I wish I knew where this is …
Nick, I usually scope out your videos before taking a major new hike in RMNP. Last summer we tried Storm Peak, but it was so windy (I actually got blown over--never had that happen before!), that we were pretty tired by the Boulder Field. We did not see an obvious line/route up Storm, and decided to be smart and try again another day. Do you have a GPS track or Strava or any pointers that you could share regarding your exact path from the Boulder Field to the summit? If so, Try #2 will be on my goal list for this summer. Thanks!! Laurie
@TheWolves-x4j I may have had the route at one time, but I have since maxed out the memory on my GPS and it is now overwriting my older hikes. So I only have the pin drops now, and not the actual route. I dont remember it being super difficult and luckily its pretty short from the Boulder Field to the summit. Sorry I don't have more info. Good luck on the next attempt! You got it! Also thanks for watching.
I haven’t been out there in years, this makes me want to go back!
That was a fun one, and not too hard! I've been wanting to get down to Eldorado Canyon, and I think we did it at the perfect time when there was nobody else there......most likely a different story in the summer! Thanks for the hike! ❤
Nice Nick, thanks for showing me some new country to yeonder thru. I've never been down that way, is it near the ski area?
@RidgeWalker8414 This is a really cool spot just south of Boulder, kinda close to Eldora ski area but that would be more to the west over by Nederland. It's crazy though, both areas have an "Eldorado Mountain" and they are really not that far apart.
Another hike checked off the list! Looked a bit tough in the beginning but turned out to be a decent trail! Great views.
@laurenbouchie2394 The Eldorado Canyon is such a hidden gem. It's amazing back in there! Reminds me a little of Utah. And sadly, no Utah trips this year. I can't afford to go. So instead I am doing a lot more local Colorado winter hikes.
Love Colorado! It's such a great state to make videos about. We'll have to go on that hike this year. We like your videos so much we subscribed. Cheers!
I really dig yer song lyrics, man! 🎉🎉🎉
@@JamesRobertSmith Thanks!
Nice video Nick, thanks for sharing and bringing back memories. When I was a kid my family lived there and ran that ranch for Mr. Pulliam (DR). It was before any burns and all covered with thick forests. We ran cattle all over green ridge and the elk would come down into our alfalfa fields. So different now but I still like to get up there quite a bit. Maybe will run into you sometime.
@RidgeWalker8414 Wow, you worked for the actual Dr. That is cool! I love that area back there and was really sad when the Cameron Fire ripped through it. Just terrible. Hopefully I will run into you one day!
@@nicksangetta8874 Ya, I grew up with the Soderbergs so ran all over the Horsetooth country before they sold it to the city. Not a single trail in any of these open spaces back then. I am enjoying some of your other videos, good stuff Nick. Glad I found you, we have a lot in common seeking out the untravled places.
Looks like Galbraith
@@DENVEROUTDOORMAN It felt like I had done Mt Meeker by the end of it. Brutal. I thought I was gonna die up there.
The Golden Age baby!
@Miderguy_ Awww yeah! I am loving it so far. 😁
You should have been a song writer
@DENVEROUTDOORMAN It is very enjoyable! Never in a million years did I think I could do anything that had to do with music.
Looks like they have opened up so much more of the Horsetooth area with some not-too-hard trails! Can't believe more people weren't out there, it's usually crazy! Thanks for the work you do! ❤
I love this song and its meaning to just never ever give up.....keep on truckin' as we used to say back in the '60s! Love it!! ❤
Full video coming in a few weeks!
I enjoyed this hike very much! Thank you for taking me along? KC Don 😉
This is some AI-generated nonsense and I wish I had been aborted/miscarried when I hear shit like this. I was directed here from the r/crappymusic subreddit.
Awesome Nick! I always wanted to see what was up Pole Hill Rd. You should make a video with some behind the scenes of how you make your music, I would really like to see that!
@hunterbergman6453 I have tried a few times to actually get Pole Hill. Tried once from the Pinewood Reservoir side and its just all private property. The music making is so much fun. I love making songs. I have so many more that I haven't released yet. I even got a really graphic one about falling, but it will turn some people away so I will probably never put it up. Thanks for watching though!
I like that hike - good one to snowshoe in the winter. Nice video!!
@cwguy8960 Thank you! That would be a good one to snowshoe. I just can't go far in snowshoes because they tear up my bad knee.
Hey Nice! Nice video! Very good stuff!
@@TrailStrider909 Thank you! I appreciate the kind words.
@ ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice hike, must be a lot of trails in that area , so many trail spilits. I can see why you would need a GPS/maps to check your location. Winter looks like it hit CO a bit finally. Thanks for sharing.
@@laurenbouchie2394 We definitely got hit with the snow! I was in it up to my ankles all day today. Thanks for watching!
