    Thank you, Jennifer, for this wonderful video! I started to sublimate my first T- shirt since getting an Epson printer for Christmas, and realized that I didn't know the correct temperature or time! Thank you Jennifer. I can always depend on you to give simple and direct instructions. I follow your instructions using my epson 2803 the second time I viewed your video. First I did a test print on a piece of polyester fabric. Then on to my polyester shirt. It came out perfect. I am a beginner trying to navigate how to use my cricut machine and understand sublimation. I have hope now and inspired to keep learning and growing. Thank you again for all of your videos.

    I have a couple of questions...
    - How long after sublimation on shirt or mugs should one wait to wash?
    - Do you only have to worry about the fading in the lesser polyester blends after 1st wash, or will they continue to fade after every wash?

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  11 месяцев назад

      You can wait 24 to 48 hours. I have had god luck with little fading but over time with lots of washing just like any clothing it can wear down.

    I don't know if I missed it or heard the statement incorrectly. The sublimation printer is a whole other printer from a typical printer. So you would have your typical printer used to print research papers etc, and a sublimation printer is used specifically for the purpose of making sublimation tshirts or other items. Thank You!

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  7 дней назад

      It's likely due to incorrect paper type settings in your printer driver, which might not be recognizing the full range of paper options available with third-party ink; try updating your printer driver, resetting the printer settings, and manually selecting the correct paper type in your print settings to resolve this issue.

    Jennifer, I love your videos. You are very professional. I purchased an Epson Eco Tank ET 2850 last week, and bought Hiipoo sublimation ink, I purchased from Amazon. I put the ink in the tanks, the black tank did not fill up, but I used the whole bottle. The colored ink I had a little left over. I did the initialization, and then I went to do all the tests, and all my colored lines were broken, so I did what they suggested when I clicked and printed again, there were broken lines. I did it 3 more times, and the lines didn’t get much better. I ordered more ink (you can’t just buy black ink from Hiipoo. When I get the new order of ink I again will see if I can get solid lines in all the different colors. The yellow is very difficult to see. If after trying to run the tests, when my ink comes in, if I can’t get a good test, what should I do? I did try printing something that was white back ground and letters in black. That came out pretty good. I then tried copying a picture from a catalog. The colors were very muted, is that because of using sublimation ink? I also used plan copy paper because in one of your videos you said it took 9 sheets of paper. Have you heard if anyone else has had this problem? If so, what did they do? I know putting sublimation ink voids the warranty and I hate to be stuck with a brand new printer that I cannot use, and have to buy another printer. Thanks for letting me vent. Any suggestions from you and your followers would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work.

      Hi, Elaine! You won't see the true colors of your sublimation until you press it -- it will seem very dull and light on your paper when it prints. Have you tried pressing it on a piece of 100% polyester yet? :)

      @@JenniferMaker Thank you for your reply. I do not have any 100% polyester material. I will have to go to the store and get some. I may try to clean the printer heads and nozzles and see if that helps. I have so many broken lines in all 4 colors. If that doesn’t help I’ll try all the different maintenance, and hope that helps. I downloaded your subliflower so I can check the colors, I think you mentioned ICC profile with the ink brand and printer brand. I haven’t gotten to downloading the Epson drivers on my iMac. I was hoping to finish the setting up of my printer before I move on to the drivers. Do you think I will ever get this printer to work correctly? Thank you for taking the time to help me out.

      Use the menu Add-ons->SetImageSize->show sidebar to activate. Then select an image in your document and select "get size" in the sidebar. Now change the size to your liking, then select 'Apply' to make the change. workspace.google.com/marketplace/app/setimagesize/222949584385#

    Thank you for this wonderful tutorial.- But I am unable to select all the options for printing. I am using a Mac, and have an Epson ET-2800. The "Media Type" does not give me "Presentation Paper Matte" as an option, so I selected "Photo Matte Paper" and which automatically changed the "Print Quality" to "best". AND "Print Settings" does not have "Color Sync" as a printer option. Do I need to go back and find your Printer Setup Videos first - and set up my ICC printer profile first?

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  2 месяца назад

      I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful. Based on the context provided, here are a few steps you can try:
      Media Type Selection: Since "Presentation Paper Matte" is not available, selecting "Photo Matte Paper" is a good alternative. This should work well for your project.
      Print Quality: It's great that the "Print Quality" automatically changed to "best" when you selected "Photo Matte Paper." This should help you achieve vibrant colors and avoid issues like banding.
      Color Sync Option: If "Color Sync" is not available in your "Print Settings," it might be related to the specific printer model or the driver installed on your Mac.
      ICC Printer Profile: Setting up your ICC printer profile can indeed help with color accuracy. If you haven't done this yet, it might be beneficial to go back and watch the Printer Setup Videos to ensure your printer is configured correctly.
      By setting up the ICC profile, you can ensure that the colors you see on your screen match the printed output more closely. This step is particularly important for projects requiring precise color matching.

    • @JenniferMaker
      @JenniferMaker  8 месяцев назад

      If you are experiencing limitations when selecting color options for your Epson SureColor F170 printer, it may be due to various reasons, including settings within the printer driver, software configuration, or compatibility issues. Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed for your Epson SureColor F170 printer. Visit the Epson website to download and install the most up-to-date driver for your operating system.
      Once the driver is installed, access the printer properties or settings through your computer's Control Panel or System Preferences.
      Check the printer settings to ensure that color printing is enabled and configured correctly. Look for options related to color mode, color management, or grayscale printing, and make sure they are set appropriately.
