What a rich tone and dexerity combined with lyrical mastery ... and at such a young age. Great conducting and orchestra ... doesn't overpower the beauty of the viola.
Well look at the good side, you are practicing a pice I can't play yet, I'm 20 years old and I started 2 years playing viola (my first musical instrument) I feel bad to start studying music to late.
@@arathmiguelnerirojas1253 I was like 11 when I started and I also felt that way! Time is relative, don't feel like you're losing cause you're not! Just enjoy what you do and try to improve. Also, you only notice the enormous difference after like 5 years lmao I've been now studying viola for 6 years (I did the equivalent of 7 tho, long story) and only now I've been noticing how much I improved! You got this!!
@@lukinino9094 Definitely! I got carpal tunnel which was very problematic for my progress, but now I'm starting to be able to play again. But I do not miss this piece at all.
Along with Kim K. (can't spell her name) Tabea may be the best violist I heard around these days. Really awesome with the quartet she is in. This is a great document of her so young then!
Je l'avais entendue au début des années 90 dans la sonate pour flûte, alto et harpe de Debussy et elle m'avait fortement impressionné et conquis. je vois aujourd'hui en regardant cette vidéo que j'avais eu quelques bonnes raisons!
Those C string notes at 11:47 .... so gorgeous. I wish she'd stayed on this viola if it were possible. I know Ms Zimmermann 'won a viola' and she stayed on it, but to her, that has become her "new sound" and it's not to my taste. She's a wonderful player and I always hoped that she had the best viola in her hands. At the moment: she's playing with a marvellous tone and musical passion on a modern viola, but new the best modern viola.
Times have changed. I can't imagine the Stamitz concerto being of acceptable difficulty for the finale of a viola competition today. Schnittke or bust! ;)
Well the Bartok works quite well, last year’s primrose competition had Bartok and Walton as the finalist viola concertos. But on the international stage alongside the tremendous other talents I agree! Penderecki too would be a good choice at that same level.
Well you gotta play it well and nice emotional 🎻= à la Viola ‼️‼️‼️🎶 Bartòk also, which is like "painting" abstrakt, difficult. What is the edition of the cadence of the first movement? Anybody know?
Davi Dimana Franz Beyer is the composer of this cadenza but I don't know the edition where we can find this

Repetition. Hours and hours of practice can allow for memory like that.
9:55- the cadenza
🤩
The cadenza is not by Primrose, Meyer, Katims, Fine, Klengel, or Dejardin. I would love to know who wrote these cadenzes!!!
+Viola Bear The cadenzas she played are all by Franz Beyer.
+Viola Bear Yes, they are from Beyer. In fact you can find them on the Cadenzas book (Stamitz, Zelter and Hoffmeister) edition Kunzelmann.
Suave sonoridade, belo.
Qui a composé les cadences? C'est magnifique!
Beyer és l'autor de les cadències. Magnífiques sí que son!
Franz Beyer ist der Komponist der Kadenz
Beyer, I am sure as I have the partition before my nose
Do you have the score? I can not find it
Ya que cada uno usa el idioma que le sale de los cojones voy a aportar diciendo que el autor es Franz Beyer :v
Is that Eric Morecambe conducting?
Muy justo el 1* premio
Where can I get the Cadenza for the 2nd movement?
I am after all the cadenzas, would anyone knows who the composer is?
Magdalena Ojeda Franz Beyer cadenzas
Cadenza 1° mov. start at 9:54
09:55 Cadenza ❤️
If I was just hearing this I would have told you someone was really rockin out on the Cello.
I want to know the Cadenza of that song. What version of Stamitz's sheet music is it?
I didn't find it anywhere... I think she wrote it herself!
It’s the Franz Beyer cadenza

The Cadenza was written by Franz Beyer, but idk what edition has it.

What is the name of this peace in English?
Stamitz viola concerto
Also this is stamitz's opus ONE.

I play this piece at auditions, there is something that the panels do not like about my performance - can never work out what it is....
You should record yourself! I'm working on this piece too.

Daniel Urbanowicz that was recorded by recording students in a recording studio
Recording devices are so cheap now! It's just nice to hear from other violists to see how they play and understand the music.
