- In this video, we take look at what could very well be the Ultimate Emulation Gaming phone on the market right now! This is not my full review this is a first look first test video.
This is the red magic 6 powered by the Snapdragon 888 and backed by 12GB of rumples it has a 165Hz AMOLED screen! In this video we do an unboxing go over the specs run some benchmarks test out some native android games like Minecraft, Call of duty mobile At Medium , and Genshin Impact then finally move over to some emulation with some of our favorite emulators like Redream for Dreamcast, Dolphin for Gamecube and Wii, Damon PS2 for PS2 and Citra for 3DS. The best part about this phone is it's powerful enough to run the PS2 version of Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix+ at 2x resolution, with 60fps cheats enabled. It's a true beast.

GameMode with cooling fan is a salient feature of this smartphone to play emulation games.
The play! Emulator has gotten really good recently you should try it more
Only for a handful of games. Kh 1 + 2, resident evil code veronica, and a few other off titles. It came a long way early this year for sd865 or better or iphone 11 or better. Though for a couple weeks it looks like he took a break

It wouldn’t be a clone, the Nintendo switch’s design is not entirely original, this means that the switch is a clone itself, and anything that follows the switches design language is a clone of a clone.
The switch is based on nexus 9 tech ,the HTC tablet that launched ages ago .....lol

@@gerboog the design? Dude it's literally an nvidia shield clone. It even looks like one minus the joy cons which is why gen 1 only need software mods to put android on it. Look whose talking now doofus. You can look it up as well. It's not based on nexus 9 tech either. Only a handful of them had tegra x1. Pixel c and nvidia shield

Most people should have a ton of unused android devices which can be given a new lease of life by running emulators on them.
Exactly what I did with my old LG G6 and an old Dualshock 4 that was having problems with drift (not a problem with most older systems). Travel emulation gave them both a new purpose. And I learned it all from ETA Prime.

Exactly…that’s what I did with my old Samsung phone ..it became a console of its own ..

I give my phones a new lease on life by selling them on eBay and use that to pay for new hotness
The funny thing is you see a lot of videos on "budget builds" for gaming PCs with 6th gen i5s or older in an office PC that aren't even close to this on Geekbench!
Best features are the headphone jack and the inclusion of a charger
Sad but true, bluetooth really sucks in terms of audio quality (but has it's uses).
A 65 or 30 watt charger is 30 - 50 a pop.
I won't buy a phone that doesn't have a headphone jack and a premium charger included period.
F Apple to hell and Samsung too for copying them after a year.
P.S. the most Amazing phone in the market right now is LG V60 Thin Q 5G Dual Screen. (The $50 case includes a second identical screen.) Aside from dual screen it has native digital pen support for the Bamboo 2 stylus.
It has 2 fantastic screens great for multi tasking and gaming (you can customize the controls on the second screen). It is really fast. It has a Headphone jack, great speakers, and Quad Dac premium audio.
Battery life and charging experience is Amazing on it. Decent large screen at 60 Hrz. better than Decent cameras front and back. Takes good pictures at night with fkash. The only thing it is missing to be absolute everything is a higher refresh rate screen (which most people don't need) and a zoom lens camera.
I bought mine for $700 from T-Mobile. It can now be found for $400 on eBay.used in excellent condition.
Sadly LG gas decided not to make anymore premium phones. So this is the last of it.
I love this phone so much I bought a second one as a spare.
@@feedmyintellect you won't buy a phone without a headphone jack that's what i thought but i have the rog phone 3 with no headphone jack and it has 2 usb c ports and i have to say if you have a phone with 2 usb c ports you won't need a headphone jack

This is awesome, thanks for putting it up! Been wanting a review for this guy ever since it was launched on China. Guess the biggest question is how it compares to the ROG Phone 5, and wether it's worth the price premium.
It's superior to rog 5 in terms of gaming performance and cooling.
Rog 5 software is better, more stable, less glitches and more features. But if you just wanna game, RM6 will not disappoint.

