I'm 71 years young & born and raised in Detroit...I had a 65 Riviera...let me say this, if I was rich I would give anything you asked for that car I just seen on your video I'm "flabbergasted" at all the craftsmanship you guys put into that car unbelievable you should be proud !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sir! If you really like these first gen Rivieras, check my personal channel I have a 64 that gets that same reaction when people see it. (Not trying to promote my shitty videos, but I know how rare these cars are and even fewer are those who know and appreciate them.)
One of the best restomods I've ever seen. As a Buick guy I have to say its great to see the 65 Riviera get its due. A classic American Grand Touring car paid tribute to in a beautiful, well thought out build. I'm now a subscriber. Great work!
What a work of art, guys! I'm a Riviera fanatic. The 1965 is the high point for this storied marque. Usually I'm a stickler for authenticity, but I have to give you well-deserved props for your beautiful work. You've managed to enhance the classic design with modern features. Your Riviera isn't just another resto-mod. This car shows great respect for the original and one must appreciate the thought and design sense that went into the build. The level of craftsmanship also looks second-to-none. Thanks for sharing!
I love 99.9% of it. Wish you would have kept it as a 65 in the rear with the tail lights in the bumper. To me, along with the stacked hidden head lights, that 1965 update is what made 65 the favorite of that generation..IMHO. Nevertheless, it's still spectacular.
The shifters and the seats... just nail the GS spec of the car. Cruiser, but fun and spirited. Gorgeous colors throughout! The choice of wood was keen. What a work of Art and Spirit that functions!
Absolutely a piece of ART!! Best year ever for the rivys! You all did a magnificent job! I’m talking Chip Foose stuff! That’s one sexy Rivy!! Good stuff!
Back in the late 70’s, before I moved from Southern California where I was raised, my brother and I restored 356 Porsches. Our first restoration win 2nd place at the Newport Fashion Island Concours Show. This is such a gorgeous and tastefully done car. Without question, one of the most beautiful car designs to ever come out of Detroit. I was born in Flint Michigan. My father worked at Bendix Brake works and my mother worked at Fisher Body. She did the embroidery for Cadillacs. The changes you made were perfect@ especially the clam door light covers. PERFECT! Can’t wait to see your next re-creation!
That car is incredible, you guys are Sincerely artists, every little detail was thought through, love the way you did the new clam shells, I know everything is subjective, I prefer the original full chrome bumper on that car, but the car as a whole is a piece of art , congratulations👍🙌
Amazing work!!! The 65 Riviera is one of my favorite Buick's. You guys knocked it out of the park!!! Congrats on an amazing build, that is definitely something to be proud of.
The '65 Buick Riviera was one of the best looking cars to come out of Detroit. I usually like to see them restored to stock, but I have to give you guys credit, Fantastic Job.
W T.... Are you kidding me???????????? I smiled and cheered every second watching this!!!! REALLY DID MY HEART A WORLD OF WONDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! THOROUGHY AMAZING! Bt the sheer smile on your face and the enthusiasm in your voice, anyone can see that you're VERY proud of your project! Just blew me away. INCREDIBLE. AMAZING. STUPENDOUS. Absolute sheer joy!!!
I had a friend in high school back in the 60s. He had a badass RIV. It looked factory. A 425 plus a 4 speed. Never saw anything like it. And it had dual quads
One of my all-time favorite cars. Friend of mine had one of these beauties back in the day. Was gorgeous then, and remains so to this day. Thanks for posting!
That by far is the most stunning Buick I've ever seen you guys are Masters at everything you have done to this car. It should win tons of trophies it started out as one of the sexiest cars and you guys just took it over the top.. I vote hell yes
Doing that to a 65 Riviera Gran Sport of which very few are left is like doing that to a Duesenberg. Could have at least started out with a base Riviera.

I'm so in love with this Riviera as well! It's a money no object build that I would love to own.
I certainly hope you get your chance to at least drive another one, my neighbor has a 71 , that rear end is so sweet

@@tomquinn607 the best one I’ve ever seen was the vanquish Riviera from Sema
The amount of work y’all put into to keeping the original look but upgrading everything at the same time is amazing.
Really? Amazing? They were paid to do what they did. In what way is that amazing? Please explain.
@@stephencurry8552 is amazing because it’s not that money but the skill set. Many people are paid to do things at time that they cannot fulfill
Go back to flipping burgers, NOT Steph Curry. Nobody cares.

Cadillac really dropped the ball passing on this one!...
Probably the first time I have made this comment: The trunk interior on this car is the sweetest I have ever seen.
I’ve always thought the 65 Riviera is one of the most beautiful cars ever designed … now kicked up to notches unknown!
I'm a Mopar diehard but this Buick is sleek and very cool, worth while project that is extremely well done.
Knocked it out of the park. Very nice job DSE crew. I love all the details especially when you keep that original style.
Wow, Wow, Wow! Absolutely an amazing build guy's!!!!!

Literally scrolled through the comments to find this one. I didn’t wanna be the one to say it first.
Man this guy has passion, you can tell. And he knows this car inside and out. Really enjoyed his presentation
Amazing skill and workmanship has gone into this car, all that time and effort has produced a beautiful vehicle.
When the lights are open, the covers look like a British Knight's helmet. The kind they have on a bridge on the Thames river.
Beyond beautiful! Nice that Jason gives credit to each craftsman in this tour. Heaps of talent on display here.
That's one of the best resto mod build I have ever seen.
An extremely sweet ride. And extensive but efficient work done to keep it as original as possible. Very good work guys.
American craftsmanship at it's finest!
The guy who did these bumpers... man! Give him a medal or something. The guy is not a metal worker, he's a jeweller!
This is a brand new Riviera with modern features.
Beyond Expectations.
Kudos.
Thank you!
The work by DSE is legendary. Subtle, not overdone, but on close inspection, all of the trick modernization is discovered. What is not to LOVE?
Beautiful work, love the hood ornament too!
Awesome ride, great job.

Spectacular build! 😍
Hands down, one of the most beautiful cars I’ve ever seen! What a nice job guy. Congrats!
