Paul Revere and the Raiders definitely belong in the Hall of Fame. When you look at some of the groups that are in there and don’t belong… they have to be considered. Many great songs along the way.

+JohnnyNation: Johnny, I'm answering you 2 yrs. after you posted "how old does that make US?" So.....I'm 70 in '24. Remember digging this heavy tune and many more the Raiders did (aside from their "pop" hits, that band could ROCK PROPER) from the get-go in the mid 60's. Do you ever feel blessed that we were born Boomers?? We had the best music. jbeinarizona PS....not sure how old this vid is, but Mark Lindsay just looks and sounds like a much younger guy in this. Let it give you hope. jbeinarizona

On this day in 1966 {February 5th} Paul Revere & the Raiders performed "Just Like Me" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'...
Two months earlier on December 4th, 1965 it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #11 and spent 15 weeks on the Top 100...
It reached #28 on the Canadian RPM Singles chart...
R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 -2012} and Paul Revere, aka Paul Revere Dick, celebrated his 75th birthday this past January 7th...

The original lead was double tracked in the studio by Drake Levin. It's tough to duplicate live. Dave did a fair job on it. You need 2 players on stage to really do it right.

unless I can't see right they have 3 guitar players on stage

Why are Paul Revere and the Raiders not in the Rock and Roll HOF? Drake Levin was also an underrated guitar player. His lead on Just Like Me is one of my favorites.

I ask the same thing about Grand Funk Railroad and Joe Cocker. Of course, Abba is in the HOF.

I don't think Eric Clapton is feeling nervous about Dave Barry. But he did seem to remember the solo.

Mark still sounded great, but the guitar player wasn't in the Drake Levin universe...he should stick to writing.

He's lost his growl here. The guitar playing is uninspired also. No thanks.
