I miss Anthony Bourdain so much, he was and still is such a source of inspiration for me and I’m not even that into food. Just his way of thinking was really interesting and profound
im not too much into mukbang/food review channels, But BenDeen has really caught my attention with his table manners and chill personality, easily becoming one of my favorite youtubers this year
I'm visiting Seoul currently!! My first full day in this magnificent city - loving the food and culture! I also worshipped Anthony Bourdain's ability to connect with anyone and any culture. He made the idea of traveling to different countries, even where you didn't speak the language, seem less intimidating. The FOOD and Drink wherever you travel makes a special connection to its people. South Korea is my 38 country visited- I love meeting and learning about people. Sat beside a Monk who was from Vietnam on my flight to Seoul, made time fly by, it was wonderful, great conversation. I'll be flying to Vietnam in 4 days! Goal is to have a Banh Mi every single day for lunch. I'll have to look for this place you speak of. Before I fly back home to OH Canada 🇨🇦
Anybody who is into food at all is obsessed with Bourdain and mourn his loss and he gave so much I watched him from the beginning I read all his books I was crushed when he left us I respect this…alot
Loved Bourdain. Blows you away that he seemingly had a perfect life, the freedom to travel anywhere, eat the very best.. None of it matters if you aren't happy. Hope you're happy Ben Deen
Anthony was a huge fan of Vietnam food. I do prefer South East Asian cuisine (Vietnam/Thailand) over Chinese. As Deen said, there's an herbaceous nature to the cuisine not seen in many other countries. Fresh vegetables stir fried to perfection with some amazing spicy tang sauce. It just hits the spot. Feels healthy to eat and tastes good (a rare combo). They're actually getting more popular here in the US as well. Good to see.
Don’t worry about the rooftop balcony video in Vietnam I think it was great we all loved seeing the change up the scenery and the camera angles and it was noisy but those of us who grew up in big cities kind of like feel comforted by the construction noise I know that sounds weird but we all loved it so you did good
I love your ability to analyze all aspects of a possible feeling. It really allowed the viewer to believe your review opposed to wondering if they may have been tainted by the touch of a celebrity. A modern Anthony Bourdain without a doubt
I love anyone who enjoys food like you, but loving Bourdain just takes it to a whole new level for me. I love and miss that dude. He just made it enjoyable to sit back, enjoy life, have some beers, try some new good, enjoy a good conversation, and so on. Damn I love that guy.
Ben - I would love to see you eat all the different types of Banh Mi's: Xiu Mai, Eggs (breakfast), Beef, Chicken, etc.. My absolute favorite is the pork one, but there are so many others that are also delicious.
Food is the one thing that always opens minds and crushes prejudices. There are so many amazing cultures with so many amazing foods and it just makes you realize how similar we all are
If there’s anyone who has to ask you who Anthony Bourdain is!? they need to NOT ask who Bourdain was. When I got a library card for the first time since I was a child back in 2014 the first book I took out was kitchen confidential because I mean I’ve watched every single episode of every single show multiple times every channel that he had every series that he had I mean he was iconic and honest and raw and real. RIP

I miss him to he made me want to try things so different from my upbringing and really just inspired me to cook at home and love experimenting with new food and culture
Man... Ben Deen can really express his love for food. Seeing him chew on some Banh Mi with his eyes closed though... You can just tell it hits different.
Awesome Ben . I enjoyed your Vietnam posts and am also a Bourdaine fan. Read kitchen confidential and watched his various shows over the years. Amazing you get back and find that sandwich in Soeul ! Your channeling buddy
You know it's good when it takes you to a different dimension. I'm high as fuck right now at 5 in the night and I want one of them goddamn gimme 2, one for now and one for right after. Glad you enjoyed you trip, food looked great too.
These back to back banh mi videos have been some of my favorite Ben Deen videos. He seems so pensive, like he has a lot on his mind. I like videos where the food he eats has a story, like the pizza he used to eat everyday when he was dirt poor.
Thanks for the video, Ben. Bourdain was a legend. RIP Anthony. And besides the Thai food, Vietnamese food is so fresh and full of veggies. Love that food as well.
Anthony Bourdain is one of my core inspirations. And I went to that Banh Mi shop...but then it said closed. Missed out on it. So sad, but picked up another banh mi nearby.
@@MtpMuzik he eats everything by the books and never investigates further bendean is one of the best reviewers and over, i just want to call him and talker, but he def has nothing to do with ratings

That banh mi looks pretty great. Anthony Bourdain left a substantial legacy that can never be erased. We all look forward to your food reviews, Ben. You really put in a lot of effort in all of your other videos apart from this one.
Vietnam was literally Anthony Bourdain's favorite place on earth. RIP to the Legend himself.
