I had the biggest crush on him when I was a teenager. He still looks great and can still sing!! Rock on Mark!!
Me too! 💜💜💜💜
Thank you, Mark, for taking such good care of yourself, so your original fans can still rock out with you. Such a thrill!!!
Mark's still got it! He looks like he's enjoying himself.
I saw Mark perform about 20 years ago and he was still on the top of his game. It was a fun evening.
What bothers me as I grow old is all this youth snobbery we have to put with . We LIVED the birth and growth of R&R into what it is and still like to rock even from our rockers. Mick is in his late 70s also and can still kick it.
Can't beat the original lineup with Mark, Paul, Drake, Fang and Smitty. I enjoyed watching Drake and Fang with their choreographed moves during the songs.
Completely agree. "Fang" and "Smitty" and Drake added those choreographed moves during the songs that greatly added to them. The original line-up is the only line-up that mattered. Mark doesn't have the charisma to do it alone but with "Fang" and Drake and "Smitty" he was on fire.
Best damn Era .
when these old rockers die its all over nothing will ever top it
True
The funniest thing about all of this is that Mark Lindsey is singing the songs that he viewed in the late 60's as "without a message" but they're the ones that stood the test of time and the more serious songs in the late 60's faded away. I totally agree with some posting here that the best version of Paul Revere and the Raiders was with "Fang" and "Smitty" and Drake and Mark and Paul.
Time has been good to him and we can all enjoy his singing, where the can't take away or" tax" our memories. long live Rock n Roll !
This makes me really sad I got to see them back in the day what a show that was
My gosh that man can sing! Great video...great energy
This is a better video than the last one I saw - Loved mark Lindsay as a kid - my heart throb in the day, Love PR &R Mark did it for me though.....
Mark was the best lead vocalist with Paul Revere!
I saw the Wisconsin State Fair Show. It was great. We hated to see it end. Of course Mark was my favorite of all the performers! His voice is still as great as it was in the 60s.
Still got it Mark
I was fortunate to see Mark Lindsay and Raiders in Birmingham Alabama in late 60s rock on Mark
Great performance. Mark still has the moves and the grooves!
Was a great fan back in the day, still am, what a voice, my first son was named Mark Lindsay
they were my first concert back at the Houston Coliseum. I was n love with Mark Lindsay and his ponytail!
I knew Mark needed glasses & I do not care ! He was the BEST of the lead singers. Love all the Raiders tho.
The first concert I ever saw was Paul Revere and the Raiders at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Every birthday my mom would take me on some type of day trip. I was really young but loved this group and their music. Besides I had a big crush on Mark Lindsay.
I saw them too at the Indiana State Fair on August 26, 1970. It was GREAT show!
+John Blazier lucky man!!
Great voice
Sounds terrific!
Wish I had been there❤️❤️❤️
Why aren't Paul Revere & his Raiders in the R&R HOF? Without them in it, it's the Hall of Shame.
They deserve to be inducted into the Hall of Fame along with their peers...The Banana Splits, The Archies, The Bugaloos, and the band that played songs during Scooby Doo chase scenes.
@@asu.jaguar6739 They were the American Rolling Stones and you're just showing your ignorance.
@@jsgreen1000 The Rolling Stones wrote the majority of their recorded output and played their own instruments in the recording studio. They also wore fashionable clothing on stage and did not perform choreographed dance steps while they played. Paul Revere and the Raiders were the American Freddie and the Dreamers.
@@johnclark4593 I saw both bands in the summer of '66. The Raiders blew The Stones off the stage in every way. They rocked harder and their high steppin' choreography (including Mark) made Mick's swivel foot dancing (while the others just stood by their amps) look pathetic. The show ended with Fang and Harpo standing on top of their Vox amp heads playing their guitars behind their heads while Mark belted out "Ooh Poo Pa Doo". The greatest R+R Show in history!
@@jsgreen1000 And yet The Rolling Stones went on to play in stadia around the world while The Raiders play for the chicken-in-a-basket crowd in Branson. The Stones were a real band. The Raiders was a business owned by Paul Revere who employed hired hands, including Mark Lindsey, Fang, Drake, Smitty, Harpo, and a revolving door of others.
"Steppin' Out" is the name of the song. Always loved Paul Revere and The Raiders.. especially, Mark Lindsey. Always thought Mark Lindsey and Dave Clark (Dave Clark 5) were so good looking.
A ponytail pioneer.
I remember when they had some sort of contest where the winner would get Mark's pony tail.
Was at this concert up front!!! Great show!!!
Still a great front man at that point.
Yeah, yeah!! I was young when Paul Revere was new, but Mark Lindsay still rocks!!
Go Steve Murphy on drums (I'm a drummer) and Godfrey Townsend on lead guitar.
Absolutely the voice of PR&R ~ thanks for sharing this!
I so much want to see him in person. Back then I was way too young.
I hope you get to see him in person someday Janice. He really puts on a GREAT show.
Very, very awesome vids all around! Thank you for sharing!
I wish I'd taken care of my earlier albums I replaced some of them but I never replaced my P.R. and the Raiders vinyl. I have downloads of the songs but vinyl ops are a whole different listening experience.
yes every afternoon
I had the biggest crush on him in school .So good looking and can still sing .I've got to meet him and talk to him .
I had a crush on him too he’s as groovy as ever
for ever i liking rock
I believe I see the most excellent Godfrey Townsend on guitar!
whatever band that Lindsay leads is the Raiders.
Steppin out
❤️❤️✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻❤️👍🏻👍🏻❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸✌🏻❤️
voice sounds pretty good for being over 70 ..... looks like he takes pretty good care of his body (not heavy at all) ...... looks like a little bit of plastic surgery ........ all in all ...... great job, mark!
+frizzlefrap ....yes he had some botched up bad plastic surgery but still attracts young groupies to his Hotel room after shows!
Yeah, the 'young' groupies are all grandma's. LOL
Is that Godfrey Townsend on guitar? Pretty sure it is!
Mark must be about 6’5” or 6’6”. I didn’t realize he as that tall.
6'3
HUGE FAN OF PR&R - Met Mark after a show. What an ego this guy has.
He looks nithing like Mark Lindsay, but he sounds darn good!
These old rockers never go out without their hair pieces. Just sayin
Why did he leave The Raiders?
Ditch the bathrobe it doesn't look anything like what the raiders wore back when
Bingo on that lol
lot of people don't know this but Mark wears coke bottle glass's and can't see with out them.......true
He is also bald as a billiard. He is wearing a wig.
artistmama1 for real?
Sparky...hey,Coug from a homey . Newsflash to all you smart Alec whippersnappers...Father Time is creeping up on you ,too. Just think....does it feel like _____ years since you posted ? Didn't think so. Tempis fugit. God bless.
Mark thought the colonial uniforms were hokey back in the day--he wanted to dump em and go on his own for a solo career. Funny how he wears the coat now and sings all the Raiders songs as if they were his. He sings good but he has changed his tune. He now tries to be a comic like Paul but Mark can't be funny.
the hall of fame sucks
Mark thought he was the Raiders, but he hated wearing the colonial uniforms--he was way too cool for that--but all these years later he is wearing a colonial bathrobe with pride--what happened, Mark?
That old Fart is rocking man!!!!!! What an entertainer!!!!! Is he hard up for money??
+lenspaulding doubt it, hes a millionaire
and you know this because???
....because he doesn't spend a lot of money on outfits or back up bands.....it's obvious isn't it?
He lacks the heart & soul that he put into the music in the 60's. Listen to the records, and then listen to this. Sounds like a bad Vegas show.
His energy is gone. Needs more prunes.
