Agreed, the diffusers are massive and the thin sheet metal looks cheap. Pretty much all diffusers on Supercars are moulded and have a bit more chumminess to the fins. It detracts from all the hard work that went into blending that rear bumper in.
I love classic older cars get restored or turned into hot rods but it sucks knowing they will never be practical daily drivers. They will be garage queens that get taken out a handful of times a year to show off or cruise. Whether they have their stock engine or put in some V8 to be "fast", the body is weighed down (positive or negative, might do better in a crash) --- many of them won't get more than 10 miles per gallon. With gas prices skyrocketing, you'll take it out less and less. They look great but it's really hard to justify buying even a cheaper built one knowing it's just going to sit in a garage and rarely be used. Better off with a truck as a second vehicle so I could haul stuff when needed than a classic. The only good with the gasoline increase in prices is people are selling and unloading their classics and trucks right now (and probably for less) but do you want to get a gas guzzler at this point though.
Whose making the front windshield for it ? I would have sunk the bottom of the windshield frame into the cowl, then the factory glass can still be used.
Count trashed that Riv with that monstrosity of a paint job. A good paint job should accent a car, not be the focal point. It was just "way too much" That Ryan is an AMAZING painter but the Count just goes way overboard and makes the cars look cheesy despite being legit beautiful cars.
The more i watch these old episodes, the more i notice how much screwing around they do, they have like a 10 man team and only 2 maybe 3 are ever working at once. annnd Russel fucking does nothing!
Typical show crew does the work and mr clean richard waltzes around like hes doing the work.NEVER SEEN HIM WITH A WRENCH IN HIS HAND OR DO ANY WORK. OH YEAH HE DOES COMB HIS HAIR AND DRINK BEER SURE MAKES YOU SWEAT.
No disrespect towards the monkeys " but they are using Richard's money to build that car, and I know that I expect to get whatever I want the way I want it whenever I am using my own money for a build.
they always incorparate this tight deadline-shit for more tension but for me it is only annyoing. It adds nothing to the whole thing but stupid statements. Every SEMA the same shit??? You would thing if you have this one year you start earlier next year....come on guys
Yall do amazing work and I'm pretty sure that nobody will ever have a boat tail Buick as badass as that one is
Incredible metal work and imagination for the build. Can’t wait to see it complete. 😎
Definitely an insane start to an incredible build. This one could be his best work to date. I'm excited to see the progress.
No idea why I've never seen this build. This and the 67' were 2 of my favorite cars of all time.
The Boattail riviera is one of my favourite cars ever. Now I know what it looks like with a massive diffuser.
that diffuser looks rediclious overdone imo.
That's a badass ride and he took the style of boat tail Buick to a completely different level 👌
Wow, what a machine!!!
I was excited to see the outcome of this build for Sema...
1:05 what they hell does he say? I’ve never heard him be supportive and not care about the schedule before ahha
Now that what you call! Hot rodding
I like everything except the huge diffusers.

Oh really bad ass ride the monkeys know what they're doing
It looks good that way no lowering it , it looks great now . lowering it more gives it the low low lowrider to many of them leave it up .
Have another beer Richard. F'n drunk
Cool project, did they ever finish it though?
nope...it's currently sitting in their merch store at GMG HQ in the showroom in the same condition shown at the end of this episode
@@fastfoodpitstops oh sad to hear that , i would love to see this project finish
For $175,000 Richard will sell it to you as is or for a an extra fee, he will have it upholstered and painted.
Badass get you some of that
Finish it!!!
Awesome looking car does Richard still have the car
Wish they’d show completed project.
In great detail too. This car could be one for the ages, unbelievable.
You two got more skills then the best oh shit y’all might be:) wish I had my first car worked on with the skill set you guys have
If I ever win the Lottery, I am going hunting for this car and buying it ! ❤.
Awesome
Bad Ass !
Did they ever finish it or did it become an art piece in the shop?
Why are there no later videos of it painted anywhere on RUclips?
Nautilus ❤
Should have left it looking stock.
Now I like budnik wheels but for the buick riviera they really should of went with the US Mags Wildcat wheels
Wires
High performance cars........shows an image of a Corsa vxr 🤣🤣👍
Big heavy boat shorten it lighten it narrow it then you'll have cool .
Hmmmm. Richard Rawlings. Steve Jobs. Work environment philosophy similarities? 😁
I wished they would have finished that car
So they never did??
They never finished this car 😢
Where is part 2 ?

It was still not finished last year its sitting in the merch store
Whose making the front windshield for it ?

That diffuser is overkill a bit too much. Did this car ever get finished?
What's the timeline to complete this?
Did this ever get done???
Cool ❤️
Where's this now?
Wow I don't see how somebody comes so famous for overworking people in underpaid and some I don't even have to put a spark plug in a car
I want that car
The rear defuser is just to big out of proportion
I understand the wow factor, but as a Buick guy I can’t help but cringe at the loss of the Buick 455.
Hope this car gets done an the pinto he bought a month ago to
All about The money Richard..,... no Fast and loud left in you...Haaaa.rock star crash and burn
No actually he didnt
Black cherry
Is it gonna be better then kounts kustom Riviera???

Don't make it harder than it eazz
Be nice if they ever finish it they fired all the org mechanics that started it
The more i watch these old episodes, the more i notice how much screwing around they do, they have like a 10 man team and only 2 maybe 3 are ever working at once. annnd Russel fucking does nothing!
They don't only have one project going at a time.
Love🇮🇳❤
That rear end looks horrible, in my personal opinion.
Yeah I probably could blow that car out of water that's why it ain't finished
They never finished it 👎
Fuckin losers
Only went to sema and won best in show because it wasn't finished. Suuuure
Don't make simple ito buullst
What happened to this build? RR has "bad taste in his mouth" about it.
Defusers on a 72 Riv 🤮

This is old
You're f-ing up classic cars .They should be restored to original look ,not some 13 year old boy's vision
they always incorparate this tight deadline-shit for more tension but for me it is only annyoing. It adds nothing to the whole thing but stupid statements.
Every SEMA the same shit??? You would thing if you have this one year you start earlier next year....come on guys
ruined an old riviera
What art program did they use to render the car drawing?
Does Richard still have it?
