My neighbor called a plumber, and cost him hundreds of dollars. When my restroom faucet plugged like his, I check youtube for people like you and fix the problem for nothing. I am now a subscriber, thanks.
@@codyrebelcb??? read the framing of their comment. it’s pretty obvious he looked up the information AFTER the neighbor already payed for the plumbing, maybe you should stop acting so saint like.
Thank you! My faucet water was extremely low to the point it was just about dripping when turned on for 8 months. A plumber is too expensive for me. Finally, I thought to search for solutions on internet. This video was the first I seen which less than two weeks ago. Today, I went to Home Depot seen a variety of aerators in the plumbing section. I asked for help from a rep who referred me to another rep that pointed out a universal aerator for $4.97. I purchased it. Got home, located my wrench, removed old aerator, and replaced it with new one. The job took less than 30 SECONDS. Now, my water flows out great! THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR WISDOM!!! It has resolved an 8 month issue and only cost me less than $6 with tax! :-)
Thanks soo much. Quick fix and I used CLR to clean my current aerator. Worked like a charm. I appreciate how there was no fluff in your content too. Hate the big intros people usually do.
That was my problem.thank you! I feel stupid now that I let this problem go unresolved for months and embarrassing to say maybe even a few years knowing I was too lazy to try to remove this and get a new one . And thank you RUclips for providing a platform like this . This has been my 5th or 6th home repair that I've relied on youtube videos to fix. I've fixed my dryer heating element..my freezer defroster .. I've repaired my window screens and installed new ones using RUclips instructionals and now this!!! Saved so much money!!
I was having this issue for about a week. Watched this video yesterday and said to myself, "there's no way the fix could be that simple". Went out and bought a new aerator and to my surprise, it actually worked! Thank you so much for the video. Appreciate it greatly! 😀👍
had been struggling with this for months before...turns out had a bunch of calcium deposit just clogging it...rinsed it out & brushed it to make sure it was clean & works good as new! didnt even have to buy a new one..Thank you first video on the recommended when i search and deservedly so!
Thanks buddy you saved me from paying lots of money. immediately I fixed my bathroom faucet after watching your video. Two years ago a friend of mine called a plumber and paid 600 canadian dollar. Thank you so much for your help.
@kibreem... I respect plumbers and their expertise; but when they overcharge for a service, that is a blemish on a great profession. I got overcharged by HVAC... :(
i too was pretty skeptical. i was like “no way its gonna be that easy”. i’ve literally been dealing with a slow sink for months and been dreading the call to my maintenance office. little did i know a simple youtube search would help my problems. thank so much!
Eric, good show, brother. One tip: Before you install the new aerator run both the HOT and COLD a few seconds to push any debris out of the faucet or it with immediately get into your brand new aerator. Cheers.
edpdx50 Nice tip. I think I actually did that (just because I know I would've been curious to see how the faucet worked without the aerator but I don't think it made it on the video. I added an annotation crediting you with the tip.Thanks.
Everything from calcium to debris from your water heater can clog up an aerator. As a general rule, cleaning doesn’t work. You can soak in vinegar, etc. I would just replace it with a new aerator.
Thank you so much. I live in an apartment complex. Sink has been like this for 2 months waiting on maintenance. You solved my problem by showing me this. Thank you
My faucet was running really slow and I saw a video that was much longer that had a more complex issue that had me losing hope... then I sought out a shorter video with hopes I'd find a more "favorable" problem with an easier solution. I find this video and the rest is history... history = my problem was fixed by watching this video and spending $5 at Home Depot. Thanks
