evil mastermind that is madara uchiha pushed him to the edge, and his personality isn't a mere identical to naruto's, obito carried the burden of being part of a clan that is being rejected, obito didn't have a goal like saving a friend from darkness, he didn't have anything to cling on to. also, he killed many people because he saw it as a sacrifice for the greater good which is putting everyone in a peaceful world with only winners. In reality obito never completely lost it. He always wanted a better world.
right, I’m saying though that initial dream of a better world was corrupted, not just from Madara’s teachings but from losing his friend as well. That kind of loss, and with nobody to help him grieve, can be detrimental to one’s health. This is why I think he lost his way, he began focusing more on the destination rather then the journey, explaining his merciless killing of his own clan, comrades and more.

Stezing yes rins death was one of the reasons he turned evil but not all he even said that when he faked being madara and traveled the world what he saw of the world only helped confirm that reality was cruel like how he saw how reality was unfair to nagato all obito really wanted was peace which would be achieved in the infinite tsukuyomi because he knew how unfair reality could be since he experienced it and saw it happen in others naruto and obito are really similar but one major difference is whenever naruto fell he would have someone there to help him but when obito fell no one was there to help him

I swear obito is the better written version of anakin skywalker. 1) Not only do they both get a permanent injury on the right side of their faces but they both also suffered severe mortal injuries to their bodies resulting in them needing replacement parts for them to properly function again. 2) They both wore a black outfit ever since their descent into evil. They covered their faces and had their voices altered to be much deeper to mask them. I know in vader's case that couldn't be helped but the point still remains. 3) Neither had many friends or family growing up and were quick tempered. Plus both were "in love" with a brown haired girl who was very nice to them. 4) Both held on to their childhood crush for a decade + and only turned to evil for their crushes safety. Then when they failed to protect them both anakin and obito decided to forget their old selves and live on the dark side all the while planning to overthrow sidious and madara eventually. 5) Both get agitated when a younger boy in his teens who is very similar to them when they were young confronts them on their actions. · Both try to corrupt said teens to join the dark side and nearly succeed. ·Both teens remind them of who they once were in the past and to accept that they are still that young man currently. · Both sacrifice themselves to save the teens whom were rendered nearly immobile by the final boss and give a short message to the teens before dying. · Both became spirits and returned to the living world temporarily.
I've had similar thoughts, since I love both characters. I don't know if Obito is exactly better written, but I find his fall more believable than Anakin's.

@@damex3372' curse of uchiha' doesn't mean you can't go into the path of hatred, if you are not an Uchiha. Naruto could well have gotten into the dark path (curse of hatred), the same way Itachi/shisui got into the path will of fire.
To me, Obito is a character who arguably had good intentions but was misguided. In a way, his motivation for project tsukinomi reminds be of Ultear from Fairy Tale, where both characters justify their cruel actions believing that when the "restart" into a perfect world happens, their actions would become a dream of sort and even show remorse when they realize their own foolishness.
Obito is one of the best characters. He’s stupidly strong, he’s determined, and above all he’s compassionate. But that kid was met with the most terrible fate..
My heart absolutely breaks for Obito. That line where he said that even with his Sharyngan he couldn’t see the world in darkness without Rin tears me to pieces. A world with loss is indeed Hell
Nice vid. Obito reminds me of the biblical character: Penitent Thief. They both delved into a dark path but was redeemed ultimately and served their penance with hope rather than despair.
That was deep man. It makes me feel even more sympathy for Obito even when I know he deserves a lot of backlash for what he's done. He is literally what Naruto could have became if he let his despair over come him. I think during his time as Madara he believed that although he was causing just as much pain to others that he was feeling he generally believe that it would be okay. That once they were in the infinite tsukuyomi it will all be worth it. When he finally abandon that idea and gave into Naruto shows talk no Jutsu he truly did feel regret and knew he was beyond Redemption, so the least he could do was help clean up the mess he made any way he could and be ready to accept death when it came to him. When he saw Rin again he must have felt unworthy of seeing the girl he loved right in front of him after he spent most of his life causing pain in her name.
Be careful who you allow to mentor you. Had Obito had kakashi or someone in his corner that was connected to the light, things would of turn out different.
I always thought obito’s motivation was solid. He only has one friend, one love, and one mentor. But when his only love and purpose dies by his one friend while his only mentor wasn’t there, what did he have? He had nothing or nobody. All he had was a new purpose to prevent pain not protect from it.
It's true. Not everyone is born lucky. And then when people say you have to get up and do something about it, it hurts. Because you know that they never had to go through what you had to go through. Some post traumatic stuff n life you can't just forget and move on. Imagine you had your only life and hope to keep on living killed off. Not by just anyone but by your BEST FRIEND. Obito’s life was the product of all the events that shaped his feelings, emotions, experiences, philosophy, behavior, personality and all cognitive faculties of his entire being. Switch Naruto or any characters in his shoes and for sure they will all end up just like him.
There are many problems with Naruto, but for me it is a masterpiece. It's ability to tell a story, to make u feel for the characters, the depth and development for some of the characters are truly something to be admired. Obito and Madara weren't wrong: the ninja world was hell. Considering how nonchalantly their world treated orphans and dead child soldiers, Pain or the Uchiha don't seem like such monsters.