But cant play games the switch can. That tells you everything. Who cares if it's more "powerful" when it is not optimized to run games current handhelds can do easily.
@@jponz85 i believe there is a switch emulator out already and different companies with joy con like control attachments you can buy online you can turn your phone into a look alike switch and smartphones can emulate every handheld console except vita which sooner or later will happen

Bought a Red Magic 3S 12GB when it released, very nice phone. Sucks it doesn't get updates anymore, I wonder how long they will support this one.
Likely just one OS update. Few device manufactures outside of the larger companies will do 2+ updates.
Can't wait what 3nm will do when it's mainstream. Just imagine traveling 15 years back in time with this phone lol

I had a similar problem on my Gamesir X2 and fixed it by creating game specific settings for each game and mapping the controller in them. Bit of a hassle but it worked!
5:00 if you go into your files you can actually disable vsync for Minecraft windows 10 and I’ve also done the same thing on my Samsung s9 but that was a few years ago
Jus insane how far emulators have come.. I'm hoping in maybe 10 more years we can download emulators for the xbox360 on our phone an play MW2

Hey ETA Prime, do u reckon 12GB ram would be sufficient alongside the SD888 chipset for emulation across the board right up to the Switch (Egg NS) or would it be worthwhile to splurge a little more for the 16GB one?

You should test Delta Touch running the classic Doom along with graphics or TC mods on that phone.
Yes! Beautiful Doom + Eviternity for example are a challenge for phones.
I honestly can't believe Tekken 6 Dark Resurrection is a PSP game. It looks ridiculously good. I know that the upscaling is helping, but still. The level of detail is insane, along with the fluidity of the animations.

i am using pot-lx1 and when i downgrade from android 10 to 9 performance increased now i can do good multitasking and better performance.
i would love too see the day where we get 1 tb phones , use them so much we need more storage. even 256 is a slap in th face

I like to see you test Zelda Twilight Princess. On the Red Magic 5g Smartphone, Hyrule field drops to 12 frames per second. I don't know what settings to change in the Dolphin emulator.
An interesting and powerful phone. I question the Antutu score as I believe ZTE was found to cheat that score. Sadly I need a phone with monthly security updates for work and prefer phones with know software support timelines , so I'll be sticking with Samsung or OnePlus for now.
Sadly this is out of my price range to be a gaming and emulation device. Speaking of: Would you recommend getting a 128GB OnePlus 6T for emulation up to PSP at 2x (specifically the Crisis Core HD texture pack)? They are going for about $200 on Ebay and can be flashed with LineageOS.
Have you looked into the GameSir X2 2021/D-pad edition or is it not of interest to you due to not using the Android Switch emulator?
I got a Lenovo G8X Thinq for 195 on eBay. Should be a little bit faster than the 6T (SD 855 vs 845). I also got the Gamesir X2 and it's amazing. Works very well with everything from emulation to Doom on Delta Touch. Eggns emulator is good some games are working but it's not perfect. Still has some ways to go. Plus switch games are really huge for phones
I just ordered one. I'm so excited to get it. It will be my first flagahip phone. Replacing both my Galaxy a51, and gpd win 2. Can't wait to be able to run portable Genshin Impact.

@@balistahr.o.g1103 just look up the bands cricket supports and compare against the phone. I use Walmart Family Mobile which uses the tmobile network, and I get great coverage and even near constant 5G where I live. I do know in the US tmobile is the only network that has a 5G band this phone supports, but cricket would probably support some 4G bands.

Can you try running majoras mask 3d at 1080p on citra and run it over the big screen through that wire also can you test Pokémon ultra sun and do you know is it possible for citra to emulate online and local connections for trading and battling? With this chipset you should start using cycle accurate emulators like demul instead of re-dream, parallel/angrylion instead of mupen 64 for n64 emulation.

I'm iffy over the fps counter... The samsung S21 has an fps counter but it has a 2 fps cost just to enable it.

Hello. Global version charging is top to 66w with a 5050mah battery. Chinese version has smaller version with 120w charging. Still the charger included in global version is 30w

Unfortunately CODM is not optimized atm on SD888 so it only give 90 fps but in the next update they said theyll be optimizing it..

I think he should also try other games at citra, like pokemon ultrasun.
Nah ultra sun is pretty optimised both in the 3ds and in citra if he tests something it should be a hard to run game, and he knows that
@@gekyg4mer my poco f1 has difficulty keeping 30 fps in the z moves cutscenes. It is interesting to see if it can run flawlessly at 2x on this device.
Z moves and such extra effects aside my poco x2 ka run smoothly and if i disable limit speed it goes upto 120fps

The microsd are a little buzz kill.Not sure about phones but games are huge these days at 256gb may not be enough depends on your library.I personally love to see a phone like this perform this well but i am pretty sure it will be way to expensive in South Africa that the average joe can't afford it.Would have loved to see how this phone played Gran turismo as it's more cpu depended than gpu.