I can't believe it was that easy! I was sure my landlord had pulled some kind of lever under the sink the last time he was here... Decided to give this a go since it couldn't hurt, and sure enough... now I can finally wash my hands properly in the bathroom after months of annoyance :P I didn't even buy a new piece, just scrubbed down the one that was already in there. Ran the hot water before replacing it, and lots of brown water came out before it turned clear. 01:20 Mine was not idiot proof as it had no colors on it, and the beam that sprouted out of my sink when I first put it up-side-down was quite...interesting :') Best part was when I told my husband: "Look, I fixed the sink!" and then had the water sprouting everywhere xD I knew what I had done though, so I quickly turned it and I think he still loves me :P
Omg THANK YOU BUNCHES 😄 I am so thankful for you sharing! I watched this and immediately went to my bathroom and fixed the problem... my water pressure in my faucet was driving me nuts for months! All is well now, thanks to you! YAYYYY😁😄😁😄👏🙌🙏
Just fixed our bathroom sink...my son thinks I am a fixing genius. The contractors who installed the faucet put it on backwards....so righty tightly and lefty loosey were also backwards. I thought it was permanently welded on but nope just backwards. Many thanks.
Thanx, didnt know what was wrong with my sink anymore. But i just fixed it, didnt replace the cap, I instead dumped it in a bup full of vinegar, left it there about 2 hours and put it back on. Worked like a charm. THANX
Thank you so much what an easy fix! I have been dealing with this low water pressure for months and after watching your video it took me less than 2 minutes to solve the problem! I didn't even purchase a new aerator I just used the old one and popped out the other parts so all that all that was left was the screen.
Thank you soooooo much. I was able to fix the water pressure of my bathroom sink ALL BY MYSELF! You saved me time and money. So thanks for sharing your expertise
THANK YOU!! You just saved me several hundred dollars! If a plumber had come over and been able to fix the problem I'm about a minute, would he have pretended to be working for longer in order to make it seem like a more complicated problem and justify charging hundreds of dollars?
wow i just fixed the water pressure on my bathroom faucet. pretty quick! mime just had like tiny stones stuck inside of it, just cleaned it and pressure is back to normal. thanks!
Had my water heater replaced 10 days ago and then only bathroom cold faucet began to run slow, then the hot. Next both just dribbled. After viewing video I tried it. Lots of sediment so I put a bowl in the sink when I cleaned the hole the aerator came from and ran the water. Used a vinegar bath for about 5 minutes and picked out any sediment with a safety pin. Original aerator popped back in and I now have free flowing water. Thank you so much
I just had an expensive pressure line repaired in the backyard for 460 no hot water for 3 weeks. Shortly after I discovered there was no pressure in the faucet in the bathroom I called the plumber back he didn't answer found your viedo an it's fixed thank you
thank you so much i google my question and this came up. thought this wouldn't be the thing and this worked for both my kitchen and bathroom sink. i had to just clean the aerators on both and now they work fine!!! thank you soooo much.
Great advice. I’d just changed out a cartridge for a leaking faucet; now low water pressure! Removed cap & cleaned it. Will replace it ASAP with a new screen/filter.
i called bullshit on this because my water didnt look like that coming out but it was kind of slow. figured id take the 5$ chance and wouldnt ya know.... fixed it in 30 seconds. great water pressure now. thank you!
If you have a cache sink and don't have a Aerator Key, a quarter will work! Mine worked like a charm, cleaned it out and water pressure is back to normal.
I just took off the diverter and cleaned it out. There were some small hard black pebble like things in there. The whole diverter came apart in pieces, easy to clean. Works!
Thank you for this. For me there was something like black ashes in the aerator and inside the faucet so I juust had to clean them them both and put it back in and WALA !! It's even better than before
Great video. Did this in 5 minutes flat. Did increase pressure dramatically, however cold water pressure is really low, so must be in the actual lines going up.
Thanks, While replacing Stem due to slow drip that I didn't want to wait to turn into a steady drain, I dislodge debris when turning off the valves, or removing the stems). My faucet is brand new and the aerator is perfectly clean, however it only produces a pitiful stream of water. I have 70 PSI city pressure. I think they now measure the flow in spoons full instead of GPM because of the crappy restrictors.

