- From Vaughan Williams's Suite for Viola and Orchestra we hear the 'Prelude and Galop.' It was played by Maxim Rysanov and the BBCSO under Jiri Belohlavek at the Last Night of the 2010 Proms in London's Royal Albert Hall.

Perhaps the best viola pieces ever written!
Best out of 3 lmao
+Miguel Misa well at least they are lol
I kind of disagree. It's an OK piece, but not at that level. In fact, I've played viola all my life and I wasn't even aware of this piece. Viola literature is definitely lacking, but it's not *that* lame-- there are much better pieces written specifically for the viola by Bartok, Walton, Schnittke, Penderecki, Berlioz, Telemann, Britten, Hindemith, Schumann, etc. etc. etc.
