    Outstanding! Heard this remarkable performance of this wonderful composition on Canada/s national radio this morning, and rushed to hear more from composer, conductor/violist, and all the rest online -- stupendously beautiful. Long life to Dobrinka Tabakova, young composer, and may all her works bring such joy to musicians and listeners as this piece is doing!

    Absolutely love this suite. Just want to listen to it again and again. Maxim Rysanov is one word - brilliant, both as a violist and conductor. Hope he will come to Edinburgh again.

    I can't stop listening to the slow movement. The whole Suite is excellent. An original way to bring the past into today's world transforming the latter and raising it above its brokenness. The work touches the soul on so many levels and leaves an unforgettable noble mark. Follow that inspiration, Dobrinka!!

    Dobrinka is PHENOMENAL! The more I listen to "String Paths" - and I've been listening to it every day for the past 5 months - the more I want to listen to it! And the virtuosity of the musicians! Maksim is brilliant both in the Cello concerto - although there Kristina shines, and Mov.2 , "Longing" is my fav. And the way he conducts and plays in the "Suite in the old style"! I imagine Wolfgang was conducting that way. :) Janine, is of couse a great star, but these other guys are getting up there as well And Dobrinka...ah..

    She said in a Young musician of the year 2016 "that society should fight against mediocracy " not exactly theses words but more or less this content, of course the young contestant were a good example of achievement , I wonder how to fight if BBC itself is a bias institution which harvest vested interested and in many cases white elephants ..( i am not pointed out the young participants )

    Fresher than most modern "vanguard" music, producing a lot of predictable nonsense,,,

      What would useful music be defined as in your mind, sir?

    • @ethansaltmere

      +WittyFellow 24 music that is somewhat new, and different, and not completely unoriginal

      +Ethan in what ways is it unoriginal? I am not saying that you should like it, I just want to see your reasoning behind your queries.

      +WittyFellow 24 cmon man.... how many times have you heard music like this

    • @addadu8031
      @addadu8031 8 лет назад +1

      +Ethan a few times. But should everything be 100 percent original? There's nothing wrong with familiarity. I see where you're coming from, but you could have worded it in a way that makes your point clearer.
