Ashley Burns: died in a stunt after she landed chest down after the basket toss. Patty Smith: is now permanently paralyzed after getting hit in the chest in a stunt -My point is cheerleading is just as dangerous, if not even more dangerous than gymnastics.

i dont get why ppl fight over what other teams do and dont ..you can tell this is thier passion and this team doesnt judge what ppl do wrong i like a alot of teams and my passion is cheer and when my team goes out on that mat we cheer for us because its are passion not because we want to get judged about falling at the end of a stunt or falling durning a tumbling pass
@LoraineMillie Maddie is actually a bit taller than her bases. it doesnt matter how tall tbh, but they usually go for the shorter ones but it's how strong you are and if you can hold your own weight and do the stunts.

Look at the end about 2:29 secs or so... the flyer in the middle gets dropped bc her secondary base just drops her to go happy dancing. Main base looks over at the girl figures.... "hmmm oh well... our routiene was amazing... lets go happy dance" lol but over all WOW! i wish i were that good... ohmigosh seriously! who cares about the end. For all people out there who dont think cheerleading is a sport... please look at this video!
in the beginning of the pyramid when it says "we stand alone" and they are in the hitch pyramid and they dip and go down then it looks like tehy j up into a show n go.. how does that work do they let go over her to get her in the grips for a shwo n go?

@JxKx4x7- competitive cheerleading is a sport and btw....I've done karate, mma, rugby, football, golf, and gymnastics. Besides gymnastics...cheerleading is a sport. Try holding and tossing someones weight up into the air for baskets, 2 partner stunts, and pyramid, and still having energy to flip ur own body in tumbling and in jumps, and STILL have energy for dance. You go for a straight 2:30 without a break at all! Karate u can take a breather, cheerleading u always are moving for 2:30. And we
@CEAchick i like your comment but gymnastics is extremely hard, the majority of them are very flexible. for example trying to balance yourself on 4 inch of wood and tumbling on and off that's much harder then balancing in a pyramid because theres people that will try to catch if u fall but if u fall from a beam you can end up paralyzed. and gymnastics has more difficulty than cheer, doing double backs and doing triple fulls im a lv5 all star cheerleader too but gymnastics is mre life threatning
