MADARA OG ☆
from the moment I saw Madara (the real one, not Obito masquerading as Madara), I just felt a deep sense of heavy sadness. The tragedy of his character carries a lot of palpable weight. Here is a man who is "great" by all measures, even from childhood. He has talent and skill. He has immeasurable love for family. He is smart. He has a dream to make a better world. He has integrity and honor. And yet at every single moment in history, he is crushed. He gets back up and is crushed again. He tries so hard and keeps getting the short end of the stick. And we witness this unrelenting beat down chip away at him over an immeasurable amount of time. Chronologically, we are introduced to him first when he meets Hashirama as children. Hashirama is shown to be just always slightly better than him in all their competitions but he harbors no dark jealousy or sense of inferiority. He enjoys their rivalry (all the way to the end of his reanimated then resurrected life). In fact I don't think he was ever truly happier than when he was fighting with his friend, his best and only friend. He has lost FOUR brothers in battle and yet does not blindly hate the other side. I don't think he actually demonstrates hatred of any kind despite the war time tragedies (similar and even lesser tragedies have spawned hatred in so many other Naruto characters). He even witnesses his best friend's younger brother kill his last remaining brother and I have to give it to Madara for never ONCE talking about or acting out any kind of vengeance. He does finally state one time after Edo Tensei when Tobirama is impaled that he had thought about doing that for a while but his expression is not hatred or anger. Just sadness. When Uchiha vs Senju ends in his defeat, he finally tries again to build the dream village with Hashirama but the dream is always going to be more hollow for him since his main goal was to make a place where his brother could be safe. And that brother is already dead. yet he still tries to build the dream. He is never fully accepted in this village though and even loses the trust of his own clan over time. Hokage is dangled in front of him but given to Hashirama. Yet he doesn't express jealousy or anger to Hashirama. Just, again, this continued and mounting frustration and sadness. He leaves and comes back but is defeated again and ultimately left alone in an underground cave, withering away and forgotten. And despite all this, when he is revived, he still demonstrates a great deal of integrity in his battles. He acknowledges his opponents powers (not just Hashirama but Tsunade, Guy, Naruto, etc). He still doesn't display anger, hatred, sadistic behaviour. He still ultimately wants to create a peaceful future, delusional as his means may be at this point. And he still seems to only be happy when he is fighting Hashirama or someone who reminds him of Hashirama (like Guy's fight). The only thing in his life that he looked forward to, that wasn't taken away from him, that wasn't soured or destroyed. That ongoing rivalry with his best friend. I never saw Madara as evil. Just a figure tragically ground down by the gears of a fate that never let him win.

the ninjas in Boruto aren't sent off on super dangerous missions as 8 year olds anymore like in itachi's days. ninjas now also stay in the academy and get a more regular schooling for a faar longer than before as well.
the world in Naruto is peaceful now they just need to maintain the peace thats why ninja's have been less like soldiers and mercenaries and more like a police force.
there were a few occasions in Boruto where alot of the older generation who only knew war can't find work at all anywhere in any country because they have no skillset other than murder.

Brave New World. Yeah that's the solution.