This is a pretty popular misconception but Rin wasn't the sole reason for obito turning to the dark side it was just the eye opener for him. He himself even says that after that he realized that after looking at the shinobi world and what happened with rin that the whole world was hopeless
Honestly it's not just rin. Sure Rins death was a catalyst but it would be easy to bring rin back to life. As shown with Madara all you need to do is reanimate rin and then use rinne rebirth. But even Obito says the war isn't just about himself,Rin, and Kakashi. It's about erasing the entire cause that led to Rins death, Kakashi's dads death etc... The world is hell. This much has been stated to be anyone who wasn't young viewpoint since the very first Arc in Naruto. It's only the newer generations who weren't raised in war who can see the light of the world. And while people like Kakashi can see the light and others as the story moves foreword. Naruto inspired hope in the world to Kakashi. Just like he has done to a lot of people.
Madara is the whole reason why he turned. He exploited Obito's emotional state to sell his ideology as the only solution to all problems, making sure that no one but him would have been there to "pick" Obito up.
Basically. Its a common misconception within the fandom that Obito only fell into darkness because Rin died (to be fair kishimoto didn't do a very good job at communicating to the audience otherwise) But Obito himself said to Kakashi that if he thought the war was soley about Rin, he was wrong. It was actually a combination of things. Being a child Soldier, having half of his body crushed etc. As stated before though, Kishimoto didn't do a good job at communicating this to the audience. I think he could've made obito a more compelling character if he had shown a idealistic and naive kid Obito slowly have his ideals eroded has he experiences the horrors of War. Show us obito watching a bloodbath take place like the opening from Saving Private Ryan , hell give him some more comrades who he watches die in battle. Show us someone who is basically as full with love as Naruto is, slowly slip into the curse of hatred. And then break the camels back with Rins death. Something like that(in my opinion of course) would've flowed more smoothly and naturally with someone who is basically naruto had naruto beem born an Uchiha

Obito is unequivocally my favorite character. Naruto villains and one could argue even the story revolve around pain and how we handle it. I think given the choice a great many of us would choose to life in a dream, where we could have things the way that made us happy. Obito is compelling because he’s believable for anyone who’s felt pain.
Obito became my favorite character the moment he first appeared in the manga during Kakashi's backstory and the 3rd Shinobi war. He is still my favorite "Shinobi/Ninja" character.

I can personally relate to this, when my girl broke up with me i was in a world of darkness. I didn't tell my parents about her because i was scared. So i couldn't go to them for help. I didn't want my friends to worry either. So i kept it to my self.
My little brother was my hope. I was thinking about the times he could be a grown up. Once he died I've gave up on the world. I neglected everything and none of my friends were there to help. I could relate to this so much sadly

This really makes me despise Madara for what he did to get Obito on his side. If Madara really wanted Obito on his side, he shouldve let things play out instead of manipulating them. Or find someone else who was deeply traumatized after the war. Thats why Sasuke was such a perfect target for Orochimaru, Orochimaru didn't need to do much to get Sasuke on his side because he was already traumatized.

Stezing yes rins death was one of the reasons he turned evil but not all he even said that when he faked being madara and traveled the world what he saw of the world only helped confirm that reality was cruel like how he saw how reality was unfair to nagato all obito really wanted was peace which would be achieved in the infinite tsukuyomi because he knew how unfair reality could be since he experienced it and saw it happen in others naruto and obito are really similar but one major difference is whenever naruto fell he would have someone there to help him but when obito fell no one was there to help him

I swear obito is the better written version of anakin skywalker.
1) Not only do they both get a permanent injury on the right side of their faces but they both also suffered severe mortal injuries to their bodies resulting in them needing replacement parts for them to properly function again.
2) They both wore a black outfit ever since their descent into evil. They covered their faces and had their voices altered to be much deeper to mask them.
I know in vader's case that couldn't be helped but the point still remains.
3) Neither had many friends or family growing up and were quick tempered. Plus both were "in love" with a brown haired girl who was very nice to them.
4) Both held on to their childhood crush for a decade + and only turned to evil for their crushes safety. Then when they failed to protect them both anakin and obito decided to forget their old selves and live on the dark side all the while planning to overthrow sidious and madara eventually.
5) Both get agitated when a younger boy in his teens who is very similar to them when they were young confronts them on their actions.
· Both try to corrupt said teens to join the dark side and nearly succeed.
·Both teens remind them of who they once were in the past and to accept that they are still that young man currently.
· Both sacrifice themselves to save the teens whom were rendered nearly immobile by the final boss and give a short message to the teens before dying.
· Both became spirits and returned to the living world temporarily.

