This is AMAZIIIING.....Thank you hahaha I have hundreds of apps and the other day I spent forever and still couldn't get them sorted how I wanted. I finally gave up. This will definitely help so much
Thank you for your video! I want to do my iPad exactly as you did but instead of placing apps in folders just leaving them on their own page. Very fast and efficient!
So everytime I download an app, to get it in alphabetical order, iI need to reset my homescreen? I have to delete all the icons I removed before, set up all the widgets again? There has to be a way that doesn't make me redo all my homescreen. =( More work than it's worth.
I set up my 2018 iPad Pro home screen the way I want it, but whenever I upgrade software, or just restart, all my home screen icons are completely rearranged-even some of the folders have disappeared and the icons are scattered. I’ve searched for an answer, but have been unsuccessful. I don’t have this problem with my iPhone 14Pro or iPad Mini6. Would appreciate any help. Thank you.
If your 2018 iPad Pro home screen icons are rearranging themselves and some folders are disappearing after software updates or restarts, there could be a few potential reasons or glitches causing this behavior. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully fix the issue: 1. **Backup First**: Before making any changes, ensure you've backed up your iPad data to iCloud or your computer using iTunes. 2. **Reset Home Screen Layout**: - Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Reset". - Tap "Reset Home Screen Layout". - This will reset your icons to the default layout. From there, rearrange them as you prefer and monitor if the issue persists. 3. **Software Update**: Ensure your iPad Pro is updated to the latest iOS version. Sometimes bugs are fixed in newer updates. - Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Software Update" to check for available updates. 4. **Check Restrictions**: If you've set up restrictions (or Screen Time settings in newer iOS versions), it could be affecting your home screen layout. - Go to "Settings" > "Screen Time" > "Content & Privacy Restrictions". - Ensure that any unnecessary restrictions that might be affecting your apps or home screen are turned off. 5. **Toggle Off App Offloading**: - Apple introduced a feature called "Offload Unused Apps" to save storage space. Sometimes this can cause apps to disappear from the home screen if the system thinks they aren't frequently used. - Go to "Settings" > "General" > "iPhone Storage" (or "iPad Storage"). - Find the "Enable/Disable Offload Unused Apps" option and toggle it off if it's on. 6. **Restart Your Device**: If you haven't already, try a simple restart: - Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and either volume button until the power off slider appears. - Drag the slider, then wait a few moments for your device to turn off. - Turn your iPad back on by pressing and holding the Sleep/Wake button until you see the Apple logo. 7. **Force Restart**: - Quickly press and release the Volume Up button. - Quickly press and release the Volume Down button. - Press and hold the Power button until the Apple logo appears. 8. **Check Storage**: Sometimes if your device is nearly full, it can cause unexpected behaviors. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "iPad Storage" and ensure you have some free space available. 9. **Restore from Backup**: - If the issue persists, consider restoring your iPad from a backup using iCloud or iTunes. This can sometimes resolve persistent glitches. 10. **Factory Reset**: - As a last resort, you might consider resetting your iPad to its factory settings. This will erase all data on the device, so make sure to backup first. - Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Reset" > "Erase All Content and Settings". Set up your iPad as new, then restore from your backup. If none of the above solutions work, it's possible there could be a more specific software glitch or even a hardware issue related to your iPad Pro. Consider reaching out to Apple Support or visiting an Apple Store for further assistance.
Hey, thank you, this was helpful. But I was looking a way to arrange icons freely like in android. In android, you can space them as you like, there can be only one icon in the middle of the screen for example. Is this possible?
I don't think that's possible on the iPad unless you "hack" something together... for example, make the background black, then make many black bookmarks (so that they are invisible) except the icon you like to see.
this tablet dont need to much power because its really smooth now as a computer but i shouldn't compare them to the tablet because other people saying computer is more superior than apple tablet but thats theirs opinions and not mine
I liked my own comment

@@cburgdorfer Thank you for kind and most informative reply. I will start pursuing your suggestions.
Do you mind telling me how to get the apps to wiggle and move them around? It doesn’t do that for me..
Sure, just hold an icon for long until it starts to wiggle.
