The PS2 version probably did look as good as you remember, but it only looks that good on a CRT TV. When you translate that to non-CRT TVs, it starts to look messed up.
Worst to Best! Switch: Cloud-only! 'Nuff said! PS3: Could've been better! Bugs and crashes that don't appear in the original PS2 versions. Rushed cashgrab ports at best. PS2: Pretty nostalgic and more functional. PS4/Xbox One: Best console versions and especially when played on their 4K enhanced consoles or Next-Gen consoles via backwards compatibility. Xbox Series X/S BC versions gets a slight edge due to Auto HDR. Only criticisms towards Xbox versions are digital-only and price tags. PC: The best version of all time! Mod support to get cutscenes to 60 FPS, fix aging aspects of the games, restore Japanese voices, Reshade to improve graphics and other QOL improvements for the Definitive Kingdom Hearts Experience. Only criticisms are price tag and Epic Game Store exclusives.
