I just scored a huge Samsung tv that my neighbors put on the curb after a bad storm we had. Ended up being 2 capacitors, which I just happened to have that I bought for a guitar amp and ended up not needing. 10 minute fix and now I'm no longer using a little 22" Dell monitor and have a freaking SWEET massive tv 😀
@@lakemarine484 Learn to fucking read, smartass. I had to buy a strip of capacitors, because that's how they sell them. I blew a capacitor in my guitar amp and decided to replace them all. The ones I needed for the tv were the same value as the ones I had leftover. Blow me, doucheclown. Take your bullshit down the road back to whatever rock you crawled out of.
@@lakemarine484 I have about 4 I ride around on trash day all over New Orleans and I also sometimes ask them if they want to buy their tv back for a cheap price.
@@Bigtee70131 I got my chipper/shredder that way! A $25 carb off of amazon and its a beast. Yea I hated to let that TV go. I bought the caps and that didnt work and then another part i cant remember and I had to give up. I did stand it up against the dumpster so someone else could try though. They installed cameras at the dumpsters in my county now and if they get your license plate they send you a ticket for picking or if you dont throw something all the way in. I still do it though I hate throwing things away especially if someone else can fix or use it.
samsung pn59d6500df xza This is the model I have. My plasma was turning off and on in a cycle. Got it fixed for 250$, I didn't know about channels like this. Brought it home and five days later it made a popping sound and permanently turned off. took it back to the guy and he fixed it for $60 more. Pretty sure it was an easy fix but I didn't know better. Can't tell people enough how good these TVs are, I think the picture is just as good if not better than an OLED. I've been watching movies nonstop ever since, 3d as well. These TVs last about 28 years with 10 hours a day of viewing. Its no wonder why they stopped making them, no one would buy TVs every 3 years. Thanks for the tips!!
I tried this fix and it didn't work for me. Bought a new power source from the same place, installed it, and still no luck. Not sure what else to try. I'm still getting the same repetitive clicking when I turn on the TV and the red light blinks twice.
I have the same situation. I replaced the power board (bought from used TV with cracked screen) and still the same clicking and no turning on. Maybe it's the other power board on my plasma (there are two)? But the clicking sound is going from the same place as in my old power board. Weird. Maybe the seller was not honest and sold me damaged board? Both of this boards looks good. I have enough of samsung.
I have the same issue but all of my capacitors look fine on my power board and my mainboard looks ok and my t con board looks ok for the most part but I think something might be messed up on it. everything I see online says it should be a capacitor on my power board but all my readings on my power board are ok. is it possible it's my t con board?
Great video, but my Samsung PN50C490B3DZA Plasma HDTV still doesn't have a picture after replacing the mother board like you did in your video. Any advice on what my problem is now? Which board should I try to change next? I got this TV from a neighbor that was throwing it away just like you got the one you have. Please help me out anyone out there! I'd really appreciate it!
Hi, Ive been dooing what you did. Still the clicking sound and the red light blinking. Shame it didnt work, still i had fun gooing in the tv eheh. However is there an other option to why the tv is doing that ?
I have a Samsung LED TV: I had a premature start premature failure of my TV, t when disconnection completely for 1 hour, the image was turned on and everything worked perfectly. so I made a reflow of the main board (nothing, no change),...Even if normaly if you do a reflow on t Con it's because you have only issue pciture. But I made a reflow of the con con (since then, nothing lights) ... ref con con: DEL T370HW04 V2 37T06-C00
Power supply troubleshooting 101 disconnect the load from the board As in other videos similar to this unplug each cable one by one leaving only one unplugged at a time starting with the large board on the upper right, replug and disconnect the large board on the left. The set should bootup. replace which ever board caused the problem. If none of these boards then replace the power board. I wouldn't never fork out 90 bucks for that power board either way. What a ripoff.
My Samsung TV made a clicking sound and wouldn't turn on. I purchased a power supply board for 30 euro, replaced it, et voila, the TV is working again!
The amount of televisions I see dumped is amazing. I'm going to start taking them and fix them if the fault is likely to be this simple.
Good for you!

LMAO
Can you refer me to your china supplier. Plz
I have the same issue. I replaced the power supply and still not turning on. Light blinks twice pauses than blinks periodically
did you end up replacing the main board?
My brand new QLED TV is working just fine but I do hear that “clicking” every time I restart it. Is it normal though? Was considering returning it. 😬
Yeah
Whilst I was watching this, it just turned on
What do you think caused the board to go bad lightning strike or what
Probably just age. My TV started doing this. It's 15 years old, and it's on all day every day.
that is now a great main TV you have.
Thanks so much:)
My red light flashes 7 times and I have replaced the main board and still does it. Thoughts as to what may be the problem?
Did you fix the Samsung TV?
@@IntelligentElephanttry the power board
I have a 72 inch Samsung
(2 years old TV) who looks like have exactly same issue.
Can you please sent that Chinese link info so I can order the part

I did this, and NOW it clicks, but still does NOT turn on. HELP!!
$90 for shipping?! was that fast express or so?
He meant the actual order was 90$
Just happened to me, idk about getting stuff from China as far as electronics might be Mal ware or Trojan pre-installed...
What do i do if the cT3 cable going into the board is burnt.
So what happens if these steps don't work. I ordered the new board and still nothing.
I dont think the tv is worth fixing..
You are correct. If the tv is None 4k you can get a 4k tv today 53" or more for 5 times the repair cost.
yeah then wait for it to burn the house down because you forgot to check one of the other caps trans or many other things along the way good
Samsung TV red light comes on clicking sound no picture. Suspect could be relay ...
Where can I get the board and fix my tv
90$ :D?? You can almost get a new TV on sale for that amount
Not a 59" plasma lmao they're thousands of dollars new.
my 65 inch samsung died, making the clicking noise. I hope to learn how to fix it.
Where from China did you get the board?
My TV has this problem but there’s no screws and it’s very hard to take off
Next time - show the steps being completed when doing a how to. Not helpful.
Id rather buy a new TV then do any of this
😮
My red light goes off after the click.
Baitclick. I don't want to buy a new board. So many of these vids where they end up buying a new supply..
ya someone bring this to me from dumpster
. heh .
I found a pre-opened/returned box of condoms in the clearance section of Walmart
I really hope 'sodering' has a different meaning in the States lol.
It’s spelled soldering
Spelled soldering the yanks say sodering
That’s not easyyyy
This is why you smash something when you toss it, so this doesnt happen
That's rude just because don't have knowledge to fix it ur going to demolish it
@@mikeayres4962 the satisfaction of knowing no one can fix it warms my heart.
Had the same problem years ago, fixed it but now its doing it again.
so Samsung no better than hisense & why my hisense search brought me to Samsung TV repair, I have no clue.
