Thank you, Jennifer, for this wonderful video! I started to sublimate my first T- shirt since getting an Epson printer for Christmas, and realized that I didn't know the correct temperature or time! I knew if I found a video you made, my questions would be answered in a succinct manner! I appreciate you!
Thank you Jennifer. I can always depend on you to give simple and direct instructions. I follow your instructions using my epson 2803 the second time I viewed your video. First I did a test print on a piece of polyester fabric. Then on to my polyester shirt. It came out perfect. I am a beginner trying to navigate how to use my cricut machine and understand sublimation. I have hope now and inspired to keep learning and growing. Thank you again for all of your videos.
Thank you for the tutorial. I've been sublimating for a little while. I love that you fold the shirt and paper to get the center. That has always been my biggest problem. I'll be using that method from now on.
Hi Jennifer. I am in Australia and my Epson ET-1810 does not have all the features you are showing in the system dialogue when I go to use the print options you are saying to use. 😢 Is there away around this problem so I can get good quality pictures to print out. I have done a few slate frames and the quality is not very good sadly 😢 I am using a laptop and google docs. Thank you for all these amazing tutorials. Xx
Thanks for all the information you included I am new to this and search for videos to help me get started before I start because i do not want to waste material or time trying it all on my own. THANK YOU !!!
This is a great video the problem I ran into was the printing. I selected file and then print and the file was automatically downloaded to my Mac book pro. I was not able to adjust any of the printer settings in either google docs or on the Mac book and am unsure what to do. I have watch videos on how to flip and image on google docs and I do not have the action bottoms that others seem to have. Does anyone have suggestions? Thanks a bunch!
Thank you for this wonderful tutorial.- But I am unable to select all the options for printing. I am using a Mac, and have an Epson ET-2800. The "Media Type" does not give me "Presentation Paper Matte" as an option, so I selected "Photo Matte Paper" and which automatically changed the "Print Quality" to "best". AND "Print Settings" does not have "Color Sync" as a printer option. Do I need to go back and find your Printer Setup Videos first - and set up my ICC printer profile first?
I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful. Based on the context provided, here are a few steps you can try: Media Type Selection: Since "Presentation Paper Matte" is not available, selecting "Photo Matte Paper" is a good alternative. This should work well for your project. Print Quality: It's great that the "Print Quality" automatically changed to "best" when you selected "Photo Matte Paper." This should help you achieve vibrant colors and avoid issues like banding. Color Sync Option: If "Color Sync" is not available in your "Print Settings," it might be related to the specific printer model or the driver installed on your Mac. ICC Printer Profile: Setting up your ICC printer profile can indeed help with color accuracy. If you haven't done this yet, it might be beneficial to go back and watch the Printer Setup Videos to ensure your printer is configured correctly. By setting up the ICC profile, you can ensure that the colors you see on your screen match the printed output more closely. This step is particularly important for projects requiring precise color matching.
@@JenniferMaker Thank you. I did not set up my ICC profile yet but was able to print (not changing the paper type) and choosing "best" quality. Hi Jennifer, I have what will probably seem a silly question, but it concerns me. I would think that the tape applied to hold the print down while pressing would leave some trace of adhesive on the T shirt. Can you please advise on this for me. Thank you.
I am using a Epson ET4800 printer, I did the setup and added Hiipoo ink. However I do not have several of the options when I try to print, even when I click on the print using system dialog. The video is awesome and I can't wait to get started, once I get past this issue.
It's likely due to incorrect paper type settings in your printer driver, which might not be recognizing the full range of paper options available with third-party ink; try updating your printer driver, resetting the printer settings, and manually selecting the correct paper type in your print settings to resolve this issue.

