I just got a set of Avoda's with the axiom 105s shafts, pretty crazy! I went from 120g KBS tour stiffs and didn't lose any of the stability. These shafts are awesome!
I was on the GolfWRX testing group and saw the same things that you did. When you get them out on the course, the biggest adjustment you'll have to make is the amount of "curve" that you play. I went from playing a healthy amount of draw with the same irons since 2016 to nearly playing the straight ball. The Axioms definitely don't curve as much as traditional steel, so be prepared! Took me a few rounds to figure that out.
I heard steel has a longer lifespan. Hence why i have steels. I keep my clubs long. I do have a lob wedge with graphite wedge flex. Light and spinnier.
I have been playing these exact shafts for about 2 months now. I am about a 15 handicap, and was playing 105x in steel prior. These feel incredible and my dispersion has definitely improved. Pricey, but hey golf is expensive
Nice looking shafts with a excellent reward! I just might have to look into those one day, because I just got fitted for new irons with the Nippon - NS pro modus3 105 S soft stepped. I would of maybe liked to had this option to try.
Graphite is starting to become the play man. The technology developed is crazy good. Graphite used to be such a senior type shaft and now it’s just as good as steel.
I was fit for Mitsubishi OTi graphite iron shafts. I absolutely love them. 95g stiff. I was having right elbow issues previously. The pain/discomfort went away after switching. Had to play my old XP S300 shafts for a month and guess what? Mr. elbow starting flaring up again (I was fit for the XP's 5 years ago). The launch and distance went up by a club length, still playing forged cb heads.
Interesting to see by the consistent logo placement that Fujikura didn't appear to pure the shafts. The assumption then is that there is no real benefit to doing so with the Axiom?
I wish golf gear was more accessible to regular people. I make a decent living 90k/year and can't fathom spending that kind of money for a marginal improvement. tHe game would be better with some easier means to get good equipment into hands of eager players.
I couldn’t agree more, I recently switched to all Sub70 clubs, they are an American direct to consumer brand and I absolutely love them. The quality is just as good and half the price of the big name brands
Well what’s the results, you have had them for a while are they worth the hype? I’m on the fence about purchasing them. That’s a lot of cash for some iron shafts.
Nice fit. did you get the shafts SST PUred as well???? Yes NO and why not???? It is amazing how ther are a lot of golf manufactures still in the Carlsbad area of CA with the Ca being a dump state....
The big problem with these shafts is that a lot of folks can’t afford them. At $105 a shaft, it’s out of a lot of players reach. It’s about $900 just in shafts.
Defiantly want to test these in my i230’s wit Modus 105’s to understand if these deliver better feel, tighter dispersion and maybe even sneak a few extra yards.
SST has been proven unnecessary with higher quality shafts. Makes literally no difference at all. It helps china made shafts but why spend money on that when you can just buy better shafts to begin with
are there that many people seeing this that are upgrading their irons, 4-P as suggested, to the tune of $800 (plus labor)? then again, I guess that's plausible considering non-competitively skilled bowlers get $200+ shoes and 3-6 or more $250 balls.
2 questions 1) Would these fit for Mizuno JPX 923 hot metal? 2) I’m swinging 100g S steel right now. Would you do same weight and stiff or go lighter. Would a 100g feel the same in both graphite and steel?
I put the Axiom 105s on my mizunos 923 HM pros. Changed out the nippon 105x steel. The feel and dispersion are noticbly better. Find a good clubsmith and have them follow the particular trimming instructions and you're set!
@@esully3600 I’m more nervous with it being a little bit heavier that it might mess me up. But if there a “lighter” feel with graphite i would do it. Idk a better way to explain it then lighter lol
Through no fault of Fujikura, I don’t think this was a great comparison. There’s no way I would fit Matt into an 85g stiff with a C8 swing weight from the numbers I’ve seen from him on the course and sim. I would have been interested to see numbers between say a Mitsubishi MMT 105S Dynamic Gold 105S And then Axiom 105S Essentially some other competitor that is closer to weight and flex of axiom than what Matt came in with. I love Fujikura, have blue’s in my woods and black in my driver. But I feel like Matt could have got tighter dispersion from a 105g shaft and D2 Swing weight no matter the model because his original fit was so bad.