Great Video!
@@ianholl9100 Thanks, Ian!
Awesome! I'll be there this summer!
@ThomasLuley There are even more ruins if you continue on the trail (I think) but we ran out of time. Good luck on your trip!
You are a machine!! Love to follow your hikes. How the heck are you able to do all these hikes?? This is some serious time commitment. Well done!
@@ryanpaul8588 Thanks! I lost my main job a while ago so I have more time, but less money. Correction.. no money.
@nicksangetta8874 sorry to hear that. I am sure you will find the right fit! The mountains are a great place to clear the mind. Appreciate you sharing it with us!
Did that exact loop in the opposite direction the day after XMAS. Thought that I'd get another hike or two before my move to WA, but things got too crazy and this ended up being my final hike in NOCO!
Beautiful trail, looked like it was fun to do, nothing to hard. Snow finally also! The weather has been crazy here in TX this year. Thanks for sharing your hike
Yep, that was a good one and the views were really nice too! Always enjoy going for a hike on nice days that aren't too windy and with doable temperatures. You know I like the "cooler" days to hike for sure!! Thank you for taking me along to the summit of Mt. Galbraith! ❤
Wow, that was a long one! I remember when we hiked around out there and I thought it was quite a long way to Mahoney Park! LOL. But, you did the "deluxe" hike, and gathered some good footage and dronage! Loved the accompanying song, too. Thank you for taking us along. ❤
Thanks for the vid. Good idea, forgot about this area.
Nice hike Nick, looks like it was a great day for one to! I bet that would be a nice spring time hike when the grass an flowers are all poppin!
@laurenbouchie2394 Thank you! It would be nice in the Spring but I can't imagine how many ticks are out there. Eeesh
Hey bud! Looked like a great hike! Green Ridge is labeled on my map on the South end of Bobcat Ridge, but you were on the North side, is that correct?
@@elevatedarchives Yeah, I was all the way up north. The Green Ridge might stretch all the way down to the south side though. I'm not sure. I couldn't find much info about it online. Only that one website.
@nicksangetta8874 We can see why the one guy made a road all the way to Mahoney so he could share it with his wife. I read that on one of the signs out there somewhere...
@@elevatedarchives I vaguely remember seeing that.
Summer is only 5 months away or so ok 6 whatever
@@eddiedelisionope no more Spring or Summer
I was so glad to hear that someday you will do North and South Table Mountains because I have always wanted to know what the hikes were like and what the views were like from the top. And then you said maybe not. 😅 Love all your videos!
@@BB-ql1uj 😂 I still want to do them, but there are some others in the area I want to get first if I'm gonna do that drive.
That IS PRIVATE PROPERTY
Next Time try from Nightbird Gulch better scenery from start and I usually do the loop counter but start from the Housing area at Canyon Point Cir and Wasington...just off Hwy 93 instead of GOLDEN GATE Canyon Rd...because on weekends you Cedar Gulch Parking can get crowded and you start off with a better view...My favorite Hike in Golden...do the lollypop to the loop and go up the loop clockwise....a little after the burn area there is a hidden trail to the very top...whereas the regular trail never reaches the Summit.
Prounounced Gal Breath
Great video. Just subbed
Sitting here in Longmont trying to figure out where you were at. Beautiful hike! Gonna have to go down to Jeffco and give it a hike. Thanks for video after video of awesome hikes in our area! You make finding a good hike rather easy! Much love and favor 🙏😇🤗
But you need to try it from Nightbird Gulch from Canyon Pt Circle and Washington street just off hwy 93
Nick do you host any workshops about nature adventure videography like once in a while? That would be super cool. You rock my brother.
@@surfcruzer Thanks! But no, I have never done anything like that. I'm just learning as I go.
Crossed paths with you two coming off the summit. Ice was no joke!
Super cool! Yeah that ice was vicious in some spots! I bet it can get so much worse though when the entire thing is covered. Eesh!
Hey I've been to that Coors plant! Great video Nick, Happy New Year to you and your mom.
"Penguin Mode activated" 😆 did you watch Grandma's Boy on NYE?
@mikeess Haha! Grandma's Boy 😆 "When I get nervous I talk like a robot."
That was a nice trail , except for the ice, nothing to hard! The views were great! I wouldnt want to be out there in the heat of the summer but great spring, fall winter hike.
@@laurenbouchie2394 That one would be a scorcher in the summer!

Another cool song. Thanks for sharing your adventures!!
@@jayday65 Thanks! I love doing the songs!
That turned out to be one of my favorite winter hikes! Just enough "up", and loved the rock scrambling at the top too. Great drone footage with excellent musical accompaniment to boot! From hiking, videoing, droning and now composing lyrics for your songs.....lots of work, with results that are perfection. Good job! ❤
