Question mark hook kick when?
Live the show. Wish I was there.
can you do an episode on how he parries low kicks to the front foot in that position? also his low kick game
What if I don't?
"Have you tried being a world class athlete?" Is going to be my new go to answer for anyone asking me any martial arts question.
Haha yup, I mean it would help I’d imagine! Lol
That line was awesome! Classic Icy Mike.
T-shirt worthy.
It was a pretty insightful remark. Knowing the technique isn't enough, your body must be able to perform too. Then it becomes a question of mobility (flexibility + strength).
Facts! Haha
And this is me trying my absolute hardest not to insert myself...
Hahaha you lasted a solid 45 seconds
Probably not usual..

Honestly I was impressed with your restraint.
Oh man! Wonderboy, Seth, and Mike!!

Goddammit time to go train...
When Mike appeared I was like “YOOOOO”. Avengers level crossover. We need Jesse STAT.
"ur hamstring is enough to get a point, but it's not enough to make a point" Absolute gem 👌🏽🤣
Having trained and taught believers and unbelievers, I love how Thompson Low key asserts his capability while remaining unstintingly polite. It's the same Outlook that I think pertains to his technique when fighting. He approaches the conflict expecting stalwart opposition and has resolved himself towards it's resolutions and exchanges.
It's cool to see hours and hours of dedication and work and instruction so revealed even amongst the highest echelons of competitors.
Os
He’s a dope dude, great representation of martial arts!

Even the way Wonderboy said that quote was epic
Wonderboy AND icy mike?! Really bringing the Sensei Seth Cinematic Universe together
I honestly stopped watching Marvel long ago.
An Elite fighter who is the conqueror of the combat world...
And Seth and Wonderboy.
Nice
Remember when sensei Seth rank the hook kick as C tier. Pepperidge farm remember.

Legit though, Sensei Seth's first attempts after Wonderboy's pointers were awesome, you could see a massive difference in power straight away 😎👌
Great video fellas 💪
Man seeing mike with wonder boy is awesome. Can’t wait to see where this goes. Awesome content man.

I love how icyM is there just to explain everything better 😂😂
"What is the secret of his power". I see what you did there!
Absolutely freakin stoked to see the rest of the content you guys make together!! I have my own theory, us Carolina boys just naturally take to kickin' like a duck to water. Long before Karate, Taekwondo or Muay Thai taught me how to kick correctly I was a gangly, lanky middle schooler that couldn't throw a punch but could throw a flying side kick lol
Thank you sensei now I can rip off peoples head with my hook kick 😂😂😂😂
Be the next RPHOMF! 😂😂
@@SenseiSeth Sure
❤️ this team right here. You guys are so funny, I laugh every time. Great content as well, I never learned the hook kick, now I'm going to learn it.
I do like that saying: Its better to be a warrior in the garden than a gardener in a war.
Great video! Best advice I’ve ever heard for improving the hook kick. Icy Mike also wins the internet today with the “world class athlete” remark.
Oh heck yeah this I’ve been waiting for
That was very interesting and informative. I had never seen anyone mention pulling their head like that to get the power. It really makes sense for karate guys, the push/pull ying/yang theory. Great video guys.
Two very talented sensei exchanging ideas, Seth, I love he trying to improve his technique, hook kick is awesome and deadly. Wonderboy, Seth and Icy Mike learning from each other.
So I’m orthodox fighter who likes to use sidekicks more than jabs And I’ve been throwing them since I was nine but after making adjustments from watching Wonder boy’s Side kick video my sidekick I would like to say tripled in power. Within the first four minutes of this video after learning just a little bit I tried it on my door (it’s opened), it’s pretty sturdy I tried it on my door slam shut for the first time in all my years of trying hook kick on doors As a means of condition in my heel but I have never ever slam the door shut so hard That it shook a lil even after it was closed. This is the second kick He made me Triple in power; now I’m very convinced he might be the best kicker in the world.
Nice, love the collaboration with you guys! Good instruction WB!
For real man. This is why he's the Wonderboy. That is so slick and difficult to see coming.
Thank you Wonderboy for once again bringing some love to the most injusticed kick! And I love how Mike is in the video basically just to shitpost occasionaly lol
I'm binge watching your stuff today.
This trio is awesome!
Oh this video is gonna be good😁😁
Love these collaborations!🥋👏🥊🔥💪😁
This is just the beginning!
That was awesome!!! Love the humor. At my school I was always taught to throw it like how Sensei Seth described, Off to the side and then hook it around. We also are taught to chamber the knee all the way to your chest and then explosively extend the leg to get maximum power.
warrior in the garden
noy a gardener in the war
that was a great quote!
The best martial arts youtubers in one video this is insane
Uh, a new Wonderboy collaboration
Nice... MIKE! AWESOME!
Sensei Seth!! When you said "your hamstring is good enough to get a point, but not good enough to make a point"... I just immediately had to comment. FIRE advice.
so helpful nice job!
Going to try that straight leg hook kick now. Thanks so much for this video, I always threw it with the bent knee also. I'd love to be able to do it with power
Fantastic content! Thanks for the tips!
Thanks Robert!
Oooh buddy, Andy Hug hook kick to the thigh is muh jam. Awesome video.
The extending the head thing really reminds me of Joe Rogan's (spinning) back kick technique. I have also seen similar teachings in some Chinese sword techniques. Very insteresting!
Another banger!
Thank you!!
Bro! Your content and production is getting better and better. Congratulations on another great video.
Thanks Michal!
Oh god! I'm really looking forward to the next hard2hurt video now. Run Stephen! He brought whips!
Hahaha
One of my all time favorite kicks!
Love you guys so much omfg
I needed this. My hook kicks are super weak XD