but he did Admit that Hashirama had the better plan of the two and his methods were cruel and ruined Obito's life. Thats pretty damn evil to me
Try sticking to an intellectual argument, God Almighty is not even mentioned in Naruto, this is an examplar about the relationship of mankind with love and hate. Black Zetsu was the will of Kaguya the Shinobi God, and funnily enough mankind betrayed their goddess and sealed her away
in due fact oneness is the only cure, division of the tail beasts caused competition and control over smaller nations, I respect this show awfully true, Kaguya deservedly wanted back her chakra. in conclusion God Almighty can put us in a genjutsu of living a life but in fact your chakra is deservedly his chakra, yin yang
Most villains have good intentions. But their methods are wrong. It is sad that Madara was portrayed as a cold blooded villain, in the end he only want to create a world in which nobody has to die and suffer anymore.
I really love the different layers most of the Naruto Shippuden villains has in general. Madara, Pain, Orochimaru, those * villains * didn't become the bad guys because of the heck of it, each one of them had a motivation of what THEY THINK it was the right way.
That is something I really miss in Boruto, I'm ALMOST giving up on that show. And this comes from a die hard Natuto fan.
Don't expect naruto in boruto, these two are different.
Think of Bruoto as a joke that just has too much action and not enough story, let alone lessons; that's what Naruto is for.
hidden moss The reason why Boruto is so goofy is because Naruto achieved his dream world peace there is no more war in the ninja world everyone who fought in war has become complacent why train for battle when theres peace remember Naruto and the others grew up during war and distrust that why there was so much action Boruto is about what’s happening after all the war the kids get to be kids Naruto and the others didn’t get that chance to just be kids
There are certain aspects of Boruto I can appreciate (like InoShikaCho relationship, Team7/Team7OG dynamics, subtle distinguishments of new gen from OGs, etc.) but I feel like we as an audience often get flung into plot that's too-much-too-soon, or left dawdling in low stakes nonsense. I'm holding out, but... I'm... disappointed...
@@NoBrakezQ Right, I prefer the novel.
As kids we remember naruto was just fun and games. As we get older naruto evolved into a very deep meaningful and dark anime..
When you put it that way, it does seem like that, despite some of the flaws it was criticized for. Now that I think about it, I now pray that the Kara arc will give Boruto the same dark theme it needs.
It can be both lol 😂😂😂
And then everything went south with kaguya and every villain in boruto. I think the mangaka had a stroke and did his best to hide it
The animators did a good job of making all the Uchiha look related like family without looking exactly the same
Madara has the same dream as Hashirama.
It's just that Madara has stronger love than Hashirama, and Madaras's love lost as when his brother died in front of him.
Hate is not the opposite of Love. Hate is an absence, it's like Darkness, or Silence.
Without Love Madara was drown in the Void of Emptiness, no Love, no Voice, no Light, all in his mind is all about his Hate.
The only thing for Madara to escape that Void is to accept someone's Love specifically Hashirama's Love as a friend and as his brother.
The difference between Madara & Hashirama and Sasuke & Naruto is that, Madara was drowned in the Void of Emptiness & Loneliness, and Hashirama tries to save his friend but failed.
Sasuke on the otherhand wanted to be drowned in that Void, and Naruto is not gonna stand and sit as his friend tries to drown himself.
Imagine you have a depressed alcoholic bestfriend who keeps getting some trouble, always searching for fight, but you are always there for him whenever he gets in trouble, that's the example of Hashirama and Madara.
Imagine you have a depressed suicidal bestfriend who keeps trying to kill himself, and you are always there to save him, and talk to him, that's the example of Naruto and Sasuke.
The best thing about what Sasuke did after his battle against Naruto, is that Sasuke accepted Naruto's Love, because Sasuke understood Naruto's suffering, and Naruto's feelings towards his closest friend.
I know it sounds gay, but I find it a Masterpiece.
Sorry for bad English, not my first Language.
Bruh bad English? You explained it perfectly. Thank you for that .
Well said young bull❗️🤧💯
you've actually put it really well, despite English not being your first language. also, I'd like to add that the opposite of love is indifference. both love and hate are, in my opinion, strong emotions, and can't be opposites because of that, even if they're different. they still have a sort of connection, as it's been proven to those who know about the Curse of Hatred.
plus, it doesn't sound gay at all. many guys have at least one best friend, their true bro.
That's brotherhood not gay why do people nowadays even think man and woman love is the only love. There are many relations in life bonds we form with even dogs and other animals. We hv already witnessed that men are great friends. Sexualizing(only reproduction) every relation is wrong and should be questioned not the bond itself
That's deep bruh and I like it.

If only Madara realized that, he could've seen how he brought the world together and achieved his dream.
But Madara actually probably did realize that, and knew that if he was ever brought down, the world would lose their common enemy and just go right back to fighting each other (kind of like what happened to the Soviet Union and USA after WWII.) Madara Uchiha is truly a life changer to me. Call it cringe but like Madara, it doesn't matter...
The villians of Naruto resonate with me so much because they are just broken people with good intentions. Their ideals are shaped by life-altering experiences and the tumultuous environments that they come from. At the end of the day, all these people wanted peace.
Madara wanted a world of peace, but lacked trust and felt he was the only person to bring that peace.
Pain felt that every village felt the pain of war, that peace would be the end result.
Obito wanted prevent the world from experiencing the pain he felt when he lost Rin and felt the Tsukuyomi would not only bring Rin back, but establish a world of peace.

