My heart broke when I saw Maddie drop her stunt. I can't imagine how awful she must have felt... Because she is so capable of hitting it. The way she remained calm and composed through the rest of the routine? Proves Maddie is a world class cheerleader.
I watched this video when I was probably 11 years old, had no clue what All Star even was, but I fell in freaking love man. It's the reason I started cheer. cheer extreme and senior elite will always give me the chillllsss
@@matthewshunney5919 Lmao, she was a big cheerlebrity at the time. Like, every time she did something cool in practice, it'd spread around the cheerworld like "did you see Maddie Gardner's new stunt??". Was wild
its 2017 now. there's never been a more heartbreaking moment in cheer history than Maddie's fall and probably never will be. still a legend, forever & always 💙👑
its still amazing because they managed to get it back up and partly save the stunt which was a miracle. Especially with everything that flyer had been through, it was still such a perfect routine, her injury and she is still there fighting and fought everything to stay in the air, and saved the stunt. It might not have won them worlds but too me they are still winners by heart.
Never realized how good their tumbling was this year. They had tons of doubles and even a few specialty passes. Senior Elite def needs more of that in today's routines.
Every time I watch this my heart breaks for half a second, and then that recover gives me hope for the future and resorts my faith in humanity. Gardner 💕💖
same!! The moment when maddie saves her stunt shows how much drive and fight she had, she was out for an injury so really, she couldnt have done it any better. They went through a lot of things that year as a team with a lot of the members I think to me this is a winning moment and in a struggle as maddie falling, you can see the team coming together to pull everything back in place. Too me thats a winner.
I still think it is an amazing routine and I don't think anyone could have done any better in that moment considering everything that the team had been through.
I actually thought that part was amazing because it was a miracle that the stunt still managed to be saved, I heard about it before worlds so when I saw the fall it was sad but also a miracle and amazing at the same time because the fight to stay up was there a 100 percent and that is what makes that moment worth watching.
Yeeeesssss!!! Who knew I'd have to go back 8 years to find my kind of cheerleading! Not every basket toss is a damn switch kick and motions being clean and tight meant something.... thank you!
I think this fall was actually a very pivotal moment in cheer history that actually evolved the sport because it got so many people talking. The news report about maddy and the ball up 360 was a big thing for cheer too but this feud between if F5 deserved to win or not opened up such a dialogue online that it reached people who weren’t in the cheer scene. The more people got talking about all star cheer, the more the scene grew. People were picking sides between senior elite and F5 but that got people more invested in the sport and would make them come back next year to see if their favorite team would win. I remember not even being in all stars or watching worlds, reading what happened on twitter, and being introduced to the all star world, and ultimately leading me to join an all star team. The sport can’t grow without new comers, and events like this can really reach people and pull them into the scene
a lot of people say they don't like cheer extreme as much as they're competitors but they are personally my favorite, I personally like they're routines choreography the most and they're song choices and stunt choices. Like top gun and california athelics have heavy tumbling and are almost beastly atheles. I think they have solid coed teams, I got to see them at our national competitions once, but its the personality and style and cheorography i love most about cheer extreme. They always seem light and effortless with passionate routines. I just love how you can have all these great teams and each one feels so unique, each one has it's own strengths. It would be boring to have three teams that are exactly alike let alone hundreds lols. I always like they're stunt ideas the most as well, I think some stunt combinations look weird, and I am not as fond of stunt combinations that are super uniform or in a line I guess, I like creative more expressive but light stunting styles. I think even though cal and top gun are like bullets, some stunt combinations seem weird.
an example of a weird stunt combination too me is lady bullets worlds from 2013. I think they have the weirdest stunt combination and everyone is so straight in a line. I just like more of the stretches and tick tocks more, like the team I was on always seemed to come up with really cool stunt combinations in comparison to other teams, but they weren't always as consistent for cleanness in other areas, but had the skills the girls had to go really far. The year I first started, the ending season had the craziest stunt combination where they did full extension heel stretch to heel stretch switched right into bow n arrow and one girl the bases missed her foot and she landed right on her leg with her foot twisted sideways, I am so surprised her leg didnt just snap when she fell, but it was a super cool and scary stunt at the same time. Even in our senior 2, for a senior 2 it had a really complex stunt routine that most of the girls who were on more skilled levels thought our routine was the hardest mainly because of the stunts, the flyer would go extension roll into the stunt, the bases picked her up at a hand stand, express up, tick tock, heel stretch, heel stretch, bow n arrow then while hitting bow n arrow went down to sponge while still in bow n arrow and then up into half to a squirp scatter arrow bask, craddle, then feet into sponge and extension. Then the pyrimad was complicated for senior 2 as well, were they were twisted diaganonially out of the stunt and other stuff, they were ranked in finals first place and nationals first place with the hardest stunt routine, but that year we also had a lot of mishaps so I can only imagine what it was like for this team just to pull through like the winners they are in this year of 2011.
They won in 2010, they didn't in 2011because after the first day they were third and on the second day Maddie's stunt didn't hit. They got third or second place and Maryland Twisters won that year. Then senior elite won in 2012 and 2013, so this year is their threepeat and their fourth time winning wordls (if they win) *****
this was my favorite routine of all the years, my favorite is when she falls down nearly competing with her old injury and all, then she manages to make it back up into the air. That was a winning moment even though they didn't win, they were still winners in my eyes. You don't always need a title too win. It's crazy things like that, that make you feel like you have done great things. None of this is easy. Hitting consistently is really hard and after everything some of those girls went through, you couldnt have asked for any better.
2019 and still one of the most famous routines of 2011. I remember those days with maddie and erica :(
Its 2016 and that fall still kills me
sameee
Bri K-J 2019 and I still cry

2022 and that fall still hits hard...
It’s 2020 and I’m still looking over this traumatic moment. I remember how Maddie just broke emotionally after this especially as a center flyer too
3028547 is Maddie 20 in this because this says six years ago and right now she’s 26
Irene Sanchez I think she was 17 actually if she’s 26 now because this was in 2011 which was 9 years ago
3028547 oh ok thank you
Y'all seem to know alot about one cheer leader lol

honestly I think the fall is so sad because everyone knows how many times she has hit that stunt and looked amazing doing it.
I still know this entire music word for word. SE 2011 is just so iconic
That was a sad year for many teams..
Ugh I love how I can see Courtney cheering!
