Head to 91x.com for upcoming X-Sessions and details on how you can attend one.
One of my favorite songs, never get tired of hearing it. Billy Duffy is one of the most underappreciated guitarists in the past 30 or so years. Having seen this band several times, he's very tight live, and you can see his passion for music. I don't think he gets the credit he deserves for his guitar ability and talents.
Billy Duffy is a BOSS. Unbelievably memorable opening riff.
There isn't a stereo in existence that can play this loud enough...
I swear Billy has never ever played a sour note. This is scorching and i keep coming back to it. Thankful I grew up in the 80's
These guys (Ian and Billy) belong in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame
Yes they do! And I'm gonna bet that soon they will be. It just takes the RHOF a little longer than the rest of us to catch on.
Great version, that riff from Billy, such power. I really love those extra melodical licks Billy does. Best band ever. What a heroes. CFFC
That riff has worn a groove in my brain over the years. My ears are fucked but I can still hear it.
What a version this is!! Simply brilliant.
THE CULT STILL ROCKS AFTER ALL THESE YEARS!!!!!!
Man!! that guitar is gorgeous!!
This songs like a fine wine....hairs stood on the back of my neck then and still do now.
This song is literally a part of my being on this planet.Thank you Ian and Billy for this gift.
I Get Chills Every time I Listen To 80's Era Rock...I Had Just turned 18 In 1984 When The Big Hair And Makeup Bands Blew The Lid Off Of The Rock And Roll Scene.!!! Great Memories , Best Rock Ever..!!!
I forgot just how freakin' great this song is. Awesome!
I DISCOVERED the Cult when I was walking late at night along 1st Street in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and heard Music pouring out of some obscure night club, that isn't even there anymore, went in and joined about 20-30 people. Heard Sanctuary, heard Love. 10 feet away on the Dance Floor. HOOKED ever since. What a Gem to stumble on!
these guys were awesome, i could never understand how these guys were so huge yet so unknown in the main stream.
i guess thats what made them special.
One of the best 80's songs!!!!
this song is one of the best in existence. not often do you find the perfect song with perfect vocalist and incredible guitar lead playing that make one piece of musical magic.
THE CULT SHOULD BE IN THE ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME :)
The Cult! The sparkle in your eyes
Keeps me alive
Wow! Ian you sound absolutely incredible! Such an amazing version all these years later. CFFC!!!!
one of my favorite songs ever!
What an awesome version. Ian and Billy so crisp along with the rest, even Jesus slapping the keys.
Oh this song! It just moves me.....and hard! I get in with this beat being laid down, listen deeply to the guitar riffs and the way they accent that undenying mind-mesmerizing voice. And there are my feelings, being belted out. Crazy how certain songs can do that.
one of the greatest live bands ever !
The Cult is timeless rock and roll! Never goes out of style! (And Ian pulls off the man-bun quite well!)
the cult , never get tired of them. just awesome.
Still a great voice 35 years after!
Brilliant. One million times, I've heard/played this song. never old. And that sweetheart Gretsch. Precious is an understatement.
There's that eternal term "under-rated" again. Good grief, what a subjective term.
Thank you 91X for a great rock 'n roll recording of one of the greats.
This song has...and Always will...Blow My Freakin Mind!!! The guitar and drum work and Ians' voice!! Definitely one of my all time favorite songs!!!
Awesome- Brings me back to a time when music was music and musicians had talent! Still sounds great!
A favorite band,at my favorite radio station back home....I miss San Diego. Always great bands to see on any givin night.

This song and sweet child of mine are the 2 best guitar riffs - freaking awesome.

