Base on this trailer she looks like a very strong support. The best part about her kit is that she can see her allies through walls and can teleport to them when they need healing so yeah thats kinda neat. Also a good counter for both Ana's biotic grenade and Junker Queen's life style effect.

She's definitely an interesting one. It feels like a combo of most of the healers. That white light immortality field like bap's, zen's healing orb, and moira's fade except she can go through walls all in 1. Also seems to have genji like movement and knife throw aiming mechanics. I wonder how they'll balance her damage to her healing.

@@timar6868 but it's not just an FPS, it's an ability shooter. Playing around abilities is built into the game. Ow2 is already making the game more brawly and FPS focused, this is a step into a healthy middle ground so they don't alienate their past fans who enjoyed the ability aspect
Very helpful if u play as her giving no excuses to why there’s no heals u should be able to get high ground and heal your teammates and it seems like her healing is long range as well

That, and her wall run is a trademark shimada move, she definitely has shimada connection, the only thing missing is the second jump. Tells you she's connected to them, but not exactly a member of their family
Can't wait for the eventual Kiriko Idol Song to come out. You don't just hire a Japanese Voice Idol (especially with the interesting renown that Sally Amaki brings as a American-born Japanese Idol) without using the singing aspects of her voice. Though, it is interesting that they have a separate Voice Actress specifically for the Japanese version - probably because it might be too much workload for Sally to do all her lines twice in two different languages (on top of her idol duties in 22/7).
Just keep on releasing supports like this until the massive DPS gap is gone. There are too many DPS in the game and this is a cool concept that looks very well executed. Overwatch is a damage centered game, theres no issue shifting some of the power over to supports.
Looks like it only last a second so it’ll probably be on long cooldown but something you have to time really well to make use of. Immortality seems more busted than this
Honestly idek what that was. At first it looked like a clense but then it saved them from tire. Maybe it makes them immune to dmg for a second or two? Either way looks like another broken ability blizz are gonna struggle to balance....
if I remember correctly, Kanezaka was created through a developer's design suggestion and it was cool enough to be made into an actual map. It's cool that they already have a character based on the map.

Supports really needed a character like this. On overwatch 2 you're a much easier target as a healer imo. You don't have the protection of 2 tanks anymore and damage is hardly ever nearby. This character can avoid danger pretty well if spotted with no teammates nearby. That's why the pros were going Lucio & Brigitte. Not the easiest healers to pick off & the combination of abilities are OP with Junker Queen.

Shes finally here! So from what i can tell shes a support hero that has a passive where she can climb,a ability to provide a short time damage immunity,teleport through things and a speed buffing(fire rate buff??) ultimate.

This is a really neat hero trailer. Kiriko looks so cool! However, unfortunately, there was a moment at about 0:49 when she was climbing up the wall where there was this, kind of flash and I very briefly remembered that an Activision Blizzard employee stole breast milk from a mother working at the company office. Other than that, great trailer.

This is my interpretation of Kiriko's abilities compared with other Heroes: Spray healing tags [Moira's Primary Heal], Multiple kunai [Genji's Primary], Teleportation [Reaper's Teleportation, but to Teammates], Smoke Bomb [Basically Baptists Immortality Field, but a projectile], and the Fox Ultimate [Lucio's speed, but vertical and whatever buffs it grants]
Because everyone loved the immortality field... That ability scares me. Looks like it comes out as fast as the projectile can travel, and can't be destroyed/canceled? There better be some nuance we can't see from its visuals.

From what I’ve seen and read of her abilities, she seems like an actually fun support. I’ve always felt like the Support category in the original should have been renamed to ‘Healer’, as that’s basically the only thing they did. But now with a support that can provide a very short burst of damage immunity, and has an ultimate which buffs teammates by increasing attack speed, reload speed, and ability cooldowns, instead of just healing teammates, she seems like an actual ‘support’.

@@InsulinRunner Just following the script. She's pure japanese, and works/lives in japan as an idol, she won't have any problems pronouncing that. I wish the scripwriters could've written "fox spirit" instead of "kitsune", or just written the entire sentence in japanese like the other voice lines.
She can have Japanese parents, live in Japan and speak Japanese, that doesn't mean her delivery was any good. VA's have directors to make sure they get the lines right and know when they need to do a retake. I wouldn't put it past blizzard to assume the line was good just because she's Japanese. Anyone who knows a little Japanese can tell you that pronunciation is terrible. Some of her English lines are bad too. It's not a matter of ethnics, but the quality of her performance that I have a problem with.
I love everything about her! I love playing support but always have more fun with Tracer and Dva because of mobility. This'll be a good bridge in playstyles.

I wouldn't exactly compare her heal to moira's. It's single target and tracking, so probably more comparable to mercy's heal.

Because everyone loved the immortality field... That ability scares me. Looks like it comes out as fast as the projectile can travel, and can't be destroyed/canceled? There better be some nuance we can't see from its visuals.

From what I’ve seen and read of her abilities, she seems like an actually fun support. I’ve always felt like the Support category in the original should have been renamed to ‘Healer’, as that’s basically the only thing they did. But now with a support that can provide a very short burst of damage immunity, and has an ultimate which buffs teammates by increasing attack speed, reload speed, and ability cooldowns, instead of just healing teammates, she seems like an actual ‘support’.

I'm sure the voice actor did her best. I am worried about the mispronunciation of kitsune. Why did she say it that way? As Japanese born, hearing it is a bit awkward.

@@InsulinRunner Just following the script. She's pure japanese, and works/lives in japan as an idol, she won't have any problems pronouncing that. I wish the scripwriters could've written "fox spirit" instead of "kitsune", or just written the entire sentence in japanese like the other voice lines.

She can have Japanese parents, live in Japan and speak Japanese, that doesn't mean her delivery was any good. VA's have directors to make sure they get the lines right and know when they need to do a retake. I wouldn't put it past blizzard to assume the line was good just because she's Japanese. Anyone who knows a little Japanese can tell you that pronunciation is terrible. Some of her English lines are bad too. It's not a matter of ethnics, but the quality of her performance that I have a problem with.

If she has good DPS then she is going to be scary because she can go DEEP into the back lines and get a pick without fear of dying.
She doesn't have good dps actually, unless you manage to hit headshots constantly, which is not likely

I love everything about her! I love playing support but always have more fun with Tracer and Dva because of mobility. This'll be a good bridge in playstyles.
