  • @sonnyr.3842

    I've watched a documentary about shroud of Turin's carbon dating. They said that the piece of cloth that cut from shroud were actually a cloth from the 12th to 13th century. As they dive deeply, they found out that the shroud were burned and the damaged parts were repaired with other kind of cloth, perfectly sewed that it followed the strands of the original cloth they seemingly dyed the cloth as well. The damaged parts were the edges of the shroud and that's the part scientists took the piece of cloth from.

  • @annegoodreau4925
    @annegoodreau4925 4 года назад +20

    I had heard that the cloth fragment from the Shroud of Turin may have come from pieces that were sewn in to repair the cloth after a fire damaged it. The dating would be correct for those fragments, but then not address the age of the cloth itself. (The shroud is the one item that I think most likely to be the real thing.) It's sad to me that the many shady relics cast cynicism on the life and message of Christ Himself.

      Back in the day, the church was already one of the richest entities in any country. They were the ones who could afford the best artists and, of course, payed them to paint religious artwork. They've also learned how they have to build and paint things to create an effect. It's not a coincidence, that churches look like no other building and that you get that weird feeling when you enter one. It's the architecture designed to have just that effect.

      Don't all life explanations require blind faith? You don't really know if the people around you exist, you just say, "While i exist, so they must also exist." You believe what random people (who you don't know are actually real) tell you because they're spiritual, religious, or scientific.

    The "crown" actually covered the top of the head as well as the traditional depiction. The face cloth's blood matches the Shroud of Turin in 75 different points. The blood type is also the same as on the Shroud, AB-. Furthermore the face cloth has direct documentation to the second century. If the Shroud has the same blood pattern as the Face covering, that too would indicate that it must be from at least the second century.
    It is obvious the objectivity is significantly slanted, especially given the new scientific evidence that you would have come across if you did more looking at the current information available. BTW, I am not Catholic, but was willing to look at info from both sides of the academic community.
    Barrie Schwortz who has studied the Shroud since the original scientific team examined it. He was the official photographer for the team while in Turin Italy. Mr. Schwortz is also Jewish by faith. If interested you can look him up on youtube
