    Really thorough video, nice. One correction not a criticism - 10:51 that rear sprocket is a 51 tooth not a 49, I can see it on the smaller stamped letters. The C49 refers to Rockwell C49 which is hardness specification of the steel.

      Thank you for the heads up. I can see what you are saying there and now makes more sense why Adams bike has more low end torque.

    My biggest complaint is the small gas tank. I'm looking to increase to the 3 gallon tank or add the rotopack or small bottles in "side tank" storage pouches. I noticed you didn't mention a larger tank --- yet. I'm sure you've run into this issue as well. What's your opinion on more capacity. The price of bigger tanks has increased so much in the past couple of years, it's kind of ridiculous. I've been running in the mark twain national forest in southern Missouri and Arkansas and gas access can be sketchy. BTW- great tip on softening the suspension. I hadn't given it much thought until i ran across your video! ------HEY EVERYONE- if you ride your factory seat more- It will soften up just like the expensive seat concepts one- LOL. It just takes a little (lot of) saddle time. Great content- wish I'd seen it sooner.

      I agree with the gas tank size. I ended up upgrading mine and I know it was on Adams bucket list to do as well. Below is the video link I made on doing the ims 3.0 tank if you wanted to check it out ruclips.net/video/zncflOtCpw8/видео.htmlsi=QanQhia-7wzCOzVI

    Silver primer paint works surprisingly well for touching up the front of the frame. Not factory, but good enough for a busy bike. :)

    Hey Joel and Adam, another great video! You put out some nice quality videos with good sound and lighting and you’re both very good at explaining what you’re doing, whether it’s technical or just out having fun on the bikes.
    I just bought a 2015 WR250R about a month ago, with only 140 miles on it, so I’m looking to do many of the modifications you’ve already done. I’ve got the G2 throttle tamer and seat concepts tall seat ordered, I’ve lowered my footpegs 1 inch with Knight Designs pegs, because I’m 6‘11“ tall and need to make the bike fit me better.
    I’ve got a few questions for you: can you tell me why you’re keeping your passenger pegs on the bike? Seems like a little bit of weight that you could lose as you’re probably not carrying passengers. Is the Flatland racing radiator guard considered a brace? I think it is but just want to check. The only thing I don’t like about the bike is the twitchy throttle so I’ll soon see how much of that issue is fixed with just the G2 throttle tamer. You had all those other engine modifications, can you give me some idea what percentage of the twitchy problem will be fixed with just the throttle tamer install? Is correcting the twitchy throttle really an incremental fix with all the engine mod items you listed?
    I live in Bellevue, Washington, so I’ll probably make a trip down to Mosko Moto to pick up the tank bag and possibly some panniers over Xmas break. Keep up the great work guys, I really appreciate your clear, relaxed and informative presentation style!

    • @joelwallisadv
      @joelwallisadv  2 года назад

      Thank you Karl for the awesome feedback on my videos and congrats on your new WR!! That is ultra low mileage, pretty much a brand new bike there! I know that Adam left his rear passenger pegs on as his wife will sometimes ride with him. I left mine on incase I ever do have a back passenger. I have had times where I needed to give someone a ride so I just left them there. Don't think they weigh enough to be concerned in my case but could see where they could get in the way or if someone wanted more of a dirt bike look.
      The Flatlands Racing guard could be considered as a brace as it mounts between the frame and the radiator itself but if you were to have a crash or impact there it still could be effected as it is made out of aluminum.
      The G2 throttle tamer will reduce the twitchiness about 60% but when combined with the EJK programmer it will be a 100% fix.
      That is awesome that you are close to Mosko Moto. I believe Adam has gone over to them but I still need to make a trip over there. They have excellent customer service, knowledgable, and willing to spend the time helping with recommending luggage for your specific bike.
      Thank you again and happy riding! Cheers!

    Nice work Adam. If I am not mistaken, an unedited one continuous shoot on that tour. Talent! Dude that bike is so pimp, completely set up for you. Impressive all the work done to it. I am totally getting D 605s when I burn through existing tires. Thank you again for that tip. And yeah, I am slowly coming around to the windshield idea and not just laughing at it. So question, if you have 4 roaring USB and aftermarket lights, are you overtaxing the electric bus or alternator? Joel pretty sure I know exactly where you live. Walked by there a lot when we lived in Mill Creek. I recognize the place on the corner.

    • @joelwallisadv
      @joelwallisadv  2 года назад

      He is slowly converting us lol. I am in the same boat D605's and fairing next. To my understanding the bike can output quite a bit so he should have no issues with the 4usb @adamcarbary.Oh crazy yep over by the town center there.

    Hey Joel and Adam,
    I just received my Pico tank bag and Fatty tool roll and was wondering if you just mounted the Pico right on top of the OEM gas cap, or if you put something else around the gas cap, as a kind of large gasket to make the surface the tank bag sits on flatter, instead of just setting it directly on the gas cap.
    Thanks for your help!

    • @joelwallisadv
      @joelwallisadv  2 года назад

      Hi Karl, the Pico tank bag will lay across your gas cap. It will have a slight bump from the gas cap but doesn’t cause any issues.

    Did the fairing and windshield negatively affect handling? How is the buffeting and wind noise? I've heard mixed reviews about them but I like the idea of the dash and having some wind protection on the road.

    • @joelwallisadv
      @joelwallisadv  2 года назад +1

      I have zero complaints about this fairing and would never go back to stock for the type of riding I do. Here is a road test video I did on the pavement and freeway with the fairing if you wanted to check it out ruclips.net/video/coTm0tVQfpo/видео.html

    • @michelt4390
      @michelt4390 Год назад +1

      We have the same fairing on our WR250R's... Probably the best purchase we've made for the bike.
      - No real issue with buffering... except maybe when wearing a MX helmet and the shield halfway up... kind of feels funny.
      - We usually always run them in the down position, unless it's pouring rain and/or freezing cold.
      - It provides plenty of wind protection, even when standing on the pegs.

    Was looking at a wr250r or crf250/300l…. I can’t even imagine what a waste of money that would have been, get a Drz400 or dr650. This things not a “adventure bike” or dual sport. It’s a weak dirt bike that’s barely street legal. I feel bad for riders that made the mistake getting this instead of a dr650 or drz400. The power of the dr and drz once uncorked is insane. This is a scooter that is horrible to ride on the street or highway and has weak power.

      Hey, I have one! I also have a big 1250, which I also love. I love this bike and I completely get why owning this bike is fun. It goes forever and great to have zero worries about reliability and maintenance. Not a waste of money if you enjoy doing it and love the bike. Everyone gets to enjoy what they like.

      @michelt4390 Год назад +1

      To each their own, I guess.
      - We've done the KLR650 things, and the F800GS things... and for the last few years (as it been a decade already?) we've been scooting on WR250R. They do just fine on country roads and they do just fine on logging roads and ATV.
      A riding buddy has a DRZ (that's been modded with new carbs and the whole shabang), Yes, it's nice... But nothing to get excited about.
      If someone wants dirt performance, just go for Crf450l or a KTM 500exc... for some dirt and paved road performance... the F800GS is hard to beat.
