Couple things: -you call it the MiniMo, it’s the MicroMo. -you pack it wrong, you can actually fit the gas canister into the cup if you put the tripod under the burner(upside down) the filter rod, then the canister (right side up) and finally the pot support. The actual filter goes inside the plastic measuring cup. -you use the French press upside down. I usually put the rods in a little bag to stop them from rattling around
Definitely a thing just bought mine I put the lid on and it literally just pops off I am told a lid for the zip can be bought separately and that fits better, I won’t be doing that though. The minimo is the same. This review is seven years old it was probably made from a better material back then.
@@ashab1 I just ordered one as I found a great deal, but won't get it for a couple of days, so I hope I'm not too disappointe. I did also see a Minimo on display in a local camping shop, and the lid on that was actually OK - so maybe it's hit and miss, and varies from item to item.
@@ashab1 That was my thought when I viewed the Minimo in a store - way too big to drink straight from the cup. They didn't have a Micromo to view, so I've taken a risk by ordering it online.
Nice real world review. 2 Things you may want to recognize....Its a "Micromo". I'm sure you know but, you referred to the stove as minimo a few times. Also, The coffee press proper set up is with the press filter wings down. It contains the grounds while pressing. Just FYI. Lol. I do agree the pot can be tricky to remove when really hot. I think the key is to hold the plastic part of the burner and fuel can slightly as you twist. 👊🏼
The video title says MicroMo, but in the video you mention that you are reviewing the MiniMo (which makes sense, I think MircroMo is even lighter). Just fyi if you want to correct the title of the video.
You said it takes about 2 mins. But if that WAS 300ml as you mentioned it took 50 seconds to a rolling boil, prob 40 secs for bubbles!!! Coffee burns if you use a Rolling boil
Thank you for the detailed review, I just bought the Micromo and found your review helpful, thanks for taking the trouble to do this 👍🏻

Great review thanks
I keep seeing reviews where people complain about the lid coming loose - is this a thing, or is it just people being finicky?