If you are experiencing limitations when selecting color options for your Epson SureColor F170 printer, it may be due to various reasons, including settings within the printer driver, software configuration, or compatibility issues. Thank you so much for the thorough tutorial! ❤ Question: my Epson ET-2850 does not have any option for Presentation Paper Matte. The only Matte is Photo Matte Paper. Is that what I choose? The choices are: Auto-Select; Envelope; Photo; Photo Glossy Paper; Photo High Gloss Paper; Photo Matte Paper; Photo Semi-Gloss Paper; Plain Paper; Coated Paper; Letterhead. Thank you for the GREAT instructions on how to sublimate! Quick question... I have the yellowish-brown heat-resistance tape already. Do I have to use the clear tape due to the yellow from the tape staining the fabric? Just trying to prevent headaches later :) Thanks!
Hi Jennifer, I was watching your video of the sublimation t shirt and I was thinking of using a Cricut t shirt of 2 tones of Gray that my husband wanted but I didn't understand the temperature cricut suggested. I don't know if the sublimation paper you recommended is good for that ( A-Sub) 125 G. Let me know, please.
I have a couple of questions... - How long after sublimation on shirt or mugs should one wait to wash? - Do you only have to worry about the fading in the lesser polyester blends after 1st wash, or will they continue to fade after every wash?
Here is what it says for google docs. Use the menu Add-ons->SetImageSize->show sidebar to activate. Then select an image in your document and select "get size" in the sidebar. I'm very new but loving sublimation. I have a WF 7720 that I converted (and it works perfectly). But when printing, I don't see Paper Type, Layout, Media Type in any of my options for More Settings or Print Using System Dialogs. I have Quality set to High. Advise?
thank you for the detailed information. when I open google docs or cricut I do not see my hiipoo ic profile in either program. I do see it in gimp. so I know it's there. can you advise on how to resole the issue please
Hello, thank you for your explanation , I just started doing tshirts and mine always comes up looking ghosted. I used a black 60% cotton and 40% polyester
I have the epson 2720 printer that takes a 8.5" paper. at times want to sub a larger t shirt that needs a wider image to fill the front of the shirt otherwise the image looks too small, besides buying another printer any suggestions to do this project? Thanks in advance.
I don't know if I missed it or heard the statement incorrectly. The sublimation printer is a whole other printer from a typical printer. So you would have your typical printer used to print research papers etc, and a sublimation printer is used specifically for the purpose of making sublimation tshirts or other items. Thank You! I bought a Cricut several years ago. For reasons outside my control the box has never been opened. I believe it is a Cricut Air 2. Will it still be useful? Totally out dated?
Thanks for the easy to follow instructions, first time I see your videos. Love your clear and straight to the point instructions! I never done any sublimation yet. I was trying to figure out what I need to start and buy. I would like to start small business.
Thank you so much for your wonderful instructions! You are always my go to when learning a new craft or system. I do have one question, how do I find the options to change my printer settings? When I click use system dialog, I don't get the same options.

@@JenniferMaker I bought an Epson printer like the one that you have, but I bought it used. It has ink in it already. Is there a way to get that ink out to put sublimation ink in there? Or is it possible that the ink in there is sublimation ink?
I don't know what im doing wrong but the print for google doc wants me to save it to my computer to print. the box that shows up for you doesn't pop up for me. any idea what I did wrong? I did step by step too. trying to make a x-large shirt. also Im using a Mac if that makes any difference.

Really enjoyed watching and learning. I was able to follow each step and completed my first 3 t-shirts. My only questions are: where is the best placement for a women's v neck and how to edit and image to fit 8.5 x 14 paper. Also, any suggestions on how to print images larger than my 9x9 easy press. Thank you again for your tutorials.
I was watching a video from someone else and they said not to get the Epson because the sublimation ink will ruin it's jets and since the warranty will be ruined, you won't be able to get it fixed. Anyone know if that is accurate? My daughter wants to start crafting.

When i click print using system dialog i dont get the same pop up box with more settings like i see you getting ive tried everything im just getting a box with preferences pop up
Hi can you tell me why the sides of my Tshirt comes out yellow when I sublimate it? Is it because I used a cotton Tshirt the only kind I had on hand. I’m using a hand press
It sounds like the yellowing on the sides of your T-shirt during sublimation could be due to a few factors. Overheating can cause slight discoloration. Make sure you are not pressing the same area for too long or at too high a temperature. Try decreasing your temperature by about 10 degrees Fahrenheit to see if that helps. Cotton shirts can be more challenging to sublimate compared to polyester. Sublimation works best on polyester fabrics. If you are using cotton, you might need to add another substrate or surface to the fabric before sublimating. Ensure that you are pressing evenly and not overlapping too much. Overlapping can cause uneven heating and potential discoloration. Make sure to use butcher paper to protect the areas you are not pressing and to avoid any ink transfer that could cause yellowing.

