“The passion of our savior is the price of our salvation” We cannot speak about Catholicsm without the passion of our lord. Because the Holy mother the Church was born from the most precious blood that gushed from the most holy body of Christ. That is why the Church always treats everything that is related with the passion with utmost reverence. Today we are going to share with you some information about the relics of the sacred passion of Jesus which were preserved and are guarded now under the care of the Holy Catholic Church.
These relics that I mentioned are kept in the Holy Cross Basilica in Rome. The original basilica was built in Rome by St. Helena, the mother of Constantine. It is known in Italian as “Santa Croce in Gerusalemme”. In this basilica we find the Passion Relics, which she brought to Rome from the Holy Land. Later, Pope Benedict XIV built the existing basilica. The relics which are placed there are the following:
1. The True Cross of Our Lord Jesus Christ
2. Title Sign of The Cross
3. The Crucifixion Nails
4. The Crown of Thorns
5. The Column of Scourging
6. The Holy Shroud

This is so rad. I got to spend Good Friday at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in D.C. and ended up having an amazing Holy day. Not only did I get to attend Confession, Stations of the cross and the 3PM Mass, but by God's providence, they were actually displaying (and allowing veneration) of a multitude of relics from the Passion of our Lord. I was able to touch particles of many of the relics and I feel so blessed to have been able to do so.

Excellently narrated about the Holy Relics Of Our Lord Jesus's Passion. I remember St. Helana with great gratitude the suffering that she had taken for collecting the Holy Relics of Our Lord.

At Gallie at the site of the sermon on the mount where Jesus walked, are numerous stones of the stone age in the soil. These are holy relics that are waiting for some one to find.

One thing we know for sure, the crown did not have that shape. It covered the hole head.
True. It was more helmet-shaped. However, the thorns were drawn together and placed in that case. There was never any claim that it is maintained in the same form. Owing to the various environmental factors, keeping it exposed to the heat and moisture would be detrimental to the Sacred Thorns. Hence it is placed in the case.

I believe in the passion but I don’t believe in any relics from the passion. There was simply no reason for any of it to be preserved and so many forgeries were being flogged to tourists in the Middle Ages that it would be impossible to know what’s real and what isn’t.
As I’ve heard it said: if all the pieces of the true cross were brought together, there’d be enough wood to build Noah’s Ark.
Edit: having said the above, I will, however, concede that the shroud may have some legitimacy.
