Although there are no specific licks from his songs in this video, it was how he placed licks like the ones shown in this video into his classic solos like, Play With Me, RISE, # REBEL, Flight Of The Wounded Bumblebee and so many others. I try to make up for it with really close up angles and saying where to put your fingers therefore removing the need for tab. I don't have tabs for anything nor do I make my own.
Arpeggios and pentatonic noodling are boring as hell. They are just exercises or etudes that every music student practices to learn technique, not anything really melodic. These are only meant as learning tools, not as actual melodic. All i am hearing is scales and arps. That is step one of 20. Most guitarists never make it past this level. They just get faster at it. Do they learn modal expansion, enclosures? Nope, just how to wiggle thier fingers, not how to develop ideas.
You're merely stating the obvious, and clearly missed the point of this video. The whole point of these licks are to help create parts in solos the same way Nuno or any other great player might do for their solos. Listen to what I say in the video. I'm not saying this is the definitive approach to take, this video is simply sharing ideas to help people improve technique. By the way, your videos and playing are great. ;)
I’ve been watching some of your vids just found yeah 2-weeks ago.. I purchased the EVH yesterday I’ve saved up for it for years my first Floyd Rose is it very hard to get the action lower to the fret board can you give me a few tips mine will be here Tuesday

I practiced for about an hour and dropped my E standard guitar to Eb. Which sounds excellent. I told my boss that I wouldn't be in for several weeks because I have to learn these. Best thing I think I've heard on RUclips to date. You are the man. I bow to you, sir 🙏 🤘
What's stopping you from playing these in standard tuning? It's still the same picking and fretting.....it'll just sound a little different than in the video.

It's easy to lower the action on a floyd. There are two posts on each side of the bridge. Tightening them lowers the bridge and therefore the strings.

I get asked about Dime a lot. As good as Dime was, I never fully gelled with his music.
