Gotta say, you've completely sold me on the WR250R, it'd be just the perfect bike (for me). Just enough power to make it interesting, can-do-mentality and perfect allrounder. Something to just have fun on and not be terrified of it all the time. Now if Yamaha would just sell it around here, lol =/
Also, epic videos! I've watched the desert adventures a couple of times, and I'm hoping this will be as interesting, especially since it's on a WR.
Something I like about your videos tom is, there's no annoying 20 second long dubstep intro thing.. it's just "how's it going gents?" Love it.

Saw that you had a ktm 690 before. Did you ever have a video comparing that to the wr250r? If not do you think the 250 is better for this type of riding or do you wish you had the 690 still?
+RidingWithTom How long did it take your leg to get back to 100%? I got my own tib/fib compound fracture on April the 28th of this year and I'm just now feeling like I can start hobbling without a walker. Lowsided in the rain and my left leg caught a guardrail post.
It honestly takes about a year to get to like 95% I don’t think mine will ever get to 100%. I was riding again about 3 weeks after my accident, walking around 2 months after.
So much bloody dilly dallying we never got to see you cut into that juicy scotch filet.

Love the videos mate. So you had a GS and bought a WR? I have a GS and a WR. I’m selling the GS cause I found the WR to do the same as the GS, even more when it comes to off-road.
+RidingWithTom What are your thoughts on some of the new dual sport/adv bikes coming out? Like the Tenere 700, 790 AdvR, CRF450L.. I know you say your happy with the WRR for now but you do tend to change bikes often.
crf450l is most defs not an adventure bike, tenere 700 I will be looking at very closely but my bets are its gonna be close to 200kg
I did say dual sport/adv.450L could be a good replacement for the WRR, if the tenere 700 is close to 200kg will you still be keen?
doesnt matter how many biks tom bought and sold, the 250r will always stay

I get about 6000km out of a rear and probably 10,000km out of a front, Dunlop d606's

I get 2000-2500kms from a rear MT21 & 5000kms from the front MT21 both on my WR250R & I don't do much black top