Whats the explanation for this?
Love those BB&F ferrules. Great company, great product. If I can't golf worth a crap, I might as well look good.
My driver, 3 wood, hybrid, and 7 iron are Fujikura’s. I’m happy with my results. Dope video!
I like the 105 Gram Shafts weight over 85 Gram Shafts. Helps you slow your swing down to hit more accurate shots.
This guy always make me smile love his videos
I liked seeing some of the process he went through building your set with the axioms.
The answer is simple : YES they are the best Iron Shafts ever made !!!!!
Great content Matt. Subscribed today. Nice work.
I heard steel has a longer lifespan. Hence why i have steels. I keep my clubs long. I do have a lob wedge with graphite wedge flex. Light and spinnier.
Upgraded to 105x into some TCBs. Just do it if you're on the fence. They're great feeling and perform.

hope you dropped to a 10!
@mcwaker1 thanks bro! Me too
I was literally just looking at these!
Nice video . Would like to see what wedge shafts are upcoming

I’ve been gaming Modus 105’s and 1050’s since 2008. So defiantly looking for an equivalent that might take a little edge off the wrists and elbows.
I have been gaming Modus 105 in the last few sets with great success. Have you tried the Axioms? If so at what weight and flex? TIA
I put these shafts in Sixon X5 head, I went with the 75-gram option
That’s what I’m looking to do. How do you like them?

What is your home course ? Handicap ? Are you playing any state tournaments ?

Check out those ferrell’s!

I was say by the consistent placement of the logos after the build that they were not pured, but don't know for sure.
Sst pures is a waste of money on premium shaft that has high build
Quality!
thats badass yo
Amazing
i havent seen anyone mention this as a possible driving iron shaft any thaughts
How can you book a fitting with them 😮
Only golfers would spend $800 to reshaft and, if you're a robot, maybe gain 500 in spin.
The big problem with these shafts is that a lot of folks can’t afford them. At $105 a shaft, it’s out of a lot of players reach. It’s about $900 just in shafts.
These are great shafts, but for me there was a very minimal improvement and was not enough to justify the price.
They look great!
How much of that spin, ball speed, and dispersion is due to the swing weight change from C8 to D2? I suspect quite a bit.
all of it
When will these be available as a premium shaft when ordering irons? These with the new 150s would be so nice
@mrshortgame who fit you in to a C8 swing weight? Did you know you were in a C8?
Defiantly want to test these in my i230’s wit Modus 105’s to understand if these deliver better feel, tighter dispersion and maybe even sneak a few extra yards.
Play mmt 125tx in my i230s. Wish I tested these too first. But the MMTs have been incredible with those heads
I've been looking at the 105s for my new setup.
I have had the 105s for about 2 months now, and I was playing 105x in steel prior. Pricey, but great decision. These shafts feel amazing
@@esully3600 Thanks! I currently play 105 steel but the set before this one was graphite and I love the feel graphite.
Hi, since the dispersion of these Axiom shafts are so much tighter, is it still necessary to SST pure these shafts prior to installation?
SST has been proven unnecessary with higher quality shafts. Makes literally no difference at all.
It helps china made shafts but why spend money on that when you can just buy better shafts to begin with
Like I do with all my clubs I might buy some on eBay when someone decides they can’t hit them…

What ball did you use? Spin seems low for v1x
Remember that was a 6 iron. Also hitting off a mat can reduce spin. On grass the spin should be higher and in the optimal range
so i have a cheap set of clubs and Don't have money to buy new shafts for any club what should I do? I work 9 to 5 ?
Find a new job!

I thought AJ put your set together? C8??
Best he could do with such light shafts
I know why your happy Matt those shafts must be free.😅
What did you guys feel like you felt? I felt feelings.
Loved the feel of them but boy did they produce some spin for me. Unplayable spin.
Sounds like a scam. “You’re getting more stopping power” when both shafts rolled out 12 yards.
