    Yes, in full agreement that was an epic hike, beautiful skies and perfect temperature! I love watching this and remembering the fun we had that day....including the "sound barrier" breaking drive down to the visitors center! Ha! Thankful for no other cars and no park rangers on that ride, and we got there just in time! Fun day and loaded with the ultimate memory making. I LOVED IT!! ❤️ 😊

    Definitely one of my favorite hikes. Also we found it easier to go clockwise.

    Great video, always beautiful! I guess January is the best month to go to Utah you always seem to have great weather each time you go!

      Thank you! I try to plan the trips based on the weather. But we really lucked out this year. It's a mild winter.

    Sick video. That rock pivot was intense!! Props to Mama Barb. For knocking it out with you!! Great job guys!!

      Thanks Frank! It was very intense. I had to do some slick editing on that part to keep the video from being 1 hour long, but really we got hung up on that slab for about 1.5 hours. I released the extended cut for the Patreons. But overall that is one of my favorite Hikes! It would just be so much easier in the opposite direction.

    Great video. In 2015 we did an out and back to Dark Tower. Being newbies, we were afraid of the primitive trail for some reason. Wish we did it!

    @rm7718 11 месяцев назад +1

    yes I would say the trail should be better started in the clock wise direction to go up that long slopped rock first, not descend it at the end,,,😏 good job Barb!

      I think March is when it starts getting busy. I notice all the hotel rates shoot up like 40% starting March 1.

    What are your settings? and do you edit your audio?

      How do you connect a wireless mic to the GoPro?

    • @nicksangetta8874
      @nicksangetta8874  10 месяцев назад +1

      @mirandoyexplorando1489 I forgot to add that you have to have the media mod also (thanks GoPro). The media mod has the 3.5 jack to plug in the tiny receiver and then it slides in the cold shoe mount on the side. Then the mic on my shirt connects with the receiver.

      @@nicksangetta8874Does this set up drain your battery faster?

    • @nicksangetta8874
      @nicksangetta8874  10 месяцев назад +1

      @mirandoyexplorando1489 No, I do not believe so. The receiver and microphones have their own batteries and little box that charges them. I have gone like 7 hours running them nonstop and so far neither the mics or receiver has died. And if they do, just throw them in the box for a few minutes and they are charged back up again.

    Another great video. I did that hike last summer. I just got a DJI action camera and take videos of my hikes. Did you get a permit?

    • @nicksangetta8874
      @nicksangetta8874  11 месяцев назад +1

      We got a permit to hike Fiery Furnace. They are pretty serious about who they let back there. That video is coming next Monday. DJI makes some nice stuff. I stuck with the GoPro because I already had a bunch of accessories for it.

      @RickS727 No. I did not get a permit to record. I figured I should automatically get that when the government takes 30% of my paycheck.

    Slickrock is only slippery if your snickers are not adequate to provide good adherence or if wet, then the troubles start, don't go on this rock if wet...