Oh man. This takes me back. Saw them at Wembley Arena way back when. Best song ever.
That was sooooo spot on I can't even handle it. That guitar! That voice!
I was looking for covers of this to listen to while I read something on a different website. Among the videos in the search there was this and I clicked it without paying any attention to the title (I just took a very short glance at the thumbnail, from which I figured some random dude would maka a voice cover) and switched the page in the screen. While I was reading the aformentioned thing I had my attention diverted from the text to the sound. I thought, wtf, that's one hell of a great cover. So amazed, ideed, I was, that I had to stop reading and pay attention to the video. Yet, it took me several seconds to realize it's not a cover. It makes sense, I thought while a bit disappointed that I haven't found anyone able to do such a great cover. I suppose youI just can't expect to find anything as good as the original. It was just awsome bc I realized how great quality this guys deliver. So much that you can tell there's something special about them, not biased by the admiration you have for the band, that is, even if they played anonymously people could really tell they're great, unlike many nowadays artists who could never prove themselves without back up audio, advertisement and gimmickry.
Saw them last week in San Antonio they put on an awesome show
The Cult still kicks fucking ass man! Rock on guys.
Duffy is one of the underrated greats
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! I am drumming and jumping up and down in my seat at the office:)
Great to see Ian crack out the lyric a lot closer to the original cut. They sound awesome. Something about his voice puts him right up there with the rock greats. It's the best "yeaheh" in the business...
WOW, I just watched the original video from...what? 1985 or so, and Ian still sound so much the same; I mean great. Great chords. Yes he did alter his vocals for this 91X version, but come on. Listen close and you can hear his pipes are still the same as 30 + years ago. Rock on guys. Pure gold.
that song kicks ass!!!! the best!!
This was a great album. Rain was another great track from this album
They still got it!!!! Amazing!
Pure energy! Big fan from Brazil...since 80´s.

Spot On !!!! Clearly audible .

LOVE THE CULT
Still the best song ever.. Rock & Roll at its best.
The song still kills!
John Tempesta is so great in this band. Solid as a rock. Playing 'under his ability' for sure, but he's sooooo in the pocket.
great version...that gretch looks so nice
This video is INCREDIBLY AWESOME!!!!
What an amazingly cool guitar!!!
This is an exceptional recording of this song , very good work, heard a few live "Rosanne Barr" quality examples of this song from 5 -6 years ago. this is top quality.
Cool and great version!!!!
i love this guys...
still as good as when I saw them in the mid 80s here in NYC
this song, forever in my life
Incredible voice !!!
can remember going to Edinburgh playhouse in mid 90`s to see them never forget best concert ever, you could still smoke and drink at concerts, very funny smells coming from hall.
A minha banda preferida.
Rock sempre.
Oh hell yes. This was awesome!
So rad. Saw them at HOB on the 19th. Billy looks like he "un-aged" about 20 years......Crazy.
Billy has to be the coolest and one of the best rock guitarists ever.... this session is FUCKINGAWESOME...CULTROCK keep me alive...hey yay yeah...Found my Sanctuary
i even remember buying the LP in our local record store in mid 80s!
Ian's voice sounds really good on this. They've dropped all their songs down a semitone to help, cause years of belting those hits out do a number on your vocal cords, but I think this is my favourite version of his phrasing and tone for this song.
+Felix .LeBlanc Yeah Tom Keifer is touring again and he dropped a few notes down, but still sounds great when he goes for those Cinderella notes! Glad to see our heroes still slaying dragons!
awesome..ole days..real instruments. no lip synch
.real rock
those were the days alright! loved that original video too. it used to get a good thrashing back on video tape. Awesome to see this!
Fantastic!!
Awesome! Billy the lumberjack! He's never looked hotter! Big fan guys!

Cult rocks. What a vibe!! :)
They sound great! Great tune
He is using a Roland keyboard amp with a ping pong chorus,; blended with a marshall 1887x . 30 years later and they are killing it; love this song and that this is that sound I always heard in my head when I imagined I was playing guitar. !!!
Anyone who gave this a thumbs down, doesn't know good great music!
+MrHowardintampa exactly
they all, together, make a wonderful noise. fucking love this tune. .
LA ESCUCHO Y LA ESCUCHO Y NO DEJA DE GUSTARME
A f×cking and great version of this song by The Cult. 1985 more than 30 years !!!!
