You just listened to ALONE, which is an oldy for them. I finally got the CD with SCREAMING on it. The album is called START OVER. Its an EP with just two songs. I listened to SCREAMING six times on the way home at FULL BLAST in my car. 1000 watts. Its on the Club Shibuya concert show. WOW!!! SO GOOD.
I believe this is the first song they ever wrote as a band. (Miku wrote the lyrics for a few others, from this album, but this is the first one that credits Band-Maid with the music, as well.) Heck of a start, ladies!

Still one of Kanami's best solos 5 years later. It sounds exactly like what freedom feels like. And that's the power of music. You're a big Akane fan right? There's an Akane-focused video of this song when they performed it at Comic Con in 2016 which (like 1,000 other great Band-Maid videos) has since been deleted. I can't even find it on bilibili. If you search youtube for "band maid alone akane" you'll find another reactor watching it. But he doesn't speak during the video so you can just enjoy it. I highly recommend it for you. Not for a reaction, just for your own enjoyment.

Im not the biggest fan of reaction channels, and generally prefer technical breakdowns, but you sir, are always the one I'd have the most fun with at a concert or even the local sports bar haha
Sometimes it's just fun to relive the experience when one of your friends just got the latest ________ album and you and a couple buddies head over and all listen to it together. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy learning from the expert breakdowns, but I don't always need to learn about minor 7th's and major whatevers to enjoy seeing how someone else responds to a piece of music.

As I have listening to Kanami's compositions from this one onwards I am convinced she is a musical savant. It would explain so much - her increasingly complex compositions and arrangements, the difference between her on stage prescence and her off stage air head persona as mentioned by her band mates. Her extreme work rate and how she is working constantly on stage, riff after riff as if she has to get all the notes in her head into the song. Make no mistake she is highly intelligent and very tech aware as her PRS and Morley videos show. A remarkable and hugely talented young woman.
She had been writing songs from the beginning of the band, but the record company and their management rejected all of her previous songs. Alone is the first song from the band that was allowed to be recorded. After this one they were pretty much in control of what they recorded.
One of my fav guitar solos... This one is always a highlight in any performance, with or without crowd... This is THE song that turn the page, after this, almost everything is composed/written by Band-Maid. But this doesn't mean you shouldn't keep checking earlier stuff... keep digging, these ladies are a complete takaramono. You should check the official MVs for "Non Fiction Days" or even "Before Yesterday", this one is always a bit forgotten but it's so good with footage of Band-Maid walking around in Seattle. Both these songs are from the album "Brand New Maid" from where "Alone" is taken from as well. But to be honest, I'd love for you to react to "Daydreaming" (and I think I suggested it at least 5 times in this channel...and will continue to do so) ... there are two heart-piercing solos from Kanami that I love, one is from "Matchless Gum" that you did already and the other is from "Daydreaming"... you won't be disappointed (this sounds almost silly to be said... you won't be disappointed by any song you choose from Band-Maid by now...) So, like many times before: "Daydreaming" or whatever you come up with from Band-Maid it's just fine! 👍
Well if your marrying Akane then I’ll have to marry Miku … Lol. If you want to check out how these ladies act on a small stage (which would be the case when they play in the U.S.) then check out the videos for Miku’s Magic Spell Time. She basically talks to the crowd for like 5 mins … teaching them Japanese words and making them laugh. It’s so fun to watch.

Thanks for your continuing love of Band Maid. Their earlier material is still outstanding in my view and testimony to their success world wide. I hope that the Covid restrictions will ease hastily and will mean that next year or even later this year, Band Maid and other bands from Japan, can start touring again. A really important milestone in the band's history. Their first completely self-written song, which the label gave it's OK to include it on the album at the time. On the following album they already wrote all the songs themselves. The song title fits well, doesn't it? :) But now pay attention to the location of the video. Especially in the last seconds it's obvious that it's a studio without employees. And if you look closely at the very beginning, you can see Saiki pushing her microphone stand away with all force, as if she wanted to free herself from the rigid guidelines. Maybe I'm interpreting too much into something like that (wouldn't be the first time), but I love the ladies just because of such details. I don't think I have to say much about the song itself, do I? It contains ALL the elements I love Band-Maid for. Years ago when I was listening to Slayer, Morbid Angel, Sepultura, and others( I still listen to them btw), I never imagined I would be listening to a song called Flappy Wings and liking it. That, my friends, is the magic of Miku and Band-Maid. Who else is experiencing this?
There is a big difference, between this song and the current ones, it is for surgery on her vocal cords of Saiki for nodules, her voice sounds more muffled, even Misa still uses the 4-string Fender, Akane without the double bass drum, Miku with the Rickenbacker not the Zemaitis and Kanami does not use PRS if not AddicTone, greetings.
I"m native Japanese. I still don't understand what Saiki sings about. I'm not interested it at all. I'm just interested how Misa, Miku, Akane, specially Kanami play.