****MASTER CLASS****
Nice 👍🏽. & as always hook kicks FTW.
Though I’m a fan of the crescent 🌙.
One of my favorite kick 😁🤘
Levels are wild. I watch Seth and think “Damn, so much more leg/hip dexterity than me.” Then seeing him totally outclassed just proves the whole “levels” thing.
I caught one of these in the back, in the ribs, once. I had trouble taking a full breath for weeks!
I was just working on my hook kicks the other day. Perfect timing.
Crazy to me that Wonderboy is so down to earth. Justin hanging out with some of my favorite youtubers while becoming one of my favorite youtubers while already being one of my favorite pro fighters.
I love my hook kicks to the liver. When sparring partners don’t expect it😂
Great group right here! 👊😎👑😁💪🙏 It might seem weird but I have the impression that with age Wonderboy is going to turn into a Bill 'Superfoot' Wallace or Benny 'the Jet' Urquidez type of character. An elderly badass who is a really nice and generous guy at the same time. 😄❤️ Best wishes to you guys! Stay healthy, stay strong! 🙏
I watch a lot of martial arts RUclipsrs, but this right here is my three favorites for sure.
let’s gooo
I have some gear in storage some where signed from Superfoot! He came to my dojo growing up and taught the class. Was one of the coolest experiences I’ve ever had.
As a kid growing up, I didn't watch any sport karate or point fighting. What I DID do... was relentlessly imitate everything I saw in the Tekken series. Seeing a hook kick blast someone off their feet (and in a manner that simply couldn't be replicated in movies of the time) basically inspired me to throw that thing with as much force, violence, and balance as possible. Since I was a dumb kid, the lack of realism was a non-issue. Being young, super flexible, and incredibly naive allowed me to aspire towards impossible things, which ended up giving me a pretty rockin' set of kicks by the time I reached adulthood.
I loved mike's incredulity.
I was literally just thinking about how to get more power on this kick and boom, you have a video on it. Wonderboy is such a good dude spreading all his knowledge so freely. Great video.
I read minds, sorry for invading your space
@@SenseiSeth in this case, I appreciate 😂
Man, icy mike is one of the best teachers i've seen.
Martial arts advice i didnt know i needed
That’s what I’m here for
Can't believe this... S Seth looked like a gen Tkd practionner first time ha applies the advice on gluts. Nice job
The most ambitious crossover ever
would love to see a longer video with some more content with wonderboy and yourself going through favourite techniques and things
Would be fun!
Thanks for giving me something to work up
I love watching Stephen Wonder boy Thompson. He is a true champion, both in the ring and out. However I would not say he is one of the greatest kickers of all martial artists.
Awesome Video!
The warrior in the garden/gardener in the war saying is from Miyamoto Musashi I believe.
It’s a great saying!!.... just didn’t apply here lol
Heard that for the first time on Timcast from a fella who goes by Hotep Jesus.
I learned it like a half-hearted round kick, which you then immediately snap backwards in the opposite direction, pivoting twice on the ball of the foot.
As for power, there's not really much in the way of technique, you just man up and fuckin rip it. "How do I hit harder?" "You just...hit harder...what do you mean 'how do it hit harder?'"
I love how Mike is just shitposting in the background 😂
Nice!
awesome clip and tutorial.
A little off-topic but speaking of being able to attack people from 3 direction for anyone who likes a square stance I highly recommend learning a rear leg hook kick, almost nobody ever sees it coming and it hits like a truck
(From a square stance you'd (I'd) throw a slightly offset front kick then rotate your whole body in to a bladed position and hook kick at the last second, it's super awkward at first but once you get it it's faster than a roundhouse in my personal experience)
“Enough to get a point, but not enough to make a point” is such a cool phrase.
😂🙏
lol, icy mike's disapproving face in the thumbnail 😄
Another enjoyable video
Thanks Pete!
"Cry in the gym, laugh on the battlefield"

Talking about hook kick, Uriah Hall spinning hook kick KO his opponents.
Love it.
