His bow technick is clearly violin, and the instrument seems small, you can hear both things in the sound, he is probably the viola player with the most virtuoso technick, but not in my top viola players list. But again, sounds amazing and perfect!

I don't think you'd need a transposition. Same key, just an octave up.