I've had similar thoughts, since I love both characters. I don't know if Obito is exactly better written, but I find his fall more believable than Anakin's.

madara is iruka for obito...its funny how their related and yet madara for no reason to hate the boy used him and change his reality on purpose and had him get rid of the uchiha who he despised had him carry out his will and then want to backstab him when iruka who had all the reason to hate and backstab naruto doesnt and chooses to stand up for him and put his life on the line for the kid who killed his parents and isn't related to him...sure iruka sorta molds naruto into the hero he wants him to be but not really...

@@damex3372' curse of uchiha' doesn't mean you can't go into the path of hatred, if you are not an Uchiha. Naruto could well have gotten into the dark path (curse of hatred), the same way Itachi/shisui got into the path will of fire.
To me, Obito is a character who arguably had good intentions but was misguided. In a way, his motivation for project tsukinomi reminds be of Ultear from Fairy Tale, where both characters justify their cruel actions believing that when the "restart" into a perfect world happens, their actions would become a dream of sort and even show remorse when they realize their own foolishness.

Obito reminds me of the biblical character: Penitent Thief. They both delved into a dark path but was redeemed ultimately and served their penance with hope rather than despair.
That was deep man. It makes me feel even more sympathy for Obito even when I know he deserves a lot of backlash for what he's done.
He is literally what Naruto could have became if he let his despair over come him. I think during his time as Madara he believed that although he was causing just as much pain to others that he was feeling he generally believe that it would be okay. That once they were in the infinite tsukuyomi it will all be worth it. When he finally abandon that idea and gave into Naruto shows talk no Jutsu he truly did feel regret and knew he was beyond Redemption, so the least he could do was help clean up the mess he made any way he could and be ready to accept death when it came to him. When he saw Rin again he must have felt unworthy of seeing the girl he loved right in front of him after he spent most of his life causing pain in her name.
He was a pure soul.
Be careful who you allow to mentor you. Had Obito had kakashi or someone in his corner that was connected to the light, things would of turn out different.
I always thought obito’s motivation was solid. He only has one friend, one love, and one mentor. But when his only love and purpose dies by his one friend while his only mentor wasn’t there, what did he have? He had nothing or nobody. All he had was a new purpose to prevent pain not protect from it.
Even though he fell in that darkness he returned to the light

Obito’s life was the product of all the events that shaped his feelings, emotions, experiences, philosophy, behavior, personality and all cognitive faculties of his entire being. Switch Naruto or any characters in his shoes and for sure they will all end up just like him.

This is a pretty popular misconception but Rin wasn't the sole reason for obito turning to the dark side it was just the eye opener for him. He himself even says that after that he realized that after looking at the shinobi world and what happened with rin that the whole world was hopeless

Honestly it's not just rin. Sure Rins death was a catalyst but it would be easy to bring rin back to life. As shown with Madara all you need to do is reanimate rin and then use rinne rebirth.
But even Obito says the war isn't just about himself,Rin, and Kakashi. It's about erasing the entire cause that led to Rins death, Kakashi's dads death etc...
The world is hell. This much has been stated to be anyone who wasn't young viewpoint since the very first Arc in Naruto. It's only the newer generations who weren't raised in war who can see the light of the world. And while people like Kakashi can see the light and others as the story moves foreword.

Madara is the whole reason why he turned. He exploited Obito's emotional state to sell his ideology as the only solution to all problems, making sure that no one but him would have been there to "pick" Obito up.
Basically. Its a common
misconception within the fandom that Obito only fell into darkness because Rin died (to be fair kishimoto didn't do a very good job at communicating to the audience otherwise) But Obito himself said to Kakashi that if he thought the war was soley about Rin, he was wrong. It was actually a combination of things. Being a child Soldier, having half of his body crushed etc. As stated before though, Kishimoto didn't do a good job at communicating this to the audience. I think he could've made obito a more compelling character if he had shown a idealistic and naive kid Obito slowly have his ideals eroded has he experiences the horrors of War. Show us obito watching a bloodbath take place like the opening from Saving Private Ryan , hell give him some more comrades who he watches die in battle. Show us someone who is basically as full with love as Naruto is, slowly slip into the curse of hatred. And then break the camels back with Rins death.
Something like that(in my opinion of course) would've flowed more smoothly and naturally with someone who is basically naruto had naruto beem born an Uchiha

Obito is compelling because he’s believable for anyone who’s felt pain.
Obito became my favorite character the moment he first appeared in the manga during Kakashi's backstory and the 3rd Shinobi war. He is still my favorite "Shinobi/Ninja" character.