MADARA is not a villian, He's a Broken Hero.
He is a villain
@Márcio Monteiro madara is an anti villain
@@sarveshnathan7559 remember, you're judging a character who has only known war. You're a 21st century human. World views would be completely different.
@@sarveshnathan7559 Yes we judge him because killing 8 million Jews didn't have a goal to it. There was no purpose in it, completely irrational.
But do we judge Genghis Khan for killing a larger proportion of people that Hitler? Do we judge Darth Vader? Do we Judge Alexander The Great? What about Tony Stark?
@@sarveshnathan7559 Like what makes someone a villain. Bad and good are subjective terms, a person who is evil in ones eyes is a hero in another's. For example we have a doctor who performs human experiments developing a drug for cancer which will Ultimately save millions. Now say there is X whos mother is abducted to be experimented on. To X the doctor is a bad guy, but to a kid whos sick-with-cancer mother gets cured by the drug the doctor made, he is a hero. Id love to hear your thoughts
Basically the core theme of the whole Naruto story is "isolation vs company". Madara grows into isolation, social detachment and finally solipsism, meaning he would force the world into an image of his inner objects, to avoid himself getting emotionally hurt. While Naruto's whole path is the struggle to find a place in human society, meaning in the real world outside of his head, despite his emotions being hurt endless of times.
He brought everyone together by making them all despise him... Well, hurt people do hurt people

@MADARA UCHIHA THE TRUE SAVIOR don't be a tundre😂😂
Bro i think about that scene all the time. So legendary. Madara was so excited to see Hashirama
"A world for only Winners, only Love, and only peace"
That is why madara is such a loser. He cannot face reality. Life is about struggles and growth. We learn from our failures. But madara's peace denied all that. His plan will bring to mankinds extinction.
"Only humans can talk about peace while spilling bold" true words from madara

What do you mean?
In the end, Madara’s plan for peace was more realistic than Hashirama’s. In reality, true peace is impossible. Maybe on a small scale it can work, but not globally. The closest we could get would be a combination of the 2. Compassion to create a temporary peace, and then power to protect and enforce it. You cannot have peace with only one. It must be both
Yup. We see Hashirama’s plan in action...by every destructive conflict in Boruto.
Easier. Not more realistic.
Damani Jones nobody said it wud be easy
There can be true peace by consent, true peace by force, or a mixture, even globally, it is possible, however unlikely...But instead of working and brooding towards peace, we could first redefine conflict and how we choose to express and manifest it, for it is virtually a given. I think after this, we can truly redefine peace, each on our own terms and without needless suffering.
@@seandafny its realistic tf you talking about

He wasn't right about everything
"Even with perfect eyes couldn't see anyone else fulfill it"- damn what a quote
Naruto's and Hashirama's plan worked well: still wars, still villains, still pain, still loss. There can never be true peace in their reality only by altering reality itself like Madara's plan can achieve this.

Madara was always my favorite character. No matter how strong, he got nothing that he wanted in life even though he was stronger than everyone else :( I love how there is always a character in Naruto that you can relate to
In the end Pain's philosophy came true. They found peace through pain
Madara is my favorite character, we know so much but yet he still seems mysterious
Madara was literally too strong for the story he took part in so it had to be changed 😂
Kaguya was just added as a lame excuse to kill madara
Sad Pepe I agree, they spent so much time building Madara up just to make him fodder for Kaguya.
@@poisoned_ginsing7764 No guys. Kaguya was not a waste. Here is why -
Madara, though flawed, wanted peace amongst humans. Kaguya was an embodiment of said peace. If Madara was a soft dictator, who ultimately wanted everyone to live their perfect lives within their respective dreams - Kaguya was a hard dictator whose backstory successfully showed the life of a person who kept peace through shreer strength. One that Sasuke wanted too.
It makes metaphorical sense to keep someone above Madara to show us, just how bad his ideology can turn out to be.
Then, he too comes in the middle of the spectrum of good and evil.
We can see real authoritarianism and selfishness through Kaguya.
Gaurav Chanda Very well said, I never saw that way. So basically, Kaguya was Madara's beliefs inversed, her ambitions derived from her want for power and to control peace, rather than create eternal peace. Madara was killed by Kaguya to we could see the more darker and narcissistic spectrum of Madara's idealogy.
It's also important to remember that Madara wasn't meant to be the final villain. He was meant to appear under the Edo Tensei then be defeated with Obito being the finale. However, Kishimoto and the audience loved Madara so much that he stuck around for so long that it became impossible to kill him without something like Kaguya, who was hinted at but likely was never meant to be the final villain.
Remember when he said i am gonna do it now, when he was actually gonna flex his muscles he got killed by black zetsu, cos even zetsu knew he will be to powerful to stop if not now.
Growing up in a war torn world, Madara’s goal was naturally to bring an end to conflict in the world just like Hashirama. He and Hashirama were essentially two sides of the same coin. Madara’s means of attaining that peace through manipulation and sheer force was wrong, but his motives were genuine.
You can’t change the world without getting your hands dirty.
Just like Hiruzen and Danzo, you have the light and the shadow
Dreaming is real in its own way when you think deeply about it, all actions everything we feel everything we do is controlled by chemicals And chemicals are a real thing it’s what control is to preform in reality just what happens in a dream is real chemicals, besides as long as everyone are happy I don’t see anything wrong with stoping the violent monkey from killing each other, all humans Just cant change the way thay think, stuff like natural instinct, and religion won’t let it happen, It’s just best to cut the cord,
I'm tired of people calling other means wrong who share the same goal. They just solve the problem differently than you.

