This was by far the most helpful video using No Nonsense silicone remover... Thanks!! :)
@Jane Kim Thankyou very much.
Best I have seen so far, cheers mate👍
@MrEmogoldfinger , Thankyou very much for your kind comment.
Really informative and easy to follow.
@Christine Ludlam . Thankyou very much.
Very good simple video.
Thankyou very much.
Thank you 👍
Thankyou for watching.
Great vid. Thanks. It’s the same technique I’ve developed over many years BUT I’d add something. BLEACH thoroughly at the bottom of the grout and in the bath/tile gap. Even if it needs overnight to dry. Otherwise all that black mould we saw under and behind the silicone will start again immediately.
Thankyou very much. Good idea, in the past i have used bleach and a toothbrush to clean the grout lol.
What's the chances of this helping remove really thick silicone between tiles and shower tray? My head is done in trying to remove a small area. Got the outer layer removed but it's the stuff deep in that I can't remove, just keep coming out in tiny bits and need a bit of help I think. I don't want to silicone over the top of it just as it still has some black on it. Any ideas if this product would help?
@RabidGerry . With this product you need to remove the thickest first. Try and cut out the thickest with a stanley knife.
would like to seek advice:
I filled the gaps between my uneven ceiling and pvc cable trunking with silicone.
I used too much silicone and the excess silicone spilled over to my plastered walls and ceiling.
Now the silicone dried up on my plastered wall. How can I remove the excess (dried up) silicone without damaging the plastered wall?
@Adeline C . Try scraping with a scraper to get thickest of then try some wd40 or methylated spiret to get the residue of, let the wd40 soak for 5 to 10 mins , if you have painted the wall it will damage the paint but not the plaster. You might just be able to scrape it. Let me know how you get on.
@@Inexteriors painting has not started. ok, I will try and let you know. Thank you for the advice :)
How good is the sealant remover against methylated spirits.
I am not to sure to be honest. This did work well.
I thought the idea of this product was to avoid all that took time? I imagine you could have done the job just as easily with all the tools you used.
It does help to be honest.
No Joy with No Nonsense silicone remover. How about Multisolve ?
@Serrendipity , I am not sure never tried it, What a shame you had no joy. Did you get as much silicone of before you used the sealant remover, Let me know how the Multisolve goes.
@@Inexteriors Scratch Multisolve... another useless bit of kit. Feels like it leaves a residue and has no effect on the Dowsil 785 silicone sealant.
@@serrendiptiy Thanks for Letting me know about the Multisolve, hope you get it sorted.
I've just used No Nonsense Sealant Remover and it worked extremely well.
@@marioamorim9019 Great stuff, good to hear.