When you get those, it is sometimes helpful to use a damp cloth to gently rub across the areas
by cardstock paper do you mean butcher paper or it can be any regular printer paper or parchment paper?
You can use plain white card stock.
I love this thank you I’m a beginner here. Question can you use a different color shirt besides white.?
You can use other light colors but sublimation it could change the colors a bit because it fuses into the fabric with a high polyester count.

I have a couple of questions...
- How long after sublimation on shirt or mugs should one wait to wash?

Use the menu Add-ons->SetImageSize->show sidebar to activate. Then select an image in your document and select "get size" in the sidebar. Now change the size to your liking, then select 'Apply' to make the change. workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/setimagesize/222949584385#
Hi if pressing useing celsius at 196 degrees for how long ,? How many seconds please thank u.
The press time would be the same. 196 celsius is 385 degrees. The time will remain the same.
I'm very new but loving sublimation. I have a WF 7720 that I converted (and it works perfectly). But when printing, I don't see Paper Type, Layout, Media Type in any of my options for More Settings or Print Using System Dialogs. I have Quality set to High. Advise?
You can get more help with your WF 7720 in my group. That may be a different printer profile than mine. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
thank you for the detailed information. when I open google docs or cricut I do not see my hiipoo ic profile in either program. I do see it in gimp. so I know it's there. can you advise on how to resole the issue please
I need more information to help. You can ask this question in my group. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Hi, do you have a video for sublimating on dark polyester t-shirts?
Here is this one. jennifermaker.com/how-to-sublimate-on-cotton/
Love this video. I ordered a Sawgrass 500 and can't wait for it to arrive.
Hope you enjoy it!
Thank you for the tutorial. I love the t-shirt guide you created. I definitely will be using them!
You're so welcome! 🌸
I have an Epson 2803 eco tank with hippo sub ink. I’ll have to test it out on cotton blend shirts.
You'll want to use as much polyester as possible for the best outcome.💗
@@JenniferMaker ok I will need to buy a few.
And this process can be done on mugs correct?
Is it a must that I use a sublimation spray before sublimation?
No, there are other options for sublimation on cotton and dark fabrics. jennifermaker.com/sublimate-dark-shirts/
Nice job, but how you print text opposite way that after on T-shirt the text shows correct, I hope that you understand what I mean?
To print text in a way that it appears correctly on a T-shirt after sublimation, you need to mirror the design before printing.
Hello, thank you for your explanation , I just started doing tshirts and mine always comes up looking ghosted. I used a black 60% cotton and 40% polyester
Practice makes perfect! ❤️
Wow what an underrated channel,
Subbed for sure. Thank i took note of everything im ready to start, thank you!
Welcome aboard!🥰
@@JenniferMaker question can u re-use the white board paper that u put under the design when pressing?
Hi! thanks for the video. Just one question: what´s butch paper? I´m trying to find the spanish word for it, but can´t find it. Can you help me?
Butcher paper is thicker than parchment but has the same non stick coating.
I have the epson 2720 printer that takes a 8.5" paper. at times want to sub a larger t shirt that needs a wider image to fill the front of the shirt otherwise the image looks too small, besides buying another printer any suggestions to do this project? Thanks in advance.
Check out jennifermaker.com/how-to-sublimate-large-designs 😊🌻
What do you think about the cotton sublimation spray? Have you tried it?
I use it in this tutorial. jennifermaker.com/how-to-sublimate-on-cotton/
Can we order prints from you? I am printing on the back of shirts…do the sizes still transfer to the back?
Everything in my library is free for you to use. jennifermaker.com/resource-library/
this is such an awesome and informative video you seem like such a sweet human being thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
What model is your epson printer?
Thank you Jennifer your video are the greatest and Thank you for the help
My pleasure!
You are a wonderful instructor! Thank you for your amazing video.
Thank you, I'm so glad you enjoy my videos! 💗
Totally out dated?
yes, you are correct! You need separate printers. You can totally still use your machine if it is an Air 2! 🥰
Im just looking at ur video now n all i love is ur hands n fingers they are so so kuch cute n beautiful just like baby hands. ❤❤❤❤
Thank you! Some videos are my hands and other videos are my design fairies hands.
This was so informative thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the easy to follow instructions, first time I see your videos. Love your clear and straight to the point instructions! I never done any sublimation yet. I was trying to figure out what I need to start and buy. I would like to start small business.
That is a great idea! I am glad that you're able to learn through my videos! 🌸
