    I flew a x-country in NE Ohio that day, beautiful weather! Come see us at 15G sometime.

    Thanks for the video Mike - still happy with the turbo? Just purchased the mount for mine. :-)

    Nice Airplane. Nice skills. Maybe it was the camera lens...but that approaches looked flat (low)... I was cringing in my chair...lol

      Thanks, I think! I agree with you; I fly corporate jets for a living and fly my Waiex more like them than I probably should! I’m always big on stabilized approaches, but with the large and effective flaps on the Waiex, I could certainly afford to come in a little higher. I’ll work on that!!

      Michael Farley ok. I totally understand. I flew DC-9’s and other jets. I totally get it. I just watched the Sonex Jet Version. Sonex is a great design.

      Grey Ghost I sure love my Waiex!! Great little airplane that’s a blast to fly! I wish I could afford a Sonex Jet that has to be the ultimate Walter Mitty fantasy!

    Why the long, drawn out approach?
    I know, everybody does it now.....

    Our runway is 1500ft. I need at least as much short field capacity as our 152s get!

    Happy New Year 2017! What is the highest altitude that the aerovee turbo can pull at least sea level pressure? Thanks, great videos.

      There are guys that have gone up to 15,000 feet - not sure if that was naturally aspirated or turbo though

    In the video it seams longer than a Cessna152... tell me please 😳

    interested in some b model with ul engine should be a huge upgrade! ul is a fadec engine ,130 hp,fuel injected should be much better than sonex,s,s vw clone!

      I'm sure that will be an excellent airplane! Given my budget, I'm more than happy with my turbo AeroVee, but if I could afford $20K+, I'd be looking at the UL options!

    500 to 600 feet for a turbo charged engine is not anywhere STOL performance. So, for high altitude cruising that is great.

    • @Ichibuns
      @Ichibuns 4 года назад

      For its cruise performance, it really is an absolutely amazing number. I still agree. I wouldn't call it STOL.

    I am afraid of the turbo vee. Ask Jerimey what he think about it. I will hold off six months for the U.L.

    • @114mohe
      @114mohe 4 года назад +3

      Per FAA Jeremys crash was pilot error, Aero vee is fine.

      @@114mohe he hit the fuel valve with his feet. Check the accident report
