Can I simply add bigger spool of spring to add run time to it without any modifications to current assembly? Thanks for sharing. Look forward to making one out of wood. Will be a combination of Laser and CNC parts.
@@housdrmoon was wondering if F0.4kg spring is needed? I ordered one off of aliexpress same specs as you listed. That is quite a strong spring! Wondering if you could go lower 0.3 and reduce the amount of weights instead?
Beautiful work. I've watched several of your kinetic work and thanks for displaying. Is the center hubs for the kinetic movement the same? If so, you could make a hub for the spoke sections and then have interchangable spokes and snap to the hub like a quick change. Just a thought.
Sua obra é maravilhosa... Mas a maior beleza do seu trabalho é compartilhar tudo isso conosco em detalhes no seu vídeo. Obrigado de coração por dividir todo esse conhecimento com todos.
I was intrigued by watching David C Roy's kinetic sculpture. That was my initial introduction to these things. But they're not willing to share their ideas. I spent a lot of time to know the basics of these. But no use. Later I got to know that weight escapement is used, but I don't know anything more than that. I really want to learn more about these.. Can you please give me the ideas of how they're working and all? Or any references?
Thank you for interest on my work. Most of the mechanism are shown in the video. In particular, I think you will be able to understand the mechanism more accurately if you make it yourself using the shared my drawings. If you have any other questions, please let me know in the comments. Thank you. :)
I am also trying to find out a more detailed description of the internal parts. But nothing so far..It would be really helpful if you can share some insights in case you already figured it out
For the weight optimization, how should they be balanced? From the video It looks like both the front and back assembly is balanced so weight is heavier on one side?
Excellent tutorial!!! I am in the process of making one of these and I have an issue with the stainless rods ......do you buy your stainless rods already "tapped"? I can find the rods, just not tapped already do you "TAP" your own?
@@housdrmoon Ok thank you , I may have to come up with an alternative method.....once again EXCELLENT tutorial and thank you for posting I will keep you posted on my progress.
Hi~ It's probably a problem with the Thingiverse website. It is not possible to download not only my drawings but also drawings uploaded by others. Try again tomorrow. Thanks :)

So beautiful , congrats!!!!

You can use longer spring but not stronger.
If you use stronger spring, total weight of kinetic sculpture should be increased.
thanks :)

I imagine changing the escape gear would increase runtime as well? from 8 to 12 maybe? magnets would have to be moved accordingly i guess...?
Edit..aliexpress spring listed as 0.4 but not...thickness was 0.5mm
You're channel my very favorite channel 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆😍😍😍😍
Wow amazing! Another mesmerizing stare :-) I would love to see on how to make the infinity kinetic sculpture if you would consider making it.

How long does it run for ?
Hi~
The spring can be wound 6 turns and running time is about 30 min.