@@thelastsnake6653 i mean, the only part i thought was a bit weak was the beggining before naruto and killer bee arrived, after that all of the fights were awesome.
This analysis just made me realise how greatly Naruto depicts real-world people.
Most of the leaders we know that committed unspeakable acts did not hold bad intentions. They all had as a long-term goal, one that would make the world greater, better.
Naruto just shows in another way how people generally are not bad, just altered by their own morals due to their experience. Very interesting indeed.
That is seriously not true however. Most leader who committed unspeakable acts did so for greed, corruption, evil, or because they were deranged. The moments in history when unspeakable acts were committed for good reasons must be very few, if any exist at all. Madara is no exception to this, by the way. He was a broken man from a broken age of the world. He held the greatest illusion of all and he was too lost in his own misery to see the truth. He was motivated by fear and nothing else.
Nah dude. Name any world leader that did an unspeakable act and I bet you their intentions weren't at all good. This ain't an anime, not everyone wants peace in this world. But in naurto that was literally what every major villain wanted
When you lose people you care about, life being a dream is something that people can understand. I can understand it as well. Loss leaves a hole in one's heart that can never be replaced. 😭
Madara is by far the greatest villain of all anime by a huge margin, and i'm convinced that if he was a hollywood villain with this same depiction he would be considered as the most prestigious villain in its history! His ominous appearance, his charismatic character, his noble yet twisted aspirations, and his supreme abilities as a shinobi. Kishimoto created the perfect villain yet did him injustic by giving him a silly ending that does not correspond to his caliber, he easily could have concluded the story with Madara, it would have made the ending way more suspenseful and unforgettable.
probably all the same reasons people attached so hard to Darth Vader honestly

I think what I respect most about Madara is that he never compromised his vision. Zabuza, Pain, Obito...all the big villains got Talk-no-Jutsu'd by Naruto into going against their philosophy in some way and do a 180 before they die.
But not Madara. Even in all his loneliness, ironically being used and dying as a result of being betrayed by someone he thought his subordinate, he still refused to acknowledge Hashirama's/Naruto's way as being correct. He was grateful to have his oldest (and only) friend with him at his end, but at the same time still stubbornly refused to acknowledge he was wrong in his assessment of the world and his solution for it. His final conversation with Hashirama, besides his grateful nostalgia to be with his friend and rival, effectively sums up his entire worldview with: "Yeah, nah. I'm still right. I just wasn't strong enough to see my vision carried through. I'm out though, peace."
The real interesting thing is that Madara ultimately was correct if Boruto is anything to go by. Conflict and war are inevitable and even Naruto and the peace he created is not an exception to this law of human nature.
Madara's ideology came to fruition until the reveal of Black Zetsu's plan.
Worst part of naruto in my opinion
I absolutely hate the whole otsutsuki thing. Madara was legendary and so hyped up from way back and suddenly this weird woman shows up to steal his spotlight. And to make it worse they say that black puddle of shit made madara do all of it like madara was his puppet
clickclack Why hate it tho? Otsustuki Kaguya is the bearer of chakra, the founder was the first generation of people. Madara is just a piece really, a black zetsu's reason of birth was to bring back Kaguya to take what hers originally the chakra.
These people (madara etc) has their own philosophy and own way of gaining peace, power. Because these people are humans.
@@KazumiKun because it was boring and stupid
@@rheem5794 that's stupid cause there should always be an origin in a story. You can't just magically have chakra. If it's stupid and boring for you then watch MHA and Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Nobody talks about this, but Itachi and Madara both have similar concepts for peace. It's their methods that make them different, where one is a dream, and the other is reality
how do they have similar concepts for peace? itachi only wanted to protect the village no matter what darkness there is in it, whereas madara knew that peace will not be attained by protecting the village or uniting people because conflict will forever exist.
It's crazy just how much I can relate to this character in more ways then one.....
The fact that the person called Madara inspires people so much it can be really considered the authors genjutsu.
By being put into understanding someone from their own perspective you can really change things up and make stuff happen.
