How do you treat the snake itself? Spray the snake? Do rinse out the enclosure before returning the animal? Or do you let it dry in there?

Mites are really mobile, so after you spray down the enclosure, the snake will move across the Nix and get minimal amounts on him. Don't rinse the enclosure and you should be good to return the animal in there after about 10 minutes. Its the particles in the air that you want to settle before returning the snake

I’ve had so much trouble with blood mites lately. I’ve tried provent a mite and reptile spray and so far nothing has worked. I will try this next! Do I spray the snake itself at all? Thank you for this video! Saw you at the convention today and thought the show was awesome!

I don't spray the snakes themselves. Mites are notoriously mobile. I'm glad you enjoyed the show. Be sure to say hi again next time around!

@@mabelinerose1404 what ended up working for me was treatment on snake with reptile spray and cleaning tank out completely every week for a month or so. My snakes are mite free!! It’s easy to see since it’s a bel

    Do i leave substrate in?

Depends. If it’s just one snake, should be okay.
But I prefer going to paper towel for a couple weeks to make sure I get the issue taken care of. It’s just easier to see mites that way.
