Kentucky LB Jamin Davis has a chance to be the first Wildcats defensive player drafted in the 1st round since Josh Allen. Right now, he’s currently projected to go in the 1st to 2nd round. After a great Pro Day, it’s looking more & more like he’ll hear his name called earlier than a lot of people would expect.

Born December 12, 1998. Played high school football for the Long County Blue Tide (GA). Played college football for the Kentucky Wildcats. Drafted #19 overall by the Washington Football Team. I am a resident of South Carolina and can say that the WFT has a big fan base here. In fact, you have some that are so hardcore that they will not pull for the Panthers, citing the fact that the WFT was here first.
Davis killed it in his pro day
6'3 1/2 234 lbs
40 yd dash: 4.47
Vertical: 42"
Broad jump: 11'
These numbers are off the charts, very well could sneak into late 1st round, but likely a day two pick. I think he's someone we'll look back on and wonder why he wasn't a top 15 pick.

Jamin Davis has the prototypical LB size. After showing out at his Kentucky Pro Day, his stock rose tremendously after putting up, 4.47 40-Yard Dash. Putting himself on the radar leading up to Draft Day. On film you can see the sideline to sideline speed, instinctive at filling run gaps, and his ability to cover (mainly zone). He does struggle at getting off bigger blockers and is a reckless tackler. Davis would make an ideal Will Linebacker. Draft Grade: Late Round 1 - Round 2.

Full disclosure id be shocked if he went round 1, however I share the same sentiments about his play. Werner and Togiai are 2 of my favorite players in this years draft.

My thoughts is he was already exhausted on that TD return. I recall being spent a play before running down the offense and then getting an interception on the next play and already being tired ...it happens. But I also see plays where he is running down the RN from the back end...could be just coincidental that he looks slow on that runback TD
I know this is old but he played basically every snap, our defense had been on the field pretty good right before. He needed a break.

Parsons wouldn't fit the high character guys-strategy the Raiders have since Mayock arrived imo. And to be honest, although Parsons seems to be the full package at LB I am a bit concernced if we pick a guy with character issues like Parsons and pair him to a city like Vegas. But I would be fine with JOK, he is flying over the field. Just hoping for a big time LB in the end 🔥
