I have to be honest. 95% of the time I find slow blues boring. But THIS GUY. Albert Collins. He brings the JUICE. He brings the feel, the joy, the pain, THE BLUES...all with just his voice and about HALF the neck of his guitar. (Of course, having a kick ass backing band doesn't hurt.) This is the SHIT, ladies and gentlemen.
You haven’t listened to the right slow blues… Albert Collins was one of many greats who excelled in slow blues.. We are blessed with so many great artists on this field!
I saw Albert Collins in 1969 at Fillmore West, with Albert King, and Buddy Guy on the same billing.Albert plugged a long cord into his guitar and walked down the aisles of that venue playing for all to see and hear. That was a night of blues I'll never forget.
he always gave me the impression that he was a real nice guy, warm, friendly and full of fun, i would have LOVED to have done a couple of songs with him.
While Albert was alive me and my brother saw him a several times in the Netherlands and spoke to him was a warm and tender man. After he died I wrote with his wife Gwen Collins and Bruce Iglauer from Alligator Records.Gwen was such a tender woman and Bruce told me that he left Gwen in good order behind after he was go back home to Blues Heaven. Thanks for posting man
nobody will ever come close to the style and Magic pure electricity that comes out of this man and his music. So great to have seen him live several times up-close touched him shook his hand got some of his magic energy in me. and I met him in the mall in Las Vegas nobody even recognize them and I thanked him for all he has done for me and the rest of the world. and he died shortly after that. What a great loss so glad we have his videos and audio
I live in Houston,Texas & I was a huge fan of Mr. Albert Collins seeing him on Saturday nights @ Shady's Lounge along with Mr. Johnny Clyde Copeland. These times were great & may they RIP🐒
One of AC signature endings. He was and still remains most likely the best. There will be noone like him. RIP to a true legend that showed us the blues.
Young shredders need to listen to some ‘truth’. What he does with one note blows away most off that bullshit out there today. Thank god the stoners understand that, and are playing pure guitar again. Mr. Collins, we salute you. R.I.P.
Massive , original talent on the guitar . Beautiful expressive voice . A musician , part and parcel of the band , not a 'star ' strutting his ego . It can't get any better than this . How come I had to wait so long before I heard him ? How come he's not played more ? Not knocking others , but surely if they're always playing Clapton , BB King , etc , Albert Collins should be there too , so he can be appreciated by more people .
I had this guy confused with Albert King, been missing out however, these two Aberts are great and a lesson to fallow. Thanks for the up load and taking me of the days gone by.
Awesome ! Thanks for uploading. October 27th, 1988 - from German music show 'Ohne Filter - Musik Pur' (available on DVD). Albert Collins - Guitar, Vocals, Debbie Davies - Guitar, Vocals, Johnny B. About 2.00 am, jam night, in the Central nightclub on Sunset Blvd, late seventies. Albert Collins arrived to sit in! The power of that guitar in a small club. Sweat pouring down his face and dripping off his nose and chin, high as a kite, ecstatic with whatever devil’s brew he was on, Awesome experience as scaled the heavens with his guitar. More on my musical and artistic taste on my WEBLOG on Holistic Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy - Los Angeles - www.mindmagic123.com/id111.html
This is incredible music, too bad the video has a glitch and shakes like someone with parkinson's disease. Impossible to watch and not have an epileptic fit from it.

What a band ! Albert was having a good time !
Albert Collins and Lonnie Mack, both should have received more recognition , for how truly talented they were !

Shirlene Oliver you are a lucky man!
MASTER OF THE TELECASTER....
He was a Beast...No one can ever touch that tone.
This Man is great. The blues is not about theory and what you play. It is about how you play it.
A. Collins is one of my favorite Blues Artists. Remember his appearance in the movie "Adventures in babysitting"? Awesome,!!! Damn good music.
One of AC signature endings. He was and still remains most likely the best. There will be noone like him. RIP to a true legend that showed us the blues.

The Master of Telecaster
Classic “Collins-ism’s”:
@3:14 - hits that “screaming” note along with the horn hit
@5:38 - “yesss!” Then funky sliding fingers!
He knocks the wind right out of me....
Unreal, really unreal
MASTER OF THE TELECASTER RIP
great blues .. I like it :-) thanks for this video ...
Playin' with my mind babe
Always accusin' me of doin' wrong
I say you're playin' with my mind, woman
You're always accusin' me of doin' wrong
I can see you're lights on baby
But I can't see, I can't see nobody home
Now here come my mother-in-law
It's the same thing ev'ry day
Ever since we been married baby
She tried to drive me away, yeah
Now you're still accusin' me baby
Accusin' me of doin' wrong
I can see your lights on baby
But I can't see, I can't see nobody home
When I have to go to work
I gotta go to work downtown
If I get home a little late baby
You say I'm out messin' around
Now you're still accusin' me baby
Accusin' me of doin' wrong
I can see your lights on baby
But I can't see, I can't see nobody home
