- Rizzo, walks you through the steps needed to field strip, clean and lube the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite. The Ruger Mark IV series of pistols has set the bar pretty high in terms of reliability, ease of use, take down and reassembly. It has a rail to mount your accessories like red dots, it's chambered in 22lr and has a grip angle similar to a 1911.

mine does not have a button,, but on the back side of the grip there is some kind of contraption that folds out and it's metal
@adamhearts9195, I haven't seen that. I'm going to have to look into that one. Do you know what model number you have?
I would suggest you remove the thread protector, and clean the threads and protector. With my 22's. I always find the threads need cleaning.