What about for showers ? With low pressure . I like filters on my shower too so I'm wondering if there's someway to get better pressure along with still having a filter ? Very nice video by the way thanks for sharing
Journeyman plumber in Florida. You need to remove the hot side line from angle stop under sink. Put a braided steel line (for ease in testing) on the stop and turn stop back on. Use a cup or bucket to catch water and to see if you get good pressure from the stop. If so you have faucet issue. If not stop needs to be replaced.
My bathroom faucet does that and I knew that was the problem. But I couldn't find ANY that would fit it, maybe because the faucet is too old. I'm just going to have to replace the faucet itself.

Pro tip. Wrap your Plier jaws with a little electrical tape and you won’t mar the chrome on the faucet.
Another way is using the handles of the pliers to take of the aerorator. The rubber handles grip surprisingly well.
wish I read this about 3 mins ago 🤣
Alexander Supertramp yeah because a small piece of tape is sooo expensive

God bless youtube for simple fixes to potentially expensive problems!

You are amazing! Fixed my faucet in seconds!!
Absolutely awesome video! Watched it once and was able to solve my bathroom faucet water just trickling out. Thanks!
Thank you for this video. You probably save me a couple of hundred dollars. I would have never guessed
Thank you so much!! I had a different issue where the water was spewing out somewhat sideways and this fixed it. I just unscrewed it and rescrewed it!
Very useful.
Did the same as mentioned....got expected result. thanks
I thought no way mine is going to be that easy but it was! Thanks!!
I tried your method and it worked thank you so much!!

You saved me so much trouble. Thank you,,sir!!
Thank you.. I will go buy the part!
Holy shit, I have the same sink, I'm going to get this done now!, thank you!
Thank you for this video! It just saved me from having to call my landlord! It was such an easy fix.
Thanks!!!! My faucet is fixed!!
Thanks nice information two taps are being repaired
Wow. I didnt know i was this easy.
Yep fixed it... thank you
Thanks a bunch! That was so much easier and cheaper than I thought it would be.
This past fall/winter I was having this exact issue twice, the first it would be the water pressure, but it wasn’t. When it happened again the second time, it turned out to be the aerator. That was causing my sink to sputter water because the aerator had air in it.
Thank you so much, you have saved me from 3 years of misery
Thank you so much. I been lookup everything on how to get better water pressure. Do you have anything for shower head and tub faucet?
Green is for bathroom (1.5gph) and red is for kitchen/laundry (2.2gph). It definitely appears your old aerator needed replacement, but using the red one is like using a chainsaw to hedge bushes...it works, but most classify it as overkill.
Thank you from the UK!

Thanks for this video ugh. Mine was clogged with little mineral deposits or sandy rocky looking things. Used a needle to get them out of the tiny holes and put it back together and it worked. Only thing is i was confused how to layer it back together but i got it lol mine didnt look like yours tho its plastic with 3 parts. Easiest thing ever when i thought it had to turn off water and take faucet off lol!
at 1:00 try vinegar or LCR. if it's a mineral build up soaking in acid will fix it.
Awesome video. My sink works now
Video helped me so much!
What about for showers ? With low pressure . I like filters on my shower too so I'm wondering if there's someway to get better pressure along with still having a filter ? Very nice video by the way thanks for sharing
This fixed my faucet, thank you! 👍
Thanks for the knowledge - saved me a call out from a plumber !
Thank you so much!! I was about ready to call a plumber, you just saved my some cash.
Thank you! Solved my problems!
Works like a charm!
Saved me from calling a plumber!!!! Thanks!!
What if only the cold water side works? All my other sinks/shower the hot water works but not at the kitchen sink! Valve is open too
Journeyman plumber in Florida.
You need to remove the hot side line from angle stop under sink. Put a braided steel line (for ease in testing) on the stop and turn stop back on. Use a cup or bucket to catch water and to see if you get good pressure from the stop. If so you have faucet issue. If not stop needs to be replaced.
Thank you soooo much! I hope it works for me to! Just ordered the part! Have a good one!
Did it work?
Thanks for the tip, it worked like a charm 😀
My bathroom faucet does that and I knew that was the problem. But I couldn't find ANY that would fit it, maybe because the faucet is too old. I'm just going to have to replace the faucet itself.
Thank you!!!! Very helpful Now I can wash my dishes a lot faster
Worked great for me thanks!