My printer setting for google docs does not show everything that yours does in the video. What can I do to fix it?
What isn't showing?🥰
Best tutorial 💥💥
How do you create the backgrounds?? They were amazing
Canva!! I have a workshop on using it! jennifermaker.com/canva-workshop 🥰
I made a shirt and used a correct heat tape to hold down the image onto the shirts and it left a yellow mark. Is there a way to get that out?
Some people I believe have had some success with that. You can ask in the group. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Hi, I'm using an Easy Press and I don't see an option for sublimation paper. Would I use Infusible Ink Transfer sheet?
I have notes in my tutorial for using the Easy Press as well, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-t-shirt/ 💗
@@JenniferMaker Sorry, I just don't see anything there. Just the autopress into.
What about measurements for the back or other parts of shirts? Example: Name on back/across the shoulders, pocket size, etc.
You can find more measurements and placement at jennifermaker.com/t-shirt-ruler-guide/ 🥰
Thank you so much for your wonderful instructions! You are always my go to when learning a new craft or system. I do have one question, how do I find the options to change my printer settings? When I click use system dialog, I don't get the same options.
Printers can vary slightly. Here are the 4 printers that I researched. jennifermaker.com/best-dye-sublimation-printers/
Great video! New subscriber!! I have a question, am I only able to use a Epson or Sawgrass printer? Or can I use a regular printer?
You need a sublimation printer or one to convert but you can use Infusible Ink with no printer. jennifermaker.com/cricut-infusible-ink/#answers_to_your_cricut_infusible_ink_questions
@@JenniferMaker Thank you so much for this information.☺☺
@@JenniferMaker I bought an Epson printer like the one that you have, but I bought it used. It has ink in it already. Is there a way to get that ink out to put sublimation ink in there? Or is it possible that the ink in there is sublimation ink?
I don't know what im doing wrong but the print for google doc wants me to save it to my computer to print. the box that shows up for you doesn't pop up for me. any idea what I did wrong? I did step by step too. trying to make a x-large shirt. also Im using a Mac if that makes any difference.
This was done on a Mac as well. It sounds like it will still work for your that way. Did it work out for you? You can ask in the group if you need more help. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-for-beginners/ facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Here are some t-shirt guides for you. jennifermaker.com/t-shirt-ruler-guide/
I was watching a video from someone else and they said not to get the Epson because the sublimation ink will ruin it's jets and since the warranty will be ruined, you won't be able to get it fixed. Anyone know if that is accurate? My daughter wants to start crafting.
We have details on converting an Epson EcoTank here jennifermaker.com/epson-ecotank-setup-video 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker Thank you! yes, I watched that video - you do such a good job. I just didn't see this one question answered on it. Should have posted the question on that video! LOL. Thanks - appreciate your contribution to our creativity. :D
Hello Jennifer,Thanks a ton for teaching printing on t-shirts.I am a big fan of your❤️
I have a HP 8034e ink jet printer. Can I use that for Sublimation?
Yes that its true.
I want my designs bigger than this. Will it work since it’s on the printer ? Can I print larger designs or only standard paper size?
I have a tutorial on doing larger designs.jennifermaker.com/sublimation-with-cricut/ 🥰
@@JenniferMaker thank you
This was super helpful and well made, thanks!

Hi Ms. JenniferMaker, can we still use the scanner once we convert our epson tank into a sublimation printer?
Great question! I don't see why not. Give it a go!
Can you use an iPad to use google docs to print off sublimation?
It can be done. My group is very helpful. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
I love watching your videos. Can you add spangles to a shirt after you have sublimated it?
You definitely could🥰
Love your videos Jen! I'm looking to do shirts for couple of friends, and your video has been super helpful :) Now my question - is there any group or association for designers or crafters?
Thank you! I am not sure.
If I don’t have the paper can I use a white towel?
That may change the pressing time. You can test it.
When i click print using system dialog i dont get the same pop up box with more settings like i see you getting ive tried everything im just getting a box with preferences pop up
You can ask in the group and show photos for help. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Hi Jennifer,Love your videos!!! Where do I find the t-shirt placement guides and how large to make your designs?
They are listed in the tutorial. jennifermaker.com/sublimation-t-shirt/
Thank you!!!
How do I add my own "quote" onto the free blank tie-dye image from the library?
Here is the link to another project where I explain how to customize your design in Google Docs, jennifermaker.com/sublimation-garden-flags/. I hope that helps!
